Eeva is a exquisite and very kind person, she welcomed us warmly and showed us the beautiful house and also how to make a real Finnish sauna. The house is beautiful, very large and surrounded by nature and silence. I highly recommend this place.

Everything is very good. Everything was ready for our arrival completely - the sauna is heated, the house is warmed, there is everything you need. A cozy environment and a beautiful landscape around which you can admire both from the house and from the open veranda. I will especially highlight the bathtub on the veranda, which was also ready for our vacation immediately after check-in. Thanks to the hosts! We had a good rest. We only regret that we did not shoot for a longer time, but we will stay longer next time. Thank you!

Thank you very much! Wonderful place in a great location, it was wonderful to be steps away from the water. Comfortable house, we really enjoyed our stay. We didn't try sauna, because the air temperature was +26-29 and we had "sauna outside all the time". The car is must to have here, because grocery shops, restaurant are 20+ km to go.

It’s a great place to meet up with friends and family. We had wonderful holidays with friends, played American pool, table tennis, fishing, sauna, bbq, hot tub, motor boat. It’s a very quiet and nice place, we didn’t worry we can disturb someone. Jussi was very friendly and helpful.

We had the pleasure of being Mikko’s first guest in his airbnb accommodation. House was very spacious. We were three families with kids and it was enough space for all. All the arrangements were well through of as it had child beds, eating chairs , toys for kids and other sports activities equipment were present. The place is right next to the lake so i had chance to do fishing and also there were other water activities. The bbq place was glazed and covered and even possible to grill in cold weather. Overall we had a memorable time at this place and would definitely like to come again in future. All the best to Mikko for continued hospitality. Kiitos paljon!

We loved cabin F1 at the end of the neighborhood. It was more private. Wonderful sauna - 2 baths were nice and the view out to the lake was worth it all. Minor troubles were met with timely responses and support. Wonderful place - a drive away from restaurants and museums. Enjoy the local hiking trails :)

My American family stayed at Puikkari while they were visiting my wife and her family in Finland. Katariina was a welcoming host, and the house and location are spectacular. The building is practically new, and it is very nicely decorated and equipped with a good electric sauna, fireplace, grill and rowboat. The location is amazing, with beautiful views of the lake and Finnish forest. When driving here you feel you are going deep into the woods, yet it is only 20 minutes from shopping centers and restaurants in Mikkeli, so also very convenient. Wonderful place to stay.

The cottage was spacious, high quality, and super functional. The beds were comfortable to sleep on, the living areas were cozy, and the kitchen was well-equipped. However, the sauna and hot tub crowned our vacation. We had a good time and are happy to recommend the place to anyone looking for peace in nature. Also great for larger groups.

Our stay at this beautiful cottage was absolutely amazing. The place was cozy, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed to feel right at home. The location was private, peaceful, and just a short walk from the lake, a perfect retreat in nature. Our host Ignat was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He greeted us warmly, showed us around, and made sure we had everything we needed. His hospitality was exceptional. He even shared his personal number, ensuring we could reach him at any time without hesitation. We had an unforgettable experience enjoying the Finnish sauna and the outdoor hot tub right beside it. The ice swimming ("Avanto") was just a few steps away from the sauna making it perfect setup for a thrilling and refreshing experience! We spent two nights in this lovely cottage with family, but it felt way too short. We wished we could stay longer! We are coming back in the summer :). Absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

We enjoyed the privacy and the beautiful snowy scenery to Lake Simpelejarvi. The host had made us a hole into the lake from the jetty, which we enjoyed dipping into the icy water “avanto” was a great experience :)

We had a great experience in this cottage. It is really in the middle of the nature with a great scenery. The cottage itself is very well built and cosy. The wooden sauna at the lake with its hot tub is awesome! Enjoying a dip in the lake in the evening and then a sauna was wonderful and unforgettable!!!
