A little bit of country

Guest room separate to the main house. Its a large studio room with en-suite. We're out in the country on a large lifestyle block, only 5mins from Inglewood which is a great little town, and 20mins from New Plymouth. Its a peaceful spot with a great view of Mt Taranaki from our garden. Our place is shared with 2 dogs (outside dogs), 3 cats (probably wouldn't see them), chickens and cattle on the farm From Sept - Oct we have lambs that are being hand fed. :-)

Easy to find us! Large, sunny and warm room with own bathroom. A comfortable Queen Bed, Fridge, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster,TV, tea /coffee facilities . FREE breakfast is included/ cereals/toast tea/coffee/milk/butter/jam.We are in a nice quiet street, close to town. Mount Taranaki/Egmont is a 10 minute drive. New Plymouth 30 min drive away! We have now added plenty of sanitizer and disinfectant spray to the room for your use while staying.

We loved so much Rob’s place that we extended it even though the weather was not looking good for outdoor activities. It is very private, quiet and spacious. We had a lot of luggage but no issues to handle them in the house. Super comfortable bed, linen and fully equipped kitchen. There was also coffee, instant noodles and granola available, along with salt, pepper and oil which was great as we wanted to cook some local food during our stay. The washing machine made all the difference considering all the hiking and trail running we were doing in the area. Highly recommend this place.

The location couldn’t be better: private enough to feel secluded, yet close enough to explore nearby attractions if you choose to venture out. What truly stood out was the attention to eco-friendly details. It’s clear that sustainability was thoughtfully considered in every aspect, which made our stay feel even more meaningful. The cabin’s commitment to the environment added a special layer of appreciation to the experience. The interior is just as inspiring, filled with beautiful, unique artwork that reflects a deep respect for both culture and history. Every piece tells a story and adds to the authentic charm of the space. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to stay here. It was more than just a place to rest—it was a place to reset. A super lovely and cosy cottage settled amongst a beautiful garden. Interior design was top notch and it matched the photos exactly, extremely clean and inviting. We really appreciated all the complimentary extras provided from both the kitchen and bathroom. Janine and her husband were wonderful and very responsive hosts with great local knowledge. Location was also perfect for all your day walks. Can’t rate Cottage 51 enough!
