We stayed in Oak Cottage at Elms Farm Cottages and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Carol was a fantastic host - very communicative, flexible and helpful and the cottage was perfect - very comfortable and with excellent amenities - all the small things taken care of. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back one day.

We enjoyed a lovely two night stay in Lia's place in Letwell. The bedrooms were all decent sized and everyone slept well, and everything was of a high quality throughout the house. The garden was particularly spacious and we enjoyed seeing the wildlife and hearing the toads at night.

Check in was really simple and directions to find the place were spot on. Communication was excellent and we felt that we could contact the owners if we needed to. We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider stopping again if visiting the area in the future. The house smelt freshly cleaned when we arrived and was in a peaceful location. It was great to have a small selection of toiletries as well as coffee/tea provided - thank you. Bed linen and towels were clean and smelt lovely.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful cottage retreat. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed. The setting is beautifully private—perfect for escaping the noise. We were greeted with a welcome package including snacks, a bottle of fizz, and clear instructions. It instantly made us feel at home. One highlight was the Jacuzzi—incredible! It was spotless and ready to go, with soft towels provided. We appreciated the natural shower products, which made the experience feel more luxurious. Communication with the hosts was easy. We were given a direct line and they responded quickly to any questions. The overall vibe of the place was calm and rejuvenating, a true hidden gem. It’s only about a 15-minute drive to nice local shops and restaurants, so you're not far from anything. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about our return. Highly recommend this cozy escape—we’ll definitely be back someday.

Cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend with my daughter, was beautiful, homely, just so stunning surroundings. Information book had useful information of cottage and things to do in surrounding areas! Perfect location for our wellbeing day at the wellbeing barn, Belvoir castle & retail village easily reachable, not to mention amazing birthday evening meal at The Tap & Run. Looking fwd to returning soon.

We had a wonderful few days in Phillip’s cottage to do many walks with our dog, go geocaching, relax and read. It was the most restorative break for us all and from the moment we checked in everything was great. Phillip was really friendly and told us some of the history around the local properties. Super helpful & a great host. The property was spotless & had all we needed. The hot tub was fab after a days walking and the bed really comfortable. We loved just sitting and watching nature in the garden - so many birds and even one day we saw a wild rabbit. It felt quiet and very private. Highly recommend & hope we will be back!

This was our second year staying at the cottage. Like last time it was a wonderful holiday and we were sad to go. That Cottage feels like a second home to all of us. And we will be coming again next year. The property is beautiful and cosy. The surrounding area makes you feel so relaxed within nature. In the mornings we were able to see a barn owl on the garden fence. If you want somewhere to relax and unwind in the country I cannot recommend The Cottage enough.

fab weekend away in a lovely cottage with everything you need and more. Friendly hosts who were helpful with arranging our daytrip into Lincoln. Hot tub was great to relax in after a full day visiting Lincoln. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking distance to all attractions like Lincoln Castle( literally on the door step) Lincoln Cathedral and Steep Hill. Lovely pubs and restaurants very close to the cottage. A fantastic park just across the road if like us you are travelling with a dog, it’s perfect for morning walks! Be sure to check out the beautiful community gardens just off the park. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable! Was a lovely cottage and a lovely village. Didn’t get a chance to visit the tearoom as it was closed while we were there. Had a lovely meal at the local pub. We enjoyed our stay. Few little details in need of attention.

Absolutely perfect location. Beds and living space were very comfortable. As others have said-there are some steep stairs to bedrooms but we had no problems, just something to be aware of. Extra responsive and helped us book a taxi to the airport when my phone wouldn’t call out. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely week at Skendleby, the accommodation was well kept. It was also away from any busy roads, so it was a very quiet and restful place to stay. Would highly recommend and would be happy to have a return trip sometime in the future.

The cottage is a great place for two. It is on a quiet no through lane with safe parking. The kitchen is well equipped for both longer and short stays with a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine and a good assortment of cooking pots and utensils. The bedroom is a reasonable size with plenty of storage. The bed is comfortable and the linen is of a good quality. The bathroom is small but has a good shower, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail. Note: The stairs are exactly what is expected in a 200yr old cottage.... There is a small front garden with a table and chairs. Good to enjoy a meal if the weather permits. The local Cafe is great for breakfast or a light lunch. It is advisable to book, especially on weekends, as it is both popular and small Highly recommended accommodation in a quintessentially English village.

Beautiful house in gorgeous village surroundings. Dale and Helen’s place was impeccable and the whole experience was sublime. Communication was superb and no attention to detail was spared. Generous provisions were provided and one felt totally at home. There are not enough superlatives and would totally recommend and go back.

Andy’s place is sensational. Rutland is a hidden treasure, and his cottage is at its heart. Beautiful rooms, home and village. Pub moments away in a uniquely walkable setting. This is the Cotswolds but without the tourists. Fantastic host too, friendly and proactive. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Brandybuck Cottage - cosy and quirky describes it perfectly! A lovely peaceful location, tucked down the little lane - it was very relaxing to wake to the sound of birds singing in the morning. Mountsorrel is a perfect location to explore the surrounding areas - we managed to fit in a wander around the beautiful Bradgate Park, a trip to Stonehurst Farm, meal out at The Waterside Inn (kids loved the bouncy castle!), couple of drinks at Wilfred Pinsent & Grandson (conveniently located at the bottom of the lane!) and then caught the final day of the 1940s weekend at Quorn steam railway before we went home! Lucie’s cottage has everything you could need for a relaxing break away - it was clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and the wonderful addition of outside space with the terrace and secret garden! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there 😊

Jill’s cottage is gorgeous and was perfect for our getaway. Jill is a helpful host, gave good instructions and recommendations and was friendly at check in and out. The cottage was really comfortable and had everything that we needed for our stay. The touches of fresh flowers, cake and wine were lovely. We enjoyed looking at the book collection!

The cottage has been planned and presented with excellent attention to detail. The gardens are huge and so well maintained. The gardens have lots of little 'hidden places' and quirky details that add to the whole experience. We loved the location, as it's off the beaten track but, not at the end of a dreadful dirt track but, amidst lovely open fields and with well laid access. Don't expect a million shops or restaurants in walking distance but, nice pubs and food are short drives away. Local town about 20 mins easy drive. A perfect haven for two people looking for peace and quiet.

A brilliant place to stay for a small group, the place was spotless and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The location was also brilliant - it was lovely to wake up and see the church! Mark was also a great host and also booked us a parking spot in a nearby car park.

Our stay at Thor's Garden Homestead was excellent, this charming property offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The accommodation was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The spacious living areas provided ample room to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. The location is ideal for exploring the local area, with easy access to scenic walks and attractions. It served as the perfect base for our visits to Lincoln Cathedral and Castle, the International Bomber Command Centre, RAF Coningsby, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and the nearby coast—Skegness, Sandilands, Sutton on Sea, and Mablethorpe were all within reach. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful countryside retreat with great access to both culture and coast
