Cottage holiday rentals in Silicon Valley

This was our second stay here. Our daughter's family lives in the neighborhood and this is the perfect location for us to stay while visiting. It is quiet, comfortable and just what we need. The yard is very cute and we love to look at the animals with our grandchildren. We lucked out and saw the planets aligned from the driveway on the 25th, as it is dark enough to view the stars without city lights. Don and Lori are great hosts- there are treats and fresh eggs in the fridge, and everything we needed was right there. We will be back.

Really hard to describe how wonderful the whole back yard is. Sunset here were amazing. All kinds of wildlife. The smell of the California hills in springtime always refreshes. Dogs loved it (and couldn't quite believe it). We swung on the swing, sat in the gazebo, enjoyed basking in the balcony views.

Bolinas is a special, unique, off-beat slice of heaven. Same with Charle’s cottage. If you love authentic coastal vibes, then do yourself a favor and stay here if you can. It’s the real, real. Well loved and well worn cottage that works like a charm. Hot tub, walk to beach or the Mesa, or town. Little deck to enjoy the ocean view. Artistic and quirky house. I loved it! You have to duck a lot, but it’s super cool. <5min walk to beach or downtown.

Mara is a great host, charming and thorough.........a great combination for us! Her detailed instructions and "hands-off" thereafter approach was perfect for us. The unit was just the right size for us and had everything we needed for our week plus stay. We hope to visit and stay again in the future as the location is perfect for us.

We loved staying at the Dipsea Cottage. It’s a beautiful, calming, and comfortable space. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, restaurants, playground, and shops. We look forward to coming back here again!

We felt right at home; simply and amply appointed. It was surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom and easily accommodated four adults. The outdoor garden space was perfect for evening and morning relaxation. The sign of a GREAT host is how they handle an accidental (major) breakage. As guests, we were mortified. Diana was absolutely gracious. Thank you for your understanding, Diana.

Stayed for the first time in Pescadero with the family. Steve's place was perfect - great location, well equipped, lots of space. Loved the views and accessibility to it all. Thanks, Steve, for sharing your wonderful place with us.

Gem of a beachhouse, on a quiet street, just a short walk from the beach. Clean, tastefully decorated cabin and loved the peaceful back garden and front patio to enjoy the sun as well.

Liza's place was wonderful! I would happily book a stay at Rickett's retreat again. The location is ideal, and the place itself is lovely, and it is well represented by the listing. Liza's communications from booking to checkout were detailed, timely, and friendly. Would highly recommend a stay here!

It was a joy to retreat to this cottage after a very busy work event. Definitely worthy of its 5 star rating. The combo of the hilltop location and beautiful garden vegetation made for a quiet, beautiful, and serene experience. Highlights included reading outside in the yard, hiking without needing to drive, seeing hummingbirds, a comfy desk for letter writing, great indoor lighting for reading, a well equip kitchen, great local recommendations, and Minie being such a responsive host. We also enjoyed a nearby AirBnB Experience: Dye a scarf with California plants with Auli in case that sounds interesting to you too.

A magical sanctuary! We loved every minute of our stay and the only negative part was that we had to leave. The location is epic- walk anywhere, restaurants, beach, UCSC, downtown, coffee shops. The hot tub is totally private and the place has a very homey feel. The lot is beautiful. Would stay here again.

Great find! This home has so much to offer and perfect for families…we didn’t even turn on the TV. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Games, blocks, exercise mats, books, fire pit, etc. Located between Felton & Boulder Creek, plenty of good food and grocery near by. Quiet and private, but still close to everything. Tamara was very responsive and accommodating. We hope to stay again.

I literally couldn’t have asked for more. They were so responsive and helpful with anything we may need. I stayed here for a month for surgery and didn’t want to leave when the month was over. The tiny house was clean and exactly what I wanted and needed for my recovery. Close to everything I needed and wanted to get to. All the light and fresh air you can ask for. Recommendations for food and stores. Visits from their amazing dog!! I wouldn’t change a thing! What an amazing host, family, city, and tiny home. I will definitely be back.

This spot is exactly why I love using Airbnb. The house is perfectly suited for two folks, nestled in a very well manicured backyard full of life. Tina & Lucky are wonderful. We loved meeting their lovely dog who searched around for intruders. If I’m ever back in Oakland I’ll be sure to stay here again.

My husband and I had a great time in Mill Valley. We were amazed at the location of this adorable cottage. It is walking distance to the library and to downtown MV, which had everything we could possibly need/want. Such an incredible community. Our host was helpful when we had questions and answered promptly. The cottage was cute, clean and cozy. Overall we loved our stay and would love to come back again someday!

This is a great place to stay in the bay! This reminds me of how are bnb was before it became really corporate. Her space was really charming and there were a lot of extras like food and blankets.

This was our second long-term stay (each stay being several weeks) at the Sunset Serene Cottage and we will definitely be coming back for more. Consider this as your home away from home. The location and the view cannot be beat. The house is perfect for us as a couple - bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom have everything you need for a relaxing and convenient stay. It’s surrounded by so much nature, and it was wonderful to have a busy day and then come home to this oasis. Neighborhood is also very safe and we took many walks to enjoy the view of the Bay. We had a great stay! Communication with Marcy was super easy, she always responded quickly and helpfully. The location is absolutely the best in Walnut Creek: a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet very central with everything within walking distance. The guest house is lovely, clean, fresh, and nicely secluded on the property. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed. Highly recommended

Another great stay in this amazing cottage in Noe Valley! This is the place to truly relax and have time for yourself in between your busy SF travels! You are in the best neighborhood that is within walking distance to all Noe Valley and the Mission have to offer! Sebastian and his family have made an amazing space!
