Holiday rentals with lake access in Skagafjörður

What a beautiful place to stay. A lot of care and thought has gone into the house, and our hosts could not have been more friendly and responsive. Thank you Ólöf and Ægir, we had a great Christmas in Ólafsfjörður!

Very nice house in a peaceful corner, lit up at night. The kitchen was very good and the bedrooms on the same floor as well, the sofa bed was very comfortable Has a washing machine and a very convenient dryer, all the necessary spices and condiments In addition, Margret was ready to change our arrival dates at her place due to bad weather and our uncertainty of arriving on the right day. The only small problem is the room which is in the basement, very humid Other than that we had a great time at Margret's place

Very nice place to stay for a few days.

This was a beautiful house tucked away in Olafsfjordur. It looked exactly like the pictures and was very clean. The hot tub was a great way to wind down at the end of the day and the weight room in the garage was a welcomed activity after long hours driving around the countryside. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. Great location. We totally recommend this place and Hjordis as a host.

Perfect and spacious accommodation

We had a fantastic time in the cabin, beautiful views, a fabulous Hot Tub. Loads of space to unwind & a great kitchen, we cooked every evening. Comfy bed, great hot shower & total peace and quiet. Used the Hot Tub every night, Stefan shows you how to fill it. Takes about 2 hours. We saw the Northern lights twice around 1030pm - Midnight. Great base to explore, Akureyri is about 90mins away through an awesome mountain pass. Check the road app for road conditions, we had all 4 seasons on the mountain pass!! Would definitely recommend a stay at this cabin. 3 welcoming dogs, Osk plus 2 others visiting & a very friendly cat, Sigga, who can open the door to get in. 😀

We stayed in this beautiful house for Christmas and it was magical! Kristin is the perfect host. Answering any questions I had quickly and thoughtfully. She decorated the house for Christmas with lights and a tree and even presents for my children. The house is even more lovely than the photos and the views are dreamy. The decor is modern and comfortable. The hot tub is lovely to relax in on a cold day. The house has everything you need and really feels like home from home. I was worried the house would feel cold but it is very cozy. It is about 45 minutes drive from Akureyri which is where the closest airport is. Dalvik is the nearest small town about 15 minute's away. We had the most delicious fish soup in Gisli Eirikur Helgi, a lovely small restaurant in Dalvik that I would recommend visiting! I would absolutely recommend this beautiful house to anyone wanting to visit this area. We did some amazing trips - whale watching, husky sledding, Forest Lagoon, Godafoss waterfalls.
