Family-friendly holiday rentals in Søndre Nordstrand

We enjoyed our brief stay at Kristian’s apartment. It was a bit tricky to find the apartment and it’s up five sets of stairs (we left luggage in the car!) but we appreciated the thorough instructions Kristian gave us when he greeted us upon arrival (we weren’t used to meeting the host - that’s not really done in the US). Amenities were nice and we’d definitely stay again!

Spent New Year here, fantastic views, very comfortable accomodation, well equipped if you chose to self cater, would recommend.

Marthe 's place was lovely. We stayed there for one week and we had a great time. Grocery stores and restaurants just one minute walk away. The subway station was also one minute away and the Central S station was about 5 minutes away. The bus stop to Bygdoy (museums) was about 2 minutes away. The neighborhood was very lively in the evenings with many people outside. We felt completely safe. The apartment itself was large and clean with funky art decorations, perfect for a family with enough space for everyone. The wifi was very fast. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and enjoying the rooftop views. Marthe was very kind and communication was fast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thanks Marthe for everything.

We had a lovely stay at Christoffer’s apartment over the weekend. Christoffer was responsive with communication and flexible with check in and out. He was also very generous with recommendations on what to do in Oslo. The apartment was in a good location, with the locals and easy to commute to the centre and back on public transport. It had everything we needed for our weekend visit. Highly recommend staying if you visit Oslo ☺️

Это были прекрасные 4 дня в уютном и комфортабельном доме со всеми удобствами. Более доброжелательного и отзывчивого хозяина мы еще не встречали. Дом расположен в пригороде Осло, рядом с автобусной остановкой и магазином. Все фото и описание дома полностью соответствует реальности. Мы чувствовали себя как дома и благодарны за щедрое гостеприимство Anniken. Она очень оперативно отвечала на все наши вопросы. Мы долго будем вспоминать этот отпуск и надеемся вернуться еще раз, но уже летом ;)

6 netter her med noen kompisser funket veldig bra! Veldig flott leilighet der alt virket å være på stell. Følte oss veldig velkommen til tross for at vi ikke møtte utleieren. Beliggenheten e veldig bra, så du har alt du trenger bare en liten gå tur unna. Veldig bra👍

This is such a handy, funky flat. It has a spacious & airy atmosphere. We have really loved spending time here. Lars has been so helpful, clear and honest about everything. All the facilities were fantastic. It is somewhere we would love to use for future visits. Our only problem was that the door key let us in another door(same address) and we took our bags up. (5 floors!!) ...but Lars's place is round the corner by the school. Thank goodness, as the other place was dark & dingy. We have absolutely loved staying in this apartment. Thank you Lars !!

Marte's place was beautiful--I personally really loved her decorative taste (and learned that I love Elsa Beskow and Alphonse Mucha). Aside from that, it was very clean and she communicated with us in advance about some construction that was going on at the property, which turned out to be fine for us. The neighborhood was quiet with some great restaurants and very easy access by bus from the city center. There was an outer door to the complex that got stuck at one point and Marte was very helpful and proactive in getting help for my husband to get back in. Overall she seemed laid-back, friendly, and cheerful. I highly recommend staying with this fantastic host. Thank you so much.

Vi hadde en fantastisk opplevelse på sommerhytta i Hvitsten! Hytta er helt nydelig, med en perfekt beliggenhet som ga oss ro og vakker utsikt. Vi, inkludert vår lille familie og hund, koste oss i fire netter og kunne ikke vært mer fornøyde. Verten var svært enkel å kommunisere med og svarte raskt på våre henvendelser. Da vi opplevde litt utfordringer med wifi, ble det ordnet opp med en gang, noe vi satte stor pris på. Alt i alt et herlig opphold, og vi gleder oss allerede til å komme tilbake. Anbefales på det varmeste!

En personlig, flott og velutstyrt leilighet i et ærverdig trehus i Ekebergåsen. Du har utsikt over hele byen, men det eneste du hører er fuglene i trærne utenfor. Det går buss fra rett borti gaten, eller du kan gå ned en nydelig (og bratt!) gate og ta trikken inn til sentrum. Uansett er du nært på alt. Og kommer du med bil som oss, får du stå gratis på grusplassen utenfor huset. For to voksne med en baby var det helt ideelt, og vi gleder oss til neste gang!

We had a really nice stay at Kaja's place in the Holmenkollen area. The house is large and has a very beautiful kitchen and great upper floor with lots of amenities for kids. The bathroom is fantastic and bedding is great. There is lots to do in the area especially if you are into nature. Also the railway to the city centre is relatively close and there is also a direct bus to the city center super close by. We would come back for sure!

Super séjour chez Thove. Nous étions déjà venus et avons été très ravis de revenir pour revivre cette expérience en hiver avec nos enfants. Thove est super accueillante, gentille et nous a reçu avec un grand sourire. C'était un plaisir, nous recommandons++. A une prochaine peut être 😊

Very nice and cozy place with a wonderful terrace, the house was fully equipped and very calm and clean The amenities were excellent - the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials, the living area was warm and inviting with a beautiful fireplace, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The host was very helpful and always ready to answer to any question. He was very welcoming It feels like a true home away from home, would definitely reccomend to stay here!!!

Stayed for about three weeks and had a very pleasant time. Host is very kind and helpful. The apartment is cosy, well equipped with all that’s needed. Small kitchen with kettle, coffee machine, toaster, electric oven, hobs, towels, cleaning equipment. Very nice bathroom with washing machine as well as detergent and fabric softener. Sofa is actually newer than in the photos. The house is in a beautiful area, saw deers multiple times. Majorstuen is under 40 min by public transport.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

Beautiful apartment with fantastic view overlooking the harbour area. Easy walk to Opera House, and then into town. Great communication from hosts and flexibility with check-in when our flight was cancelled. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here for four nights in May, 2023. The place is in a relatively new building and everything in the place was effectively brand-new. The location was a little bit off the main area, but it was a short walk to downtown so that really wasn't an issue. The place was clean, comfortable, and we would definitely stay here again.

We were a large family group gathering for our first time in Oslo. The island location is gorgeous and the house is both beautiful and well suited to a family group. Catherine was proactive in getting our groceries delivered so we were comfortable despite no stores on the island. We also had free use of their boat which allowed us to arrange our schedule as we liked. Pacing with our large family group meant accounting for two shuttle trips to get all of us across to the mainland. The 31 bus line was close and frequent for getting us into Oslo. We bought a week pass but no one ever seemed to check the bus ticket. The house itself was well equipped with everything kitchen, fireplace and gorgeous outdoor space. It was a little cool and rainy for the pool but the hanging outdoor bed was a favorite spot to hang out.

Great host, great stay, exceeded expectations. We were really happy with the place, it had plenty of room and beds for our guests. There is room for 2-3 cars at front, could not hear any road noise so it was peaceful, plenty of bedding and everything felt clean and fresh. Kids loved using the trampoline and playing some of the many games that are around. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and everything you need. Iron and ironing board was handy as well as washing machine. Gym was a nice to have with TV whilst you work out. The host was really quick to respond when we had questions and they were very professional. Overall, we loved our stay here!

This home has a perfect location for exploring Oslo. It is well equipped with everything you need for cooking, and has toys for the kids to play with. It has fun decor and style and comfortable beds. Lots of space for our whole family. We didn’t end up using the pool, as it takes some effort to get the cover off and back on. We loved our stay here!
