Apartment holiday rentals in Southfield

Perfect place for a short stay. The unit was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. AC worked great for balmy Detroit summer days. Closest bar/restaurant is about a mile walk away, a quick walk or scooter (go to McShane’s and get the wings!). Only slight quibble is - hope you don’t get a family with young kids staying in the unit upstairs cos their morning stomping comes right through the ceiling. Jaclyn tried her level best to rectify but kids are gonna be kids, whaddyagonnado?

The host was responsive and helpful. The place was very clean and peaceful. Everything we needed for our family.

Had a great stay while attending a conference in Detroit. The public bus was easy to navigate, and stops right on the corner. Great selection of restaurants close by and a terrific coffee shop. Enjoyed walking around the historic Indian Village neighborhood. Peter was super responsive and helpful when I had questions. Would happily stay again next time I'm visiting Detroit.

This apartment was beautiful, comfortable and had lovely decor. It was great space for my husband and I to spend a few days, with lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

I'm so glad we chose this airbnb for our visit to Detroit! The place was spotless, spacious, and adorably decorated! We loved the beautiful big windows and enjoyed having our morning coffee out on the terrace. Gil & Margot were super friendly and responsive every step of the way. And the location was great, in a peaceful residential area but very close to all the action. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here next time we visit Detroit!

Had a great stay, very clean and comfortable. Will be back. Low ceilings but he described that in the info. Only compliant I had is the toilet paper coulda been a little better than it was but it was minor. Great host, cool neighborhood and easy access. Five stars!

This was perfect for us as we had a wedding weekend in Rochester hills and my husband was able to work from the Airbnb as well. Samantha was so kind and gave us some dill and lavender fresh from their garden. Very responsive and friendly! Only advice I would say is the ac control is not in the room (which they noted to us in advance so it wasn’t a surprise) but when we got home late from the wedding we were a little warm but didn’t want to text them in the middle of the night to ask them to turn it down. So if you’re a hot sleeper like me I recommend being proactive about that. Wonderful stay would stay again!

A few years ago AirB&B ran a TV ad saying, don’t be a tourist. Live like a local. That captures my stay at Casey’s place perfectly. I had a great place to stay, made 2 friends with the neighbors next door and I became a local. That is a real treasure. Thank you, Casey!!

Nice place and great value. Very slight cigarette smoke smell but nothing bad. Immediate neighborhood is fine but some rougher areas you may pass through

This location is a duplex and my sister and I previously stayed in the upstairs unit. I thought we’d miss the view from up there, but honestly, I really enjoyed the lower unit more. It’s smaller but cozy and still enough space for two people (who know each other well). It’s not too tight and the kitchen (huge fridge and lots of counter space!) the bedroom and the bathroom were just the right size. There’s also great amenities and the water gets nice and hot. You will hear people walking around upstairs and there’s a train that’s nearby, but for the most part, it’s otherwise peaceful and quiet. And downtown Ferndale is a beautiful place with a lot of activity/sights to see. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Our stay at Andrea’s place was amazing. The description of the Airbnb said it was in a basement but it didn’t feel like that at all. It was super cozy, clean and nicely decorated with nice touches to make it feel like a home away from home. The coffee station was super cute and it was the perfect size for a couple’s weekend. Although we didn’t cook, it was well stocked with kitchen supplies. It was quiet and in a great location not far away from nice restaurants.

We loved this AirBnB! It was very clean and quiet. This neighborhood is one of the better areas if you want a place close to everything that is Detroit. It is by the fire barn so if that bothers you then it may not be the spot for you. (I will say we only heard the firetruck take off maybe 5 times all weekend) It didn't bother us at all. The kitchen and bathrooms are full of gadgets if needed. Beds and couches are comfortable. Everything was clean. Lots of great aspects like free coffee, condiments, free cable, fast internet, close parking, nice porches, and more. We will be back

Thanks Michelle for having us in your beautiful apartment. Everything was super smooth - great communication, the apartment was very cosy and clean and it was well located. As I had to work remote I was also positively surprised by the very fast wifi connection (200mbit/s). I can highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Detroit.

The view was amazing! Brandon was an amazing host! this place is a MUST to book with lost of to do near downtown.

We really enjoyed our 4 days at Dana’s. Birmingham is a beautiful neighborhood, very sweet neighbors. Dana’s place was very comfortable, shower was hot, small kitchen was perfect to prepare breakfast. We would definitely feel lucky to stay here again.

Stayed for a night and caught a show at royal oaks theater. I couldn’t not recommend this spot more. A few bucks more than a hotel room but so worth it. Insanely close to so many things, great spots to eat and drink, a market next door, quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable and private inside, cool basement vibes.

No complaints. Unfortunately, we did get-to use the hot tub or grill. Great location and peaceful. need to put a curtain in the bathroom window because the top is not a frosted windows. There was a fan but no AC. Might be central air but definitely hope there is some way to keep cool in hot weather. Otherwise than that. I would give it a 8 out of 10.
