You live quietly, surrounded by greenery, live centrally, bus and train within walking distance. The apartment is comfortable and cozy. Here you have a good start for hiking (Müngsten Bridge, Burg Castle), cycling (Corkscrew Trail - Ruhr area), visiting Cologne, Düsseldorf and the Bergisches Land and much more. In the evening you can look far into the distance or sit outside in the summer with a glass in hand and delicious food on the grill. In front of the house is a parking space and a private entrance.

Our accommodation is located near the city center of Solingen with train connections to Düsseldorf and Cologne, a 5-minute walk to the train, 10 minutes to the city center. It is located in the attic of a typical Solingen half-timbered house. The apartment is about 45 square meters, has a separate bedroom with pull-out double bed, kitchen with dining table, bathroom with shower and living room. You will find relaxation after a strenuous day at the trade fair, an extensive shopping tour or a hike in nature.

Walnut Tree Cottage Apartment wurde 2023 fertig gestellt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail im englischen Stil eingerichtet. Die Räume sind mit z. T. antiken Möbeln und Tapeten des National Trust (England) aus 3 Jahrhunderten dekoriert. Die Ausstattung der Küche und des Bades ist modern und hochwertig. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Sackgasse, die Autobahn wird in wenigen Minuten erreicht. Der fußläufig gelegene Bahnhof bietet Direktverbindungen u. a. nach Düsseldorf, Köln und Wuppertal.

Modern apartment between Düsseldorf and Cologne

You would live in the small village called “Meigen”. It is very close to the city centre of Solingen. The drive to the city centre is about 5 min. with the car and 10 with the bus. You can park your car almost in front of the apartment. The train station „SG-Mitte“ is also very close. By foot you will need around 20 minutes, with the car only 5 minutes. If you want to ride to Düsseldorf or Cologne you can easily take the train (30-40 min.) or your car (same time), perfect for fairgoers.

Wuppertal is 13 km away, Düsseldorf 20 km and Cologne is 30 km away. Ideal for short breaks in the beautiful Bergisches Land, for business travelers and trade fair visitors.

In the same building we run an art gallery that can be visited.

The apartment (40 square meters) is in a well-kept condition. We look forward to seeing you here in W.-Vohwinkel and hope that you have a pleasant stay. We have already prepared some things for your visit. For the first day you will find coffee, tea, water, spices, pasta, tomato sauce, etc. in the kitchen cupboard. If you have sunny weather, you are also welcome to have a barbecue on the terrace. A small charcoal grill and charcoal are available for you.

Within walking distance are the Solingen Hospital (350 m), an ALDI supermarket, a pharmacy, and a steakhouse. The location offers good transport links to Düsseldorf and Cologne.

You will stay in the Vohwinkel district. The beautiful Art Nouveau house is very central and yet quietly located in a 30 km/h zone. The end stop of the suspension railway, the train station with S-Bahn and regional train connections are only a five or twelve-minute walk away. Shops, grocery stores and supermarkets (Kaufland, Lidl, Rewe, etc.) Pharmacies, ice cream parlors and restaurants are also within a radius of about three to ten minutes' walk.
