Apartment holiday rentals in Shawlands

This is a gem of an Airbnb, which suited us down to the ground not only because it was close to family but on account of its relative seclusion (despite which, the centre of Glasgow is within easy reach). It's an amazingly peaceful property to the rear of and beneath the hosts' home, opening out onto a garden that resembles a small nature reserve: it is truly lovely. The hosts themselves kind, considerate and responsive. All in all, no guest could ask for more. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer and we recommend this property wholeheartedly.

The hosting family were so welcoming and helpful, greeted us on arrival even though there was a key box, helpful with taxis, there was even a baby towel & shampoo as we had a 7month old. We were absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. Thank you!!

The hosts were flexible and friendly regarding our arrival time. The place was beautiful and clean, and had everything we needed. They even left us some dairy-free groceries, and gave us some restaurant recommendations for our 40th wedding anniversary dinner. Excellent experience!

This is a beautiful flat set within close proximity to all the great amenities of Glasgow's West End. Ross is a fantastic host, who goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Shannon is an amazing host. We had a very flexible check in, where the flat was in a pristine condition. The amenities were even better than what we expected, and we got lots of lovely recommendations from our lovely host. Shannon was always very easy to reach and really friendly. Our check out was also super easy!

We stayed with our 1 and 3 year old kids and had a fantastic time! The photos don’t even do the space justice - it’s stunning! So spacious and comfortable. And Kym gave us some great recommendations. Would happily stay again!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Stuart’s Airbnb in Balloch, Loch Lomond! The place was comfortable and had everything we needed — a real home away from home. It’s in a perfect location, just a short walk from the loch, restaurants, and local shops. A superb base to explore the stunning surrounding area. Stuart was a brilliant host — friendly, responsive, and helpful. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Anne’s place! The accommodation was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was perfect. The flat was very clean, organized, and a 10 minute walk from the train station and Aldi. Balloch is a 30 minute walk where there is a park and restaurants. Ronnie was responsive and clear in his instructions.

A wonderful stay. I was there for work at the University of Glasgow, and it's just a five minute walk from the flat. The area is very quiet and I slept like a baby (unusual for Glasgow because in other parts of the city, they're partying until 4 am.) It's right next to a subway station so getting around is super convenient. Should I ever return, I'll certainly check for this unit's availability. Thanks to Charlotte and Roddy for their expedient responses to my inquiries.

We were here to catch up with family, but also had a great time exploring. Kilmacolm and the surrounding area has so much more than we expected. We visited Kilmataj and The Cork and Keg - both highly recommended. The accommodation itself is definitely a “Cosy Retreat” with everything you need for a short break.

Really great place. Very quiet and peaceful. The place was spotless on arrival, with basics (tea, coffee and cookery basics) provided. Plenty of towels. Comfortable beds. 15-20 walk to the very centre of town. Clear and very responsive communications with Sid!

We had a wonderful stay at Callum’s place. It was clean, conveniently located and had pretty much everything we needed. Callum even provided a few snacks and drinks for us upon our arrival. It was the perfect home away from home for our 6 week stay in Scotland and we will certainly be staying with Callum again when we’re back on the area. 10/10 stay and host. Superb place to stay. The location is excellent, set just off Byres Road, which has lots of lovely restaurants, bars, shops, etc.. Because it is on a side street, it is still nice and quiet, despite being so close. Easy check in, and a perfectly clean place. There were lots of nice touches (milk and oatmilk in the fridge, coffee pods, hair dryer) which really elevated our stay. I have nothing bad to say whatsoever. David is a perfect host. He is extremely responsive, and very friendly. He checked in with us during our stay to make sure there was nothing we needed. All in all, excellent place, will stay there again if I'm every in Glasgow.

We enjoyed our stay in this flat. Plenty of space to spread out and well located near restaurants and sightseeing. The videos provided on how to access and used appliances were incredibly helpful. I wish all owners would do the same. If we return to Glasgow I would stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends.

We had a wonderful stay at Kayt & David’s place! It was absolutely spotless and so well stocked with anything and everything we could have needed for the weekend, including some really thoughtful touches like croissants, milk and the famous Tunnocks tea cakes! The views over the garden and hills were gorgeous. It was so easy to find and access when we arrived, parking was available right outside on the street and there is a cute pub with some great food right across the street. The bathroom and kitchen were in fantastic condition and supplied with everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay. There were lots of instructions around the place so we were never stuck working out what to do with appliances etc. We had a brilliant time and hope to return one day!

We stayed at Greg’s place for two days and had a great time. Everything was exactly as described and had all that we needed. We would have happily stayed for longer and have no hesitation recommending for a stay in Glasgow!
