House holiday rentals in Silves

We spent 5 nights in Mariana's cottage and felt very comfortable there. A small oasis of tranquility. We were able to make good use of the outdoor lighting, especially the pool. There were enough different areas. The private terrace on the first floor was wonderful and private. We only used the kitchen for breakfast, as there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We would come back.

We spent a week at the accommodation and had a very nice time! You need a car to get to the accommodation and it is not easy to find the accommodation, but the way there was extremely worthwhile. We particularly liked the quiet and beautiful location, the privacy there and the great barbecue and pool area. The nearest town, Silves, is one of the most beautiful in the Algarve. Very good restaurants can also be reached in a maximum of 20-30 minutes' drive. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and surprised us with a fruit basket from the garden upon our arrival. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed here for a week and it was perfect! The beaches are only a 15-20 minute walk away or a 10 minute bike ride! Definitely recommend that. The house is great and the garden is beautiful! The plunge pool was perfect for the hot days! I would 100% recommend this place :)

Stunning property in a very quiet area, nothing walkable. really lovely villa with lots of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Difficult to find in the dark but was met by the host and followed them to the property, everything was explained and very friendly service.

It was a wonderful time! The house is really 5 stars, very well equipped and organized. The layout of the rooms is very interesting! The neighborhood is very quiet and the house is close to the main attractions of Silves. The outdoor area is well used; the pool and barbecue are highlights. We love being able to enjoy the house with our puppy.

The villa was beautiful and clean. It had many amenities, everything listed in the description can be found in the villa, great for our large family. Outdoor space was amazing. The villa was in a good area, close to supermarkets bars and restaurants. The host was so welcoming and friendly, easy communication. We had absolutely no problems here and we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay! Great little place right in the centre, close to everything you would like to see in Silves! Sylvia was a great host and even left us some fruit in the fridge which was very appreciated! Thanks a lot!

John & Angie are very friendly hosts. We were pleased with the extensive welcome package with food and even tasty beers. The location is very nice; we had our own place with various lovely loungers and seats. There is also ample parking on private, enclosed grounds. The house was complete with a great sofa and a lovely bed and Netflix and YouTube for relaxation. We were also happy with the regular greeting by their dog Rio (since we also have a dog). In short: we had a wonderful time!!

Absolutely loved our stay at the villa. The house is amazing and the gardens are out of this world! Brilliant location for families as it’s really quiet but within walking distance to the town. The house is so clean - everything was spotless.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ahua Portugal, where our host Anne guided us with thoughtful local tips and quick responses. Nestled on a peaceful hillside above Seixe Valley, the modern house had every comfort we needed and felt like the perfect retreat. We were deeply inspired by Anne’s dedication to the land. She has led a reforestation project across her 18-hectare estate, planting over 30,000 cork trees to restore the forest after wildfires. Tip: Do plan to bring a reliable car. The unpaved access roads are best navigated with a vehicle that has good clearance. If you’re seeking a serene, private getaway with a caring, responsive host deeply connected to her land, Ahua Portugal is an exceptional choice! Five stars all the way, and thank you, Anne!

The villa is exactly as shown in the pictures - beautiful and very well maintained. We were particularly impressed by the fantastic view of the mountains and the wonderful pool, ideal for cooling off. The beach can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes, by car it takes a few minutes. Communication was always fast and helpful, check-in even worked smoothly at 2 a.m. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back!

We had a great stay at Christiane’s place! The apartment had everything we needed – all kitchen utensils were available, and even cooking essentials like oil were provided. The terrace was beautiful, and the location was excellent. Communication with Christiane was smooth and easy. Parking on the street can be a bit steep, but we always managed to find a spot. One thing to keep in mind: the bedroom doesn’t have a window, but there is an air conditioner that works perfectly. Overall, everything was excellent – highly recommended!

Amazing stay just like when we previously stayed in the villa, exceptionally clean, and beautiful just how you would like it!. Emy and Leo are extremely attentive and friendly and will make sure your stay is top notch! Can’t recommend this place enough! The local town armacao is a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk and filled with everything you need, from restaurants to bars to boat rides and beaches. 10/10 from myself and the family again :)

Very beautiful space! Loved the outdoor area. The host was very responsive and was even helpful fixing an issue in the shower with an incredibly quick turnaround.

Patrick was super communicative and helpful from booking all the way to the day before we flew, especially as Portugal had the blackout the day before we were meant to arrive! He was incredibly helpful at keeping us updated on the local situation in Silves. The villa itself was better than the photos, my parents had the master bedroom and were very happy with their ensuite and balcony! The pool is unheated so perfect for roasting hot weather but takes a little more getting used to in the lower 20s. The kitchen and outdoor BBQ area had everything we needed and we enjoyed the alfresco dining area very much. As one other guest mentioned, bring earplugs as the local dogs tend to bark at night. The villa is really well located for Silves and Carvoeiro, both towns we really loved and had some great food!

We had a super stay in casa da tia. Alte is a charming and quiet village and the cottage is right in the middle. Close to the river where you can go swimming and also close to some bars. The cottage itself had everything you need and was brand new. Recommended!

Stayed here as a family of 6 in May 2025. The villa is absolutely fantastic, all very modern design with a fantastic pool area. Carla is a fantastic host, excellent cominication and very responsive. The location was ideal to visit areas such Albufeira, Alvor, Portimao - all within 20mins by car. Our trip was superb and the villa was central to this.....cannot recommend this place enough, shame we only had a week!!

No review anyone could write could sum up why YOU needed to book this beautiful villa for your holiday. As we know, sometimes it’s also people that make the place. We can conclude that not only the villa was exactly what we needed but the welcome and nano second communication via text made us feel like we just knew this couple love making peoples experiences the best. Family of 6, three generations - we had a lovely stay in this house. Friendly neighbourhood, lots of street parking. Close to Silves, beaches, restaurants. Great communication/reaction time from our hosts when we had questions.

We were 12 people who came together (ranging from 3- 89 years old), from across the globe and we all had a wonderful stay. It was perfect. The areas (inside and out) were large enough for us to gather together as a group, and the house was spacious enough that people could retreat to their room or area should they want to break away for some alone time. We cooked big dinners, spent hours in the pool, and played games at night. The grounds were private, filled with beautiful bougainvillea, geraniums, and hibiscus plants. There is plenty of sun and shade (outside) and ACs in the bedrooms. I would say the pictures don't do the home justice. The rooms are larger in person. The hosts were readily available to help with finding things in the home or with recommendations for things to do in the area.

Perfect place in the most beautiful setting! Peaceful and quiet yet only a short drive from locals towns with loads to do! We had everything we needed, the apartment is very well equipped (so grateful for the cot and high chair!) and spotlessly clean! Thank you to everyone involved :) we had a brilliant stay!
