Daniel's place is accurate as it was described. The room was amazing, we spent a lot of time exploring the locality. The location of the place is awesome very close to the nature.

Home away from home with an astounding view of the mountains!! We were in for a surprise when we reached Tashi homestay and saw the under construction elevation of the house…but all our concerns were washed away when we saw the well laid out, spacious and beautiful interiors. It was a perfect and cosy home with perfect hosts. Entire Tashi family was very courteous and always supportive of our needs. Each room was beautifully maintained with cosy beds and well maintained baths. Never for a moment we felt we were away from home. The view from the homestay is spectacular,.you can see the valley in front of you. The Tashi view point is also pretty close this place. The Tashi family treated us with excellent home food and we loved every bite!! The children liked the place soo much, that they wanted to stay there for ever :) Thanks Tashi for being a wonderful host and we will surely will love to stay with you again when we come to Gangtok next time!!

The Shire is an absolutely beautiful place to stay - the house and gardens are immaculate and Karma and his family are so welcoming! They really make you feel at home. There is a great view over Gangtok - the house is peaceful yet still very close by to the main centre of Gangtok. The freshly prepared local food that Karma's family cook in the restaurant was so tasty - my favourite food from my whole time in India! Spending some quality time with the family dog (outdoors) was also great, since I'd been very homesick from my own - he was very friendly and a delight to play with :) If you are travelling to Sikkim and don't hold an Indian passport please be aware that you need a special permit to cross the border - I was unaware of this and we were kept at the Border for a substantial time on the way there whilst this was sorted out - take plenty copies of your passport and visa and also several spare passport photos and you'll be able to obtain a permit to cross the border (extra permits also needed for visiting places further North in Sikkim). Also note that from here, the Himalayas can only be viewed on a clear day and if you get up early around 5am! Thanks for everything Karma and good luck with the Orchids!

Ayush is a very good person and host, he made us feel at home and his family took care of us. He made sikkim trip easy for us by telling us the best places to visit and arranged a driver as well. Although since the place is on the main highway you might hear some noises of vehicles but if you're from cities it won't bother you that much anyways it gets quite after 8PM.

Yangsum farms highly recommended. Great locales,ethnic food, above all great host. It's worth every penny u spend. This is my second visit to this homestay and my experience is even more lovely than my first trip. This time I had the grand view of snowclad mountains in the morning and splendid view of star studded sky in the night. As usual, Choden's father took great care of me and Choden's mother cooked delicious meals including the beef momo. Also, it was a pleasure to meet Choden's elder brother. Thanks and best of luck to Choden and her family.

We are glad we discovered this beautiful homestay. We had a wonderful stay and are thankful for all the recommendations we got from the super friendly hosts. The room is really cosy and in the small details you can feel that it is made with love. It is well situated a short ride from the city centre and the ropeway just around the corner. With Jenny's instructions it was also really easy to use the public minibuses. Though we can recommend the stroll from Chowrasta along the back streets, past Nightingale Park to Kurakani Homestay. In the café we especially favored the tasty Piadinas and of course the coffee. The only down thing was that the street was a bit loud in the morning. We hope to make it back soon.

My first visit to Sikkim was made memorable by Shivani and her parents. From the time of booking, until checkout, Shivani was extremely responsive. They are kind, generous, always helpful, and very accommodative, which made me feel at home. I got a room with balcony, which was comfortable for one person. The kitchen was well-equipped and bathroom was clean. Shivani also very helpfully shared Sharuk’s contact. He owns a taxi, lives close by and is very reliable - do consider taking his services if you need to get around Gangtok. Can’t end the review without mentioning a special mention to the best homemade Sikkimese meal, cooked and lovingly served by her parents!

We had a wonderful stay at Suzams Cafe. The views are stunning and the place is run by very warm and beautiful people. Both Abhishek and Suzam are very kind polite and helpful. It feels like home away from home, they have maintain the decorum of both the cafe and the stay, the most important part is the cafe and the stunning and marvelous view from the rooftop. I would highly recommend each and every travellers that they must check in. One more important thing is that it doesn't take much time from their cafe to Mall Road and other places, like cable car and Joy Ride and the host will guide with all the necessary things that is required while travelling. And lastly Thank You Abhishek and Suzam for hosting us. :)

The place was good, and the food was nice. It's located about 5 km away from Mall Road. However, the picture showing the river trail is slightly misleading—we initially thought the property was near the river, but that image belongs to another location. Overall, a pleasant stay, but better clarity on the listing would be helpful.

Prisa, Uncle & Aunty Pradhan were all such good souls! Place is great, with great view and top notch hospitality. Early morning breakfast with them to them going out of their way to make sure I am home safe as solo female traveller, everything made me feel loved and at home. I am fortunate to find them through Airbnb, I extended my stay because I felt like I am at my Grandparents house for holiday. From hospitality, great conversations, to attention to detail and Homestay experience is what makes Airbnb different from Hotels. I doubt I would have otherwise found this hidden gem. It is 10 mins walking from main center but it works in my favor as I wanted a quiet place to work away from all the hustle bustle. Definitely one of my best experiences with Airbnb all around the world! I will definitely take all these memories with me for life! Thank you Uncle, Aunty and their cat Gilbert! :)

Danny's place is very quiet and clean, the hosts are amazing and very kind, they help you with food, places and other recommendations, the place is more friendly to bachelors and backpackers who are looking to stay in Pelling. Only problem in the stay is that there are lot of bugs in the common areas since the stay is situated near forest region. Food offered is reasonably priced and tasty.

Fantastic! Couldn't have asked for better place and host! This will be my go to place in Kalimpong from now onwards. Food is absolutely fantastic, very welcoming, very helpful and friendly.

On 18th April we went there for our school reunion.The moment we arrived Kaushalya aunty welcomed us with a traditional white stole what a wonderful reception we received!
