Holiday rentals with a patio in Starved Rock State Park

This place was awesome. It had everything you'll need for your trip. Andrew was very responsive and flexible. Place was clean, quiet peaceful neighborhood, bathroom and kitchen was well stocked. I would definitely book again and recommend it.

We had a nice stay. The house was easy to find and communication was clear. It's not a fancy place or very up-to-date, but it was nice enough, clean enough, comfortable enough and a good price. They were very hospitable as well having everything from extra toothbrushes, razors, water bottles, and more. We didn't need a showy home. Just something comfortable, clean, and affordable. This was all of those. Although it was in a townhouse condo area with lots of homes nearby, there was not a lot of noise outside of soft road traffic. I'd use it again traveling there.

The place was very clean and exactly like the pictures - no surprises, which I really appreciated. The neighborhood is beautiful, with gorgeous architecture that was an unexpected bonus and made walks around the area very enjoyable. The only downside was the couch in the living room, which had a strong dog smell. Since the place is pet-friendly, it's understandable, but still a bit unpleasant. Other than that, everything was neat, comfortable, and well-kept. I would definitely recommend it - especially for pet owners!

What a lovely home! It felt like we were staying in a museum (which I’ve always wanted to do), but without the do not touch signs! The furnishings and design are all perfect for the historic setting and comfortable as well. Bill is amazing at communicating quickly and didn’t seem to mind all the questions I sent him as a first-time user of Airbnb! Entry is on a keypad and the house had all the supplies we needed. I hope very much to stay there again!

This was our 2nd time staying at one of Matthew and Stephanie's rentals and that's for good reason! They are always responsive and accommodating, and they always give us great recommendations for the area! The home was clean, peaceful, and in a nice area. Just a few minutes from downtown. They added little extras, like a basket of oatmeal, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa in the kitchen, nightlights in the bathroom, and etc. There is a note about trains nearby but none of us heard them and had no issues with sleeping soundly. It was a great stay, as always! 😊

Very cute, clean and comfortable! Had everything we needed. Love the location-very close to Starved Rock and Matthiessen which was our reason to be in Ottawa. Hosts sent a guide of things to do in the area and now we plan to come back! Loved the information they provided. Excellent communication and instructions. Highly recommend!

My family and I stayed for a long weekend while visiting some local state parks. The house was within 15 minutes of the two parks we visited. Upon arriving, we found the house clean, inviting, and very well stocked with all the supplies you could need. The back porch was a very relaxing spot where we spent our afternoons. The recreation room was a huge hit with the kids also! We would recommend this house with five stars and would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Nautical Nest and especially appreciate our host’s flexibility and kindness. The nest is cute and comfortable and located in a safe community. With State Parks nearby and great local eats you can’t go wrong booking here!
