Cottage holiday rentals in Silver Springs

My family was looking for a quiet weekend getaway and this lake house was the perfect place for us! The lake views from the living room were spectacular. The house was charming and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more! The peacocks roamed the yard throughout the day and were a pleasant sight to see. The dock was enjoyed by the whole family! We watched beautiful sunsets. My sons used the kayak. We fished for crappie and caught a few! We brought our small fishing boat and cruised around Lake Harris. We made our way to the famous Dora Canal. The boat launch is minutes away from the house. We walked to the delicious bakery a mile away for morning coffee and pastries. The host was so helpful and available to answer any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay at this charming and serene lake house!

Stephen was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and flexible as possible. He was proactive in letting us know that the check-in time was available sooner than listed. His keyless entry made it very easy to access his house and made it easy for all in my party to come and go as they pleased. His house was very clean and you could tell that as soon as you walked in the door. Everything worked well, his AC system provided arctic level cooling, his pool and hot tube was ready for use, his screened in game room was fun and actually stayed cool throughout the day, his outside gathering areas had plenty of seating, and his dock provided plenty of room to fish. This location on the canal was beautiful and easily accessible to St John's River. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone who wants a cool place to stay, relax and have fun. Christi kirk the owner was absolutely amazing!!!! You will feel right at home she has a amazing property and takes beautiful care of her homes. The house sets on a beautiful lake and has a hot tub out on the deck. We can not wait to come back and visit

The cabin was immaculate with everything we needed for our weekend stay. The renters were even kind enough to supply a crock pot at our request so we could enjoy the lake while the dinner cooked itself. There was an issue with the AC, which typically could ruin a weekend. Our hosts did a walk through prior to our arrival and found the problem and had if fixed before it could ever be an issue. Their communication with us was fantastic and they were a pleasure to work with. We would recommend them to anyone. We have stayed at this particular campground for several years and there are some full time residents that have been very unwelcoming. This is not a reflection on our hosts. Other host in the campground have also been very wonderful.

This place was spectacular. Sometimes with an air b and b experience, you hope the place is as pleasant as the pictures. This was such a wonderful surprise. Immediately it felt cozy and peaceful, surrounded by nature, wood and botanical details everywhere. But it surpassed that - Every detail of this place had been touched with diligent character, you immediately recognized the owners of this place genuinely cared down to the last morsel of decorations, plates, games and books. Nothing was forgotten. I HIGHLY recommend paying for the extra amenities which made our stay incredible; we booked an extra day just to relax and absorb the relaxation. It was one of the best parts of my trip to Orlando. I cannot speak highly enough about this place, I feel like we’ve found a rare gem in the business of air b and b’s. I cannot wait to book our next stay. This place made you fall in love with Orlando and treating yourself to a hidden oasis away from the modern rat race. INCREDIBLE!

Great place with all the added touches. Very relaxing and comfortable and quiet. We stayed just for a quick overnight and were able to walk to local brewery and also uber to a restaurant close by. Very thoughtful extras- including everything you may need. Would recommend if you are in the area.

The location was fantastic; when we got there, it even looked better in person. It had all the necessities and was a fairly roomy cabin/camper. A huge advantage was the patio and grill. We would definitely return; it's a nice pace for a quick getaway.

Marissa was a great host! Very responsive and welcoming! Her home was clean and so peaceful! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that is looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway!

Family of 5 (3 kids) and two dogs from VA. Felt the house was perfect with a great yard and cool trees. The dogs didn’t need leashed and could be at ease with pool access being safe. (My dogs can’t swim) The sheets were real cotton (this means a lot) and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of bedding and pillow options. Kitchen had the basics to cook meals which was easier. The house had everything we needed to have a great vacation other than food to eat. Close to everything we wanted to do. A great trail that was not a commercialized walk where we saw armadillos, manatees, an alligator, bald eagles, snakes and we could hear two owls talking. It was perfection. The swing out back was a nice peaceful touch and I really appreciated the grill. We saw crystal clear water at three sisters while kayaking as well as dolphins at sunset. We took a boat cruise to an island and found more shells I’ve seen in my life. I’d come back again and again. No hoopla where tons of people were.

clean and cozy place. quiet surroundings and plenty of room for your horses and dogs. stalls for your horses as well. you can have your live-in quarters here also. a hidden gem for sure!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming Airbnb in Mount Dora! The home looked exactly like the photos. It was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully decorated. It had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. One standout moment: the AC wasn’t working when I first arrived, but Talia, the host, responded immediately and had it fixed the same day. Her prompt attention and communication made all the difference and really showed how much she cares about her guests’ experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area. Great location, great host, and a great stay!

We are so happy we chose Dardens cabin as our spot to reset and relax. We work a lot and rarely get a chance to take time for ourselves and we were definitely due. My favorite part was being able to sit in the screened in patio, read a book and enjoy the beautiful nature outside while my boyfriend cooked on the grill. This place did exactly what we needed it to do and would definitely come back again.

The perfect place to stay if you want to get downtown away from the busy town, but also be close by. The property is dreamy!

We had a great time staying at Kenneth’s Airbnb. The home was just like the photos and description. The screened in patio in the back was one of our favorite places to hang. The backyard was big and our dogs loved it. It was so close to the beautiful Downtown Mt Dora area with food and shopping. Would definitely stay again!

Karla's place is very nice. Very clean, the screened in porch was so nice and there are sliding glass doors where you can see the beauty outside. The lake, dock and everything outside were so beautiful. The thing I loved the most is it is so quiet there. We live on a noisy road so this was heaven. We met Karla as we were leaving, and she is so nice. Directions to the cottage were perfect, check in was easy. Very nice place when you have a dog as we were traveling with our Yorkie. You will love Karla's place!

I booked Christine’s place for me and my friend to unplug from our busy lives for a couple of days. The beautiful lake, abundant wildlife, peaceful back porch and easy kayak launch were all we needed to recharge. We would love to visit again!

My friend and I stayed a couple nights at the Glass House so we could enjoy the nearby Rainbow Springs and Silver Springs. We felt right at home on the property and the home is cozy with a peaceful view. We sat each morning and evening on the back porch. Anabel is welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend for a nature getaway.

We in enjoyed the stay! This place was the best place I've stayed in Astor so far in my years of coming down here. Great location less 1 mile from the big bridge. Definitely will book again!

Nicole was an excellent host! I was spending time exploring new springs in the Ocala National Forest and wanted some place to stay close so I did not have to drive home and back the next day. Her home is very clean and I spent all my time there enjoying the lake, grilled steak and took the kayak out 3 separate times! The bed was so comfortable and would absolutely return here next time I want a two day Forrest adventure! I highly recommend her cottage to anyone visiting the area!

We loved the place!!! So so cute.. the beds were very comfy... house was super clean... Lauren was very easy to communicate with... and we walked to town in about 10 minutes or less... i would stay here again!!!!

It's the second time we stayed here and both times Linse's home was just what we needed to relax and spend some reflective time in nature. The first time my Mom had just passed away and believe it or not we got news of my father-in-law's passing during this trip. My wife especially likes all the personal touches Linse has made throughout the cabin. We were visiting our daughter at UF on both trips, but during this one she graduated! This is a special place. Big enough for two couple or a big family. I hope to be back yet again some day. Who knows? Maybe a grandkid will be a Gator too!

No surprises here—everything was as described in the listing. Well maintained and comfortable. It was a nice centralized location within easy walking distance of shops and the lake. We enjoyed our quick overnight stay, thanks!
