Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Spittal an der Drau District

The place is exactly what you expect from pictures - we were 2 families and had plenty of both privacy and shared space to spend time together. Apart from the fact the house was rather cold upon our arrival (the heating didn't yet heat the cold building), everything was perfect, and both Sandra and Edith (the hosts) did their best to make us feel welcome and comfy. Sandra was always ready to answer our questions and gave us local tips, too. Edith even brought us homemade cake .. simply sweet. The place is perfect for a winter retreat - cca 20 mins to Katschberg for good skiing, snow tubing hill just a few hundred meters from the house, and a safe garden behind the house. It is also well-accessible, even in snowy conditions. As soon as the house got warm, we never wanted to leave .. and the sauna after the day on the slopes was a treat .. :) Overall, we can only recommend this place, and we thank you, Sandra and Edith, once again! I hope to be back :)

Great chalet in the immediate vicinity (5 minutes by car) to the ski slope St. Oswald/Brunnach, where there is ski rental, children's ski school/ski kindergarten and gastronomy directly on the slopes, as well as parking. We were there with two families in the New Year's week (4 adults, 4 children aged 4, 6, 8 and 9 years) and the house is exactly as described and very comfortable. Particularly noteworthy is that the house gets very warm (oven, partly underfloor heating), and there was always enough hot water for showering or bathing. We've experienced all of this differently. All service providers were super friendly, from the woman in the toll booth on the highway to the service in the restaurant despite rush hour. The ski kindergarten delighted our little one, so we could go full throttle on the slopes for a few hours in the morning (slope recommendation 20, 22 and 28 for carving for advanced skiers). Thanks Nora for being so accessible! We can only recommend your house!

The best host of Airbnb that we ever met: warm and friendly. The house is like a castle, it's very peculiar and set in a quiet place; you are literally surrounded by nature and we were lucky enough to see the stars were well at night It doesn't take much by car if you want to visit the Kaerten lakes from there, and cities like Spittal and Lienz. Thank you very much Hetty!

The villa is beautiful, modern, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Everything related to the villa was perfect, from the parking space for four cars to the spacious rooms and nice bathrooms. The living room with the fireplace and kitchen added to the overall enjoyment. The terrace and garden with a barbecue are a special highlight, where we spent most of our time, enjoying the stunning view. We would definitely return again.

We immediately felt at home! The house is beautiful and you can enjoy absolute peace. The housekeeper Monika welcomed us very warmly and handed us the house really spic and span. The furnishings are extremely tasteful and the rooms very spacious. We were also allowed to be guided by Heinrich through the castle next to the forester's house, which was very interesting. The castle will probably also soon be bookable via Airbnb and is certainly a great experience!

We had a traffic complication at check in and that's why we were driving late. It wasn't a problem either (we apologized on the phone). The hosts occupy the upper floors and welcomed us very warmly. They also prepared a welcome gift for us in the form of fresh food for breakfast and a Carinthian beer for refreshment along a strenuous journey. Throughout the stay, the hosts were very welcoming and gave us tips on local highlights. They are active people who like dogs (they have a brown labrador). They played with our dog. Hygienically, there was no overwhelming luxury and the location of the basement apartment was evident. Otherwise, absolutely perfect. Especially the layout. Two bedrooms and a living room from each of this room large french doors to the great garden that we had all at our disposal. At the end of the garden a typical mountain river with clean and cool water. We used it for bathing and splashing (just swimming in the stream). A kitchen fully equipped with dishes and an electric kettle. Coffee dripper. Toaster.

We stayed in a spacious and very cozy apartment equipped with everything we needed. The access to the lake is great, there are two trampolines for children, stand up paddles and even a pedal boat to rent. Anton and Margot are two extremely gracious hosts who care a lot and have made a lot of things possible. We felt very comfortable in Haus Bichel and will definitely return. The next vacation is already booked. Thanks again to Margot and Anton!

The apartment was beautifully furnished, clean, and had everything we needed. Eleonora’s kindness and attention to detail made our trip even more special. Fantastic family vacation in the middle of the mountains! We were warmly welcomed by the hostess Elisabeth and were able to check in flexibly by short arrangement. The Cosy Alpin apartment offers enough space for the 3 of us and is simply super nice and cozily furnished - the direct view of the mountains completes this perfectly. The outdoor area (fireplace, conservatory, dog area) is also designed with a lot of love for detail and invites you to cozy hours under the enchanting starry sky. We received great tips for excursions in the area and otherwise you could contact Elisabeth at any time. Thank you for the hospitality - it was a completely successful holiday. We found the accommodation to be a perfect size with a beautiful view and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything we needed, we would absolutely stay again.

Timea and her husband are very nice spontaneous lovely people who take you a lot into account. A cozy snapps and a chat was great ; at the same time considering our privacy. The bathroom and kitchen are separate from the cottage but that's no problem at all. What was also nice: the giant lawn where you can sit / lie in the sun all day if you want, but also in the shade. Then the river where you can swim ( with crocks on because of the stones in the water) . Hammock where you can lie down with your feet in the water!! You will hear traffic across the river. You could call that a drawback. But at night you don't suffer from it.. We had a great stay during this week!

Tanja and her in-laws, who manage the cottage, are very friendly and helpful. The location is of course fantastic and the cottage very nice. It should be noted that the electricity is provided by generator and is only available at a very reduced rate (light) between 9 PM and 6 AM. The heating is a furnace heater, which is good to know at this altitude and the temperatures there. Communication was good. The journey can be a little intimidating if you are new to the mountains - the navigation system says 100 km/h on mountain roads and thus calculates the travel time earlier. But you're more likely to be traveling at 30-50 km/h. It's good to find your way

Pure relaxation! If you don't get down on the spot, you are very sure to have serious problems. The deceleration going out of this place is fabulous…

It was a dream and exactly the vacation we wanted. It is exactly as described. A beautiful mountain cabin - we were there for ourselves and could enjoy the tranquility and just completely switch off. Everything is clean, and the heated pool outside was the greatest luxury for us. We sat in the warm water in the evening and looked at the stars. The road up the mountain is, as others have already written, a real mountain road, but for me with a normal car it was quite feasible. Arrival and departure also worked out great, Madlyn picked us up down the street and accompanied us to the hut. I truly recommend this place!

Super nice contact, answers came very quickly and in detail. Very cozy house, looks original better and bigger than in the photos. Everything clean and beautiful clock yet modern. I only heated and cooked with wood, that was awesome. Super great area where you can experience great tours (we in winter with lots of snow). We made beautiful snowshoe tours and everything in the immediate vicinity. Very nice neighbors who are there to help you, where we were also invited to Christmas Eve, such a thing is not self-evident. Thank you for these wonderful quiet beautiful days in the house. The house and walking is highly recommended.

The host was great, he was very polite and was ready to adapt to our needs. The house was very cozy and beautiful. The location is great if you are planing to travel by car otherwise it is quite remote.
