Holiday rentals in Spieden island

You pay for the view, and a beautiful view it is!! We loved our stay here and would love to come back. The property was a little dirty such as a spilled mess in the fridge, dirty floors with crumbs and hair, and foggy windows. We were also disappointed that the toiletries were so low that we had to immediately replenish them and didn’t even have time to relax before hitting up the store for provisions. Now for the good stuff!!! The views are incredible and the bedrooms were very comfortable. One thing to note is the tub is quite high and our grandma did have some troubles with that. Anyone with mobility limitations might want to look into this before booking. Cooking went smoothly for the most part, but we did have to buy a large baking sheet since there wasn’t one available. Most other kitchen items kept up with a group of 6. Cooking in Airbnbs always has its pros and cons but this kitchen had almost everything we needed for large-scale cooking (large pans, many dishes). Great hosts!

Perfect location, amazing view, and very quiet. The only sounds are the waves. What a relaxing start and end to each day. We were treated to whales passing by at dinner and a visit from what appeared to be a sea otter while sitting on the beach. All of this along with Lynn and Brad’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness made this the best Airbnb experience we’ve had. Thank you, we’ll be back!

Very private, cozy, unique place to spend a couple days away from the city. I very much enjoyed the space, and the island in general. I would definitely stay in the bus again. Waking up to deer right outside your window was a really cool experience.

Gorgeous location, views are unbeatable. Such a lovely space, every member of the family read in the window seat at some point. Making breakfast and watching for the native otters to come play was a daily treat. The deck is massive and such a lovely vantage point of the harbor. So many critters to watch. Absolutely loved this home. We had 2 kids under 7 and they felt right at home with the stuffy toys and kids room with 2 single beds+. The house is about 5 min from the ferry and about 20-25 min from Eastsound - beautiful drive with lots of farm stands along the way.

Had a great time in this glamping setup, in a roomy tent shaded by trees (Queen bed, firm but comfortable), with a 4-chair umbrella cafe table and our own camp kitchen. We had camping gear but would have been fine with the basics provided - sink w/ running cold water, stove, pots, dishes, cups, utensils incl. can opener, cooler, unobtrusive garbage/recycling buckets w/ lids, etc. Amanda's camps are completely separated for privacy, and steps away from a pretty farm with paths to walk around. We loved the roomy wood outdoor shower, with great water pressure and very warm water. We were close to everything on San Juan, including Friday Harbor (15 min drive). The front gate was easy to open and close on our way in and out. As others have mentioned, a single porta-potty shared with other sites isn't ideal, but it was serviced midway through our three-day stay & we never ran into anyone there or at the shower. Woke to the rooster/animals, as advertised. Private and a great value!

We really enjoyed David’s house, which was clean, uncluttered, comfortable and beautiful, with beautiful views. David was very responsive with messages, and helpful with information about what might be happening in the area, and gave great suggestions for restaurants. Our vacation was even better than we’d planned because of David’s knowledgeable tips.

My husband and I have been blessed to stay at many spas and retreats, but nothing compares to the experience we had at Joe and Dawn’s Farm Stay on Pender Island. While it’s listed as an Airbnb, it’s truly a healing retreat. From the moment we arrived, a profound sense of peace enveloped us. The property, nestled among towering redwoods and Douglas Firs, is a sanctuary for the soul. Joe, our incredible host, went above and beyond to make our stay unique and personal. His warmth, love, and attention to detail made us feel truly cared for. From the soothing sauna and invigorating cold plunge to the serene hiking trails just steps from our door, everything felt intentionally designed to invite healing and renewal. By the end of our stay, we felt refreshed, uplifted, and ready to return to the world with renewed energy. I wholeheartedly recommend taking time for yourself here. You won’t just visit—you’ll heal. And like us, you’ll already be planning your return the moment you leave.

The house is just like the pictures. It’s very well kept. The kitchen has every thing a chefs kitchen is supposed to have. We were there in winter so the heat was important for us. The house is well heated. Washer dryer works well. This office is nice and cozy. The private dock is nice for fishing and crabbing. Thomas the host was very responsive and took care of minor issues promptly. I would definitely like to be back there.
