Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Shinjuku Station

The air bath was excellent. There’s nothing quite like bathing and showering in nature warmly and sanitarily. The house is creatively designed, using every nook well. I enjoyed experiencing natural light from unexpected places. It’s quite the contrast to Shibuya, which we wanted so we could sleep well. Yet, it is still surrounded by cool cultural and spiritual things from shops to food to Shinto shrines and sanctuaries. I would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at this house. It gave the four of us plenty of room and the kids liked the interesting playroom on the first floor. Large parking spot for Tokyo, which we did not utilize but looked nice. Communication was great and clear pictures from Shibuya station was very helpful. It was convenient to have Life market, such a short distance away. Shibuya station was perfect location to start our daily tour of the city. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Great communication throughout. Was even given good restaurant recommendations. Air-conditioning worked very well. Generally nice hosts. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Tokyo, and wants extra amenities and space.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It’s close to public transport, convenience stores, and many restaurants, especially Korean. It is a 3 storey apartment so could be a problem for people with disabilities or large luggage, but it was a big apartment for Tokyo standards.

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Chie is very friendly and her place is in a great location—ideal for two. A more local neighborhood, not filled with tourists, so perfect if that’s what you’re looking for.

We visited Tokyo as a family of five—two parents and three energetic kids in elementary school—and this place was just perfect for us! After long days of sightseeing, being able to relax and watch Netflix on the big-screen TV was a real lifesaver for us parents. It gave us a quiet moment to recharge while the kids were winding down. The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and full of brand-new amenities. My wife, who has long hair, was absolutely thrilled to find a Dyson hairdryer—it dried her hair quickly and beautifully after a long day out. Those thoughtful touches really make all the difference! It’s about a 15-minute walk to Harajuku Station, but honestly, with so many fun shops and cool sights along the way, the walk felt more like an adventure than a chore. The nearby supermarket was open until 11 PM, which made it super easy to grab breakfast for the next morning or late-night snacks. Highly recommend!

We loved coming back here every night after long days of exploring Tokyo, felt very comfortable and at home at Hanako’s😊 The apartment had everything we needed and a good location- what topped it off was the beautiful host who was very responsive and gave us plenty of great recommendations during our stay 😊 Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay at Satoru's apartment. Everything was very nice and clean. Satoru was very thoughtful and provided an excellent description how to reach the apartment from the train station. Even with step by step pictures, so you really can't get lost. He even left us an umbrella for the rainy days. The apartment is very cute and gives your stay a traditional Japanese style. Everything was very welcoming and well stocked. He really thought of everything! 10/10 would book again!

Great place to stay! Stylish, clean, comfortable and well located. Everything in the apartment was so well organized, with detailed usage instructions! Beds were comfortable, and we loved the rooftop patio. Location was perfect for getting around the city on the subway. Host was responsive, provided clear check-in instructions, and everything went perfectly smoothly! Would stay again.

Had a great day, close to lots of stores and restaurants. Also the station was close by. We was able to leave luggages after check out in the lockers provided. Very helpful.

Rie’s apartment is at a very golden location, with only 5 min walk to a metro station. And the station has very convenient elevators just at the street corner from the apartment. We had a lovely 3-day stay there and enjoyed very much. Thanks Rie for the warm host! Recommend.

The apartment was much bigger than I thought for being in Tokyo! There is definitely no issue opening suitcases like other Airbnb. The apartment is clean and about 12 minutes walk from Shinjuku station:

Great stay! Very clean rooms very private and safe. A small park next door is a great way to start the morning or wind down after a long day. Next to Koreatown so easy access to a fun area. Very central to many train stations making the entire city accessible as well. Liked it so much I extended my stay with the host who was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again if I can.

My husband and I, along with our 9 year old son, traveled to Japan for the first time and had the best stay at Andy’s inn. He was very responsive, the place was not huge but was big enough to fit our needs. The beds were comfortable, clean, there was heating and air conditioning, microwave and fridge. There is a washer but no dryer, which wasn’t a problem bc we just hung our clothes outside the patio to dry. The train station and 7-11 is only a couple minutes away. We walked to Shinjuku within 20 minutes. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay near the action but still have peace and quiet!

Host was very responsive, and listing matched descriptions and pictures in the listing. The unit is 3 min walk from train station, which is really convenient. Host explained how to use all appliances. Quick response from host whenever we ask any questions. Would highly recommend this place!!

Beihoa's place was fantastic. The location is close to the Yamanote line, but not so close that it is noisy or crowded. There are lots of places to eat, grocery stores and 7-11s(3) in the neighborhood. We also found a Don Quiote near by...which we went to at 2 am thanks to jet lag. Beihao was very quick to respond and offered suggestions if we needed help. The Yamanote line is very easy to navigate and I strongly suggest a Pasmo or Suica card. The condo is located very close to Shinjuku and Shibuya...super fun places to visit. The condo is clean, full of light and big by Japanese standards. I would definitely return here!! Thank you Beihoa for helping to make our visit amazing!!! My son and I fell in love with Japan!❤️

Our stay at Maple's place was really great! The apartment was as shown in the pictures , very spacious and the beds super comfortable . Maple prepared everything great for us and was always quick to help when we had questions. Everything was taken care of in the apartment and simply explained .(e.g. how the washing machine works) We had a lot of shopping , were super fast everywhere by train , but also on foot to good spots. We really liked Maple's neighborhood / place and it was totally quiet , despite this proximity to the city . We will definitely be back. Thx 😊

I was very satisfied. Jiao always responded immediately and was very helpful and extremely friendly. The accommodation is cozy 10 minutes from Komagome Station, which is on the Yamamoto Line (small note: the Tokyo day pass does not apply to this line). This means that you could reach all the main attractions in a timely manner and were always back at the accommodation quite quickly. The accommodation was quite large by Japanese standards and offered a washing machine and dryer, which I benefited from a lot. There was a Family Mart right outside the door and a 7-Eleven on the way to the train station. I'd definitely stay again.
