Houseboat holiday rentals in South America

We had such a lovely time staying at Ingrid’s house. The bungalow on the water was really cute and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Ingrid was a wonderful host. We snorkeled every day and went to town a couple of times for lunch and to purchase some groceries. We cooked every day so stock up on supplies. There are staples in the cabin like basic spices and oil. Such a peaceful and picturesque spot. We hope to be back soon.

We were 3 adults and we were all so excited with the house. So warm and beautiful with a very friendly host!clean and very lovely. It was a bit far from the town (25min walk) so we had the privacy we needed.Totally recommend it for an affordable option on such a fancy place!!

Had a great stay at Vidals floating island. Also had a tour of the islands and got to try to harvest reeds for building islands. Very interesting and informative.

What a privilege to experience this little piece of paradise. Sue and Murf were the perfect hosts. Engaging with lots of little extras. Great breakfast. Tranquil, super private (no one else!) and absolutely gorgeous. If you like being 'off-grid', this is the spot!

A quiet paradise over the water. The only sounds were birds and waves, and the occasional boat passing by. Connect to the ocean and nature day and night by watching birds and fish and bats right from your dinner table. If you're looking for some peace and quiet - this is the place for you!

The experience of sleeping in a floating cabin over the Amazon river is something unforgettable, the sunset and sunrise was spectacular, the cabin had everything you need (the hammocks were the most relaxing in the world due to the view), and Ahuvia's attention exceeded my expectations; Thank you for everything, I would not hesitate to return to this accommodation if I return to the Amazon, until soon

Manaus is an amazing city, the culture is different from the rest of Brazil but just as interesting, the people are all very nice, well the house was simply great, nothing was missing, the view was amazing it's easy to go there and it's very different from the rest it was magical. Host Tiago was amazing very thoughtful and helped me several times, especially when I got sick. Bravo and thank you so much

Looks like pictures. Luis picked me up from the port. It was a 5 minute boat ride. Many boats got off right in front which gives more opportunity to see other boats. The heater can't be left on all night so I used a hot water bottle the second night and that helped me stay warm. There is a restaurant on site and vendors. Very unique experience.

What a wonderful experience! Igara's houseboat was fantastic, exactly like the photos. Her attention to detail is exceptional and she does whatever she can to make your stay perfect. From the marina, you take a taxi boat which takes about 5 minutes and costs $R10. To get back to the marina, we just hailed a boat - they pass regularly. This is a houseboat amongst a community of them, so you have people and movement around you. There is noise during the day because there are some party boats nearby, but at night time most boats are empty. The noise wasn't an issue though, but it may be for some people. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights - thank you Igara fir a wonderful stay!

An incredible and magical place with an incredible view and very convenient we were able to do jet ski that took it to the house , also kayaking and without commenting on the walk in the same house without having to bother to see us from our place we enjoyed many activities . Thank you very much. The spectacular place will definitely be back

One thing to keep in mind is this lodge is really remote and set apart from the big group of "uros islands" that are close together so it is kind of aways from the Kalapajra port. If you are looking to detox and unplug from the world this is the perfect place. There is internet which is useful for short-stop communications, or to check-in on flights. Hot shower is available. I was a bit concerned about the eco-toilet, in terms of smell, but it was fine. The place itself and surrounding is amazing, just like in the pictures. The food is bountiful and delicious. The host Mr Ivan speaks exceptional English and very personable and chatted with us one evening, he is like a real friendly and fun neighbor. I was able to arrange a late check-in and early checkout, they are flexible whenever it can be accommodated. I highly recommend and I would not hesitate to come back and stay again.

Fantastic! The experience of having a private space with a practically private beach is wonderful. Staying in the hammock watching Tapajosós is indescribable. The communication with Márcio was great, the space was clean, the kitchen equipped, there are cutlery, glasses, barbecue... all very good. The host was also very flexible with both check in and check out. We loved it and would definitely come back.

Overall great experience. Everything was perfect. The captain is such a good person. I will definitely repeat.

Monique's place is great place to stay and recharge. The view of the boat house is unbeatable. Monique is a great host, she answered all the questions we had and provided clear instruction on how to get to her property. We had a great time at her place and definitely create some great memories.

Olivier and Sylvie are gracious and kind hosts. Their property is beautiful and the location so relaxing. The food is outstanding. It's fabulous place to spend a few days disconnected.

Such a unique find! Very fun to share a weekend with friends here. Food was great, beds were comfortable, and you just can’t beat the view. Staff were incredible and having access to the restaurant, pool, and hot tub was an added bonus. I didn’t know it was a resort before booking so there’s no communication via the airbnb app but just call the number available and they’ll answer your questions. Highly recommend staying at the cube!

The experience lived aboard the house is indescribable. Not only for the wonderful landscapes that Capitol Hill has, but for having all the necessary infrastructure, comfort, attention, and care of hosts. Gilberto and Larissa were amazing. We love every moment we spend. Very safe, very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Perfect for a couple and kids. Without a doubt it is the best boat in Capitolio and the most amazing experience you can have! I recommend with eyes closed!

It is an amazing place! Andrea was very attentive from start to finish, even though I booked at a very unusual time. The floating house is easily accessible, it is exactly as in the photos, the decoration of the place is beautiful and we had a pleasant surprise with the well-organized kitchen and with items that we brought but were already there. It was perfect and she helped a lot at all times, whether answering questions or giving guidance. It was worth every penny and I have already recommended it to others. Thank you!

I loved this whole place, it's so beautiful that it feels magical, I loved kayaking, I loved Capuchino and Nieve, and Blanca's service was excellent, I would definitely stay longer

This is a great place right on the water. Hosts Naomi and Jason were amazing and having access to communicate with them is super helpful. Similar response to other reviews, the house is loud. Anyone staying in the lower 2 bedrooms can hear all the footsteps. It wasn't a particular issue for my group but its def something to note. The house is located in the "quiet" end of town. Everything is just a short walk away but you are away from the madness. There is now construction next door that does begin at 8am. Again, not something of concern for our group but prob important to know for the next few months as the homes are being built right next door. Great stay, beautiful location close to anything you need. And amazing hosts!!
