I had a very good stay at Jacky's place. The room was quite large with a full functioning kitchen and living room. The bathroom is large as well, hosting a convenient washing machine . The shower had excellent water pressure with an inline water Hester that you control for instant warmth water. The property is unique in that it has a full size 25m swimming pool with multiple lanes. Being a swimmer, this was a big factor in my stay. The location is a little remote and sits on top of mountain. There is supermarket less than 800m away, but may be a challenge for some walking up and down the mountain. Most of the restaurants and places you'll want to visit are a few km's away. Expect to use Uber regularly or rent a motorbike onsight from Jacky, which I did. Overall, I was pleased. The location fit my needs as I was visiting a friend who lived nearby. The location may or may not suit your needs. I found the value to be very good for the area. I would stay here again.

Nayani’s place was just perfect. It has all you need, great location and very clean. We have return to Colombo within the same trip and book the same place again. Definitely recommend the place :)

Fantastic accommodation in a very special location. A warm and friendly welcome from the team on arrival, who were always on-hand to help with everything. Food was excellent - a great selection of fresh, traditional local food and western favourites too. Highly recommended!

Thilan’s place is beyond my expectation! It is located at a quiet village, only 7 to 8 mins Tuktuk from the beach. The room is spacious and super clean, with all necessary amenities! Thilan and Buddhi were really helpful. You can easily go to restaurants nearby or at the beach by messaging Buddhi and let him take you. Highly recommended this place if you want to have a quality stay while enjoying the beach at Hikkaduwa.

WOW! what a beautiful family, area, and time! I truly loved my time in Polhena! It was walkable/ bikeable/ scooter able to so many places but it was a bit off the Main Street (which i really enjoy) I was always greeted with a smile, sometimes a coconut roti and curry :) The sunrise and sunset are both great from the room too!

Awesome place! Bummer I only stayed one night because the place was really beautiful and Liyanage was very kind and helpful with everything. Would definitely come back any time!

Nipuni and his parents are welcoming and available. We were their first guests, and they made every effort to provide everything needed (fan, extension, utensiles kitchen). The location is quiet, the sheets were clean, and everything was tidy.

A uniquely beautiful place, run by some very smart artists. The three floors each have a separate guest room with bathroom. The architectural features and layout of the rooms feel like a 5-star hotel, with several shared lounge areas that are indoor-outdoor designed so you can hear the birds and monkeys hopping around the jackfruit tree. The owners live next door if you need them, but for most of my week-long stay I had the luxury of enjoying the entire place to myself, perfect for writing and thinking. A great place for a longer stay, away from crowded center and in a real neighborhood. I miss it already.

We travelled for a month, and this was the last stay in Sri Lanka. We stayed various places, and I can tell that Pradeep's place was one of the most valuable place to spend longer time. Everything was just right. Room and bathroom were clean, and everything which is posted are there for you. Host and his family help you out all the time. It is a bit away from the city centre, but very calm and nice place without any disturbances. You also could rent a scooter from Pradeep. We rented many scooters during the trip, and this was the lowest price to rent it. We drove scooter, and could easily get Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, and Galle Fort. He also asked his father to help us to get the Galle Railway Station on the day we checked-out. Thank you Pradeep, and the ice-cream cone was the best ever 👍🏼
