The host took care of us very well and their complimentary breakfast is something which we love so much, it’s absolute delight. It's tucked away in the beautiful and untouched Himalayan village of Lopchu. Keshav and his family were incredibly warm — their hospitality was truly something else. I stayed here with my older parents, and we were made to feel completely at home, like part of the family. Getting there can be a bit tricky, but with Keshav around to guide you, it’s totally manageable. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time. P.S. You can take a peaceful walk around the tea garden nearby. They also served us lovely homely food for dinner at a very reasonable price.

We enjoyed our stay with our pets at the beautiful homestay. The house is very well maintained and overlooks a valley and a hill. The house has a beautiful garden also. The ambience of the place is very peaceful. Sujata, the owner, cooked tasty meals for us and our pet dogs. Overall a very enjoyable and comforting experience.

The property is located in the mid of a tea garden. Beautiful place. Perfect for spending some time in the midst of lush green scenic beauty. On top of it Rebika is an awesome host. She took care of us very well. Approaching road is not perfect. But it's worth the trouble once you reach the place.

We had a wonderful stay at Sangeeta’s charming homestay, The Attik!! I traveled with my wife and two sons, and the space was perfect for our family. The bedrooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, making us feel right at home. Uday and Sangeeta were extremely warm and gracious hosts—very welcoming and always available if we needed anything. Uday uncle offered us great local recommendations and made sure our stay was comfortable from start to finish. While, Sangeeta auntie made our stay memorable with extremely delicious breakfast during our stay! I recently stayed at Newa house and had a wonderful experience. Dhana Di was incredibly welcoming and ensured I felt right at home before we arrived at her place. The location of the homestay was perfect for me. It was in a quiet. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. I loved the attention to detail, from the fresh flowers on the spacious balcony - where we friends could have an excellent time together to cleanliness in the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, ensuring we had a great night’s sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional cooperation and help from the host. We are grateful to the host for serving us hot, delicious, tasty food. The warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and delicious food made for an unforgettable stay. Great place! The homestay is erally great. Everythings works nice and the house is like you see in the pictures. My favorite part was the balcony that had an amazing view. Devdarshan and his family were really nice and were always checking in if things were okay. The kitchen is simple and could be more equipped, but I was able to cook nice things and, as I said It, it matches the photos and the description. It's a simple and nice place, close to the main road. If you looking for a nice, simple and calm place to stay in Gangtok, Bartola homestay is your place.

We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed it as a family. The surroundings were calm and relaxing. The wooden floors and warm lighting gave the room a cozy feel. We could cook for our little son, which was very convenient. The furniture was old—my child and I sank into the sofa and got hurt. Though the host fixed it after we informed them, we didn’t use it again out of caution. There was a guitar that matched the atmosphere, but one string was missing and it wasn’t tuned, so we avoided it. The window didn’t offer a proper view of the hills due to its position and nearby construction. However, the walls and photo frames were simple and elegant, giving off a nostalgic charm. A thoughtful touch was when the host gave a teddy bear to our son to play with the next day. Despite a few issues, it was a nice and memorable experience.

This place was new in listing but we either ways went ahead and booked it. We wanted a place with basic amenities to stay away from new year crowd. Starting from the time we booked this place till the time we left, Mr. and Mrs. Gyamtso were always there to help. A perfect host indeed. Though we did not meet them personally but they were very responsive over chats and calls. Their care taker Sanjeev Bhaiya was always a call away if we needed anything. The view from the balcony makes it all worth it. The taxi stand is just below the apartment and you can get a shared cab to MG road in 30 rupees only and it’s a 15 mins drive. It’s a Very clean and organised place. The property is on 5th floor but easy to climb with slow pace. If you have luggage, Sanjeev bhaiya will help you get that to and fro across the floor. A must stay when in Gangtok.

Had a wonderful stay here! Check-in was seamless, and the place was super easy to locate. It's in a very accessible spot, just a short walk from MG Road — one of the main attractions in Gangtok with a vibrant local market. The views from the windows and balcony were absolutely stunning. The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed — a working geyser, TV, clean kitchen with water filters and utensils — all in great condition and the home was really spacious. There was paid parking available as well, which was a plus. Overall, it’s a great stay for anyone looking to explore MG Road and nearby areas. Highly recommend!

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.

The Description does justice to the actual place, however expected the place to be a bit more spacious it was a snug fit for 7 people. pros Clean place responsive host good location as food is easily accessible cons the neighbours were a bit noisy WiFi has relatively low speed (4mbps) the property is located in a small street so big cars plan accordingly overall good value for money and a very good host would recommend and stay again

It was a great stay. Even though it was weekend and staff left early, Mr. Deepak was always responsive over phone calls. The fireplace was amazing, we clicked amazing pictures. Had an attractive garden with a very beautiful reading place. We stayed for 2 nights. On the checkin day we arrived very late, almost all restaurants were closed by then but Mr. Deepak arranged very homely food for us all. Overall, it was a great experience. We were headign to Pelling after Darjeeling, Mr. Deepak even gave a number for a stay at pelling which was amazing.
