Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sintra

We just finished a fabulous five night stay and highly recommend. Gui greeted us upon arrival and walked us through the home. It is a historic home so there are some quirks, though nothing crazy. The house was a perfect size for our party of 8 (ages 12-70). The location absolutely cannot be beat - we never walked more than 15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go which was much appreciated at the end of the night! There is noise as the home is centrally located but that is a worthwhile trade off for the location. Washer (line dry) worked well and there were umbrellas, towels, sand toys, etc for the beach. We did not cook at the house so cannot provide a review but kitchen was spacious and well stocked. There is only AC in two of the rooms but there are shutters that help keep the heat of the day out and there were two fans available as well. Especially for the price and location, this is a great home for a large group.

Lovely stay, even lovelier host. Super friendly and responsive, and even sent a list of local recommendations for everything one could possibly need during a holiday. Would love to come back as it was such a special home and held spectacular views. Gorgeous vibes 🫶🏻🙏🏻

I rented this house for my parents when they were in town for a visit -- it's a great space with an amazing view and they loved it. The kitchen and dining area was great to join them for dinner and if we had planned ahead more we definitely would've taken advantage of the bbq grill in the garden!

We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return one day for a longer stay. The location worked for us & our planned day trips.

Very good host! She welcomed us with a lot of information and good recommendations for restaurants and visiting Lisbon. The cleaning was impeccable. However, there was a smell of dampness present. Maybe just the concrete buildings that cause this, as we are not used to this smell in Quebec. The small intimate corner is inviting! Thank you Annabella for your warm welcome!

Although short, we enjoyed our stay, the house corresponded to the description, located in a pleasant space and close to main areas such as Mafra and Ericeira. We recommend it.

Christina was extremely helpful and an excellent host. As a superhost myself, I would absolutely rate this place a 5 star. Her level of communication was excellent providing us with a driver and great local recommendations. I highly recommend having a hired driver while visiting the area if you want to travel outside the square.

We are locals and rented Mariana's place while we put the finishing touches into our new home which was delayed. Mariana was extremely helpful and understanding with our shifting check in and check out requirements given constant changes with mover and builder schedules. Mariana was so friendly and responsive. She sent us wonderful information to make the most of the area. Since we live here we didn't need it, but anyone coming for a visit will get the best of the best of the local experience. The house was perfect. Great location, great distribution. Great light. The pool was refreshing fun. Everything better than in the pictures and the description. If we ever need to refer anyone to a place to stay in Colares, Mariana's place will be top of the list. Highly recommended....and I have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world.

Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings. Easy to get around if you are renting a car. Lots of beaches and great places to eat nearby and close to Sintra

Beautifully renovated and decorated house in a very traditional village/small town. The garden with its cooling pool and dining/chilling area was equally beautifully presented as per listing. Although a car is needed to visit the area and for restaurants etc, Casa Arnaldo is in a great location for exploring the area including fantastic beaches, vineyards and historical sites, which Cristina informed us about providing plenty of useful information to make the most of our stay.

This is a very special AirBnB stay, the passion project of a family-oriented Dutch couple who have spent the better part of a decade crafting their vision of a garden poolside retreat, located in a village not far from the cliff side vistas of Praia da Vigia and just a short drive from the picturesque streets and diverse eating establishments of Ericeira. From the moment my dog and I arrived, both Ronnie and Johanna went out of their way to welcome me and help orient me to my new surroundings. I can truly say without exaggeration that they made me feel like family. The small poolhouse type bedroom I rented (there are multiple options on the property) was perfectly appointed with nice linens and the non attached bathroom, reachable via the garden courtyard, among the most luxuriant I’ve had in small rental stays (great shower). There are also wonderful shared amenities like an outdoor kitchen/bar and eating and lounging tables that let you stake out a particular part of the garden.

Elsa is a wonderful Host, just like her incredible villa. From the reservation, through the arrival to our departure, we were accompanied with kindness and benevolence throughout this experience. The house is ideal for hosting a large family, or groups. We had an extraordinary stay, in complete privacy, in this vast and comfortable place. Thank you again for your patience with our group, we sincerely thank you.

A beautiful little cottage close to amazing beaches and nature trails. Celia was also very friendly and most accommodating.

Spacious, spotlessly clean, bright with everything you could need. Very comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay. Great host - always responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend Carolina's place. Also a lovely big balcony to sit and have breakfast - would also be an added bonus to have a couple of loungers/comfortable chairs to enjoy this further.

An unforgettable week in your holiday home Our week in your holiday home was truly a dream. The panoramic view over the ocean and the beach was breathtaking , waking up to that view every morning was pure magic. What made the stay extra special were the small observations that coloured local life. It was fascinating to see how people enthusiastically took selfies at the most beautiful places. It was also impressive to see how suppliers brought their products down the steep stairs – a true art in itself. The balcony was a true paradise: spacious, comfortable and with a view that invited us to enjoy the surroundings for hours. Although we noticed the musty air in the bedroom, we accepted this. With the tips we received to regulate the humidity, we were able to further optimise our stay. A fan for the night would be a welcome addition to improve the air circulation. What a beautiful, peaceful retreat in nature to enjoy! We really loved walking to the cliffs and surrounding areas. Came across a farmer grazing his heard of goats… our daughter really enjoyed that. The air was crisp and fresh so make sure to take cozy clothes for the mornings and evenings. I would highly recommend and would be happy to return! Manuela was attentive from the beginning to the end, making sure everything was fine. She was very kind and pleasant at all times, and very attentive to our dog. The house was very cozy and quiet. It is true that in the mornings it is very bright and with so much light it is a little difficult for me, but it is fine.

It is a wonderful place if you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area
