Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Strathcona County

Although the T.V was broken the owner was unaware at the time. He was great about it and offered a free night in the future and a late checkout. He responded to emails instantly. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. I definitely will stay there again!

Staying with Rox was a pleasure. The location was perfect. There were stores nearby within walking distance to get groceries, etc. The home was very clean, comfortable, cozy and peaceful. Rox was always available to answer questions and very helpful within a quick response time.

We were in town to celebrate a milestone family event. Ourselves and two sons and spouses. Jessica’s house was a perfect fit and very well appointed. Lots of room and comfortable furniture. Each couple had their own bathroom and private area so we each had our own space. Having TVs with cable channels was a very nice touch as we are big hockey fans. initially my son was going to bring his dog and at the last minute found a dog sitter and Jessica was understanding and accommodating. Communication with Jessica was easy and proactive. When we compare this accommodation with the option of 3 hotels rooms for a weekend, we are very happy we chose Jessica’s place We would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay, very accommodating left out play matts for my nephew! Very comfortable and homey feeling, we would definitely recommend staying here :)

Brittney's place was a true home away from home for us while working in the area. Spacious and clean with absolutely heavenly beds and bedding. A true pet friendly, our dog LOVED it here! Brittney was very accommodating when it came to our work schedule and I can highly recommend this place for long stays.

we stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my brother and his fiancées engagement, and we had the best weekend away with their closest friends and family! the location is beautiful, private and surrounded by nature, and we loved the large kitchen and all of the fresh outdoor space. this is the perfect weekend retreat, and would be a wonderful space to bring families together for celebrations or for a cozy and outdoorsy getaway. Gilbert was so attentive and kind and helpful, and was available for any questions we had during our stay. check in was easy and seamless, as was the check out!! would happily book this venue again in the future!! 😊

The location was perfect, stellar! allowing me to be independent without a vehicle. The three women who cleaned for me were thorough and fun. They were very helpful, knowing I had very limited mobility for the first 6 weeks I was there. The two televisions was a first for me. It made life really easy as I recovered from my fall, broken ribs, sprained wrists and ankles.

5 Plus Stars – A Hidden Gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed—there was a personalized welcome sign and a lovely thank-you card waiting for us. The cabin itself was absolutely immaculate: cozy, warm, and inviting. Every detail was thought of, from the extremely clean space to the incredibly comfortable beds. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook our meals, and we spent our evenings snuggled up on the couch, fully enjoying the peaceful, homey atmosphere. Cheryl went above and beyond—after a big snowfall, she made sure a path to the walking trails was cleared for us and even set up a fire pit, complete with firewood. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. This cabin is a true hidden gem. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and just relax, this is it. We’ll definitely be returning. The entire experience was 5+ stars!

House was perfect for us. We had an issue with the hotel we had booked for our daughters volleyball nationals and decided to book this house last minute. It has lots of space and a bachelor suite in the basement which our daughter stayed in and she loved having her own space. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would think of to make any meal you wanted. We did use most of it because most of our time was spent out with her team but if anyone was going to make their own meals this place is stocked. Weather wasn’t the best for us but if it was we definitely would have utilized the patio furniture on the deck as it looked like a great spot to relax. Everything was very clean and tidy when we checked in and it’s in a great neighbourhood with so many services close by. Definitely check out the Loca Italian Market which is only 5 minutes away. The beds were very comfy and the linens were also great. I wish the beds were kings instead of doubles but not a huge deal for a couple days.

It was the perfect place for a girls weekend. Though there was a fire ban at the time, Kim’s place still offered us plenty of activities, such as patio hangouts, board games, chance to watch soapy romantic comedies, beautiful short walks in the area and accessibility to elk island park. The beds were my highlight, I have never slept so comfortably.

Carlos and Sara’s listing matched to the tee! Our group was very appreciative of the room sizings and loved the large couch downstairs and foosball table! One of our teens referred to the place as 🔥! There was a beeping noise in the laundry room and Carlos came right away to fix it. He communicated quickly and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. The large seating table was perfect for our group to celebrate a birthday and Mother’s Day! The check out process was easy leaving us nothing to do except load the dishwasher. We will definitely book again!

Leanne and her husband were absolutely stellar hosts. We rented the house for a work event, and it was absolutely perfect for us. Very tidy home, lots of bedroom space for everyone, the hot tub was fantastic after a few hard days work, and a rural/quiet location perfect for everyone. We were quite fortunate to find this house so close to Ardrossan (as our event was held there), so it was a quick 15 minute commute back to the house. I highly recommend this host; her communication and flexibility were appreciated, as well as the overall "true home" feeling we all had when we stayed there over the weekend. Thank you again Leanne!

This house is was an unbelievable place of peace and serenity. It will always be a special place in my heart. Tami is an amazing person and I will always remember my time spent at the lighthouse! Thanks for everything Tami I truly couldn't say enough about this house and feel very blessed to have been apart of it.

It was a quiet area free of sirens and traffic. Had a walking/running trail close by, the house was nice and clean and it was an easy check in. It was also my first time staying in an air bnb so having an accommodating host was a plus.

Loved our stay here! The owners were very responsive and helpful. We were welcomed by an amazing smell upon entering the house (scentsy warmer), and the house was spotless! We loved relaxing on the deck and in the hot tub. And we especially loved the warm welcome from their cat Starski! Such a sweet cuddly guy :) We will definitely return in the future!

The moment we arrived we felt at home. The long driveway through the trees was exciting. Then you arrive at a beautiful log house, surrounded by trees & total privacy. Entering the house brought back so many memories from our childhood. The furniture, tv, Nintendo (love duck hunt) & the VCR with a great selection of movies. We are a family of 6 with dogs. It’s very hard to find a place where you have space & privacy. The yard was great for the dogs to run around. The walking trails go for miles, so much fun exploring. I can go on & on. Thank you Kaila & Cory for sharing your home with us during this hard time. We truly appreciate everything you did for us during our stay. Can’t wait to come back.
