Treehouse holiday rentals in Sigiriya

We really loved to stay here! Very nice people and the host can arrange everything you need. Delicious food and if you want to go on excursion I recommend you book it via the hideout. The tuk tuk driver and the jeep Safari driver they arranged for us were very friendly, helpful and had good knowledge.

My husband, my two children and I slept in a tree house with no walls in the middle of the jungle. It was our first stay in Sri Lanka and an amazing, unforgettable experience. The staff was very friendly. We loved everything. Thank you for hosting us.

Ajith and wife are amazing hosts. They looked after us and they even provided us with plug adapter ... something that other hotels, even more luxurious, didn't do fir us. Fantastic breakfast and dinner. Ajith kindly booked for us the safari excursion to Kaudulla Park and a car with driver for our transfer to Kandi. Their tree houses are very clean. The location in the middle of the jungle, with the beautiful sounds of birds around us was total heaven! We just wish we stayed longer!

We love the place. We had the welcome drink and food, the omelet was so good. Stuff are really nice. The tree house is so special!!!

We had a really great time at the treehouse. It's a beautiful spot, surrounded by nature, with an unbeatable view of Lion's Rock. Falling asleep to a chorus of cicadas was very special, even with the odd peacock landing on the roof! Very clean, and well maintained, including the pool. Slightly strange smelling bathroom feels like a small price to pay for a hot shower in a tree! Balcony and the pool are both great spots to relax. Restaurant is fine, but don't expect anything too fancy. Host is more wonderful than heart emojis can express. We had a minor health crisis on the first day, and she and the staff could not have been more helpful. The manager also negotiated a good deal for local transfers, which we really appreciated.

Odsjeli smo u kućici na drvetu, bilo je sve odlično. Super smještaj u prirodi, dosta se čuju ptice i majmuni skaču po krovu i dolaze na terasu. Nama je to bilo okej. Doručak odličan, preporuka za barbecue dinner. Domaćin nam je organizirao safari i bilo je izvrsno i cjenovno pristupačno. Bazen je predivan i super nam je došao nakon obilaska da se osvježimo. Lokacija je odlična, Sigiriya je blizu, Polonnaruwa sat vremena udaljena, u mjestu ima slonova koji šeću uz cestu. Nama se jako svidjelo!

Asela’s treehouse is a wonderful place. It has been built with lots of attention to detail and is very well maintained & comfortable. The area where it is located is quiet, with lots of nature and wildlife around, but at the same time it is close to some shops, restaurants and lots of things to do. Asela and his uncle are lovely people. We have the enjoyed breakfast and dinner which they offered to us. They are the most friendly and helpful people and took such good care of us. Asela helped to arrange transportation from the airport in a car as well as toured with us to many places in the area with his own Tuk Tuk.

Linton is a great host. He has built the property himself with lots of love. we loved the undisturbed natural surroundings of the property. The tree top open rooms were unique, Sleeping with the jungle noises is a experience not to be missed. Linton was very helpful with our food choices. Since we are pure vegetarian and do not eat meat, fish or eggs, and do not prefer eating in mixed kitchens, Linton was super helpful and agreed to cook a pure veg breakfast for us using our own pan.

schöne Unterkunft mit einem riesigen Garten und eigenem Balkon. Zimmer hatte auch eine Klimaanlage. Die Lage war etwas außerhalb, Supermarkt und Restaurants waren aber zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir haben auch Empfehlungen bekommen was wir für Sehenswürdigkeiten anschauen könnten. Es hätte sogar die Möglichkeit bestanden, dass direkt Touren gebucht werden mit Abholung in der Unterkunft, auch können direkt Tuktuks organisiert werden, jedoch sind diese teurer als wenn man selber zur Straße vor geht. Wegen einer Doppelbuchung müssten wir unser Zimmer 1 Tag früher verlassen, jedoch wurde sich um eine Alternative im Ort gekümmert und wir haben das Frühstück gratis bekommen. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt dort.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits chez Maulie et avons tout adoré Notre logement était situé à l'étage d'un bungalow qui abrite une seconde chambre. Comme décrit dans l'annonce, la chambre est ouverte sur la nature ce qui permet d'etre bercé par les bruits de la jungle. Il y a donc évidement quelques insectes et grenouilles qui s'invitent notamment dans la salle de bain mais la colocation est tres simple. Le lit est confortable, tout est propre, la moustiquaire est très utile. Les petits déjeuners servis sont délicieux et généreux. Il est possible de dinner sur place, ce que nous avons fait chaque soir. Nous avions loué une voiture et la localisation de ce logement était parfaite et pratique selon nous car il y a énormément de lieux à visiter dans les alentours. Darshi, Maulie et le reste de l'équipe sont adorables. Nous avons bénéficié des bon conseils de Darshi pour affiner notre programme. Ce fut un réel plaisir et nous recommandons cette expérience

Shan and the homestay caretakers were very warm and welcoming. The stay was very scenic and beautiful. It’s very close to the Sigiriya Lion Rock as well.

You’ll be in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of birds, geckos and monkeys. At night, fireflies will come to your room. It was magical. Five rescue dogs will keep you safe and insist on cuddles when you arrive. 40 mins away from Sigiriya, but Maulie will help you arrange transport even in the middle of the night to go for sunrise hikes. Thank you so much for this lovely, authentic experience. Oh, and the food served is just amazing!

We loved staying here. It was really back of beyond. Surrounded by really beautiful countryside it was a really relaxing stay. The staff looked after us really well, and were so helpful, and the food was fantastic. Just the place to stay if you want to get away and escape to the countryside.

What can I say. Amazing 😁. This was the perfect place to spend the final couple of days of our holiday. The tree house was incredible and managed to be comfortable despite being open to the jungle. We were a bit concerned beforehand about the lack of aircon, as well as insects, but neither proved to be a problem and it was so atmospheric waking up to the sounds of the jungle all around. Breakfast and dinners were great, served promptly with friendly service. Be mindful to bring your own beers, etc with you if you want as alcohol is not available on site and it’s a bit of a trek back into the town. We were able to walk up Pidurangala Rock when we arrived to see the sunset - a really fun scramble up some rocks at the end for a magical experience at the top. We would highly recommend this place.

The location is beautiful, you fall asleep to the sounds of the forest. If you are looking for peace and relaxation this is the place to go. Very easy to explore Dambulla, Sigiriya and the national parks (elephants) from. The food is the best we have had in Sri Lanka. We wish we could have stayed longer it was that amazing! Maulie and Darshi are very knowledgeable about the forest and wildlife, so there is much to learn if you are open to it!

We had a very memorable stay. the settings are absolutely beautiful, and the accommodation allows you to feel a part of the surrounding nature, with it's design and attention to detail. We fell asleep watching fireflies from the window and woke up watching monkeys. Maulie made us feel right at home, along with the rest of the team serving incredible authentic Sri Lankan food, some of the best from our whole trip. the perfect place to stay for nature lovers, and close enough to easily take trips to sirigiya and other nearby attractions! we hope to return next time in Sri Lanka! many thanks Rory
