Beachfront holiday rentals in Shaldon

Cute sea side themed cottage with views of the Ley and all the birds to the front and the prom and beach 20 feet from the back gate. Stunning coast line, great walks, good food nearby and only 20 minutes from Kingsbridge and 30.from Salcombe. Basic holiday kitchen, cosy comfy front room, large main bedroom and adequate 2nd with partial view of the sea. Parking permit for right opposite very convenient for us and the dogs. We had a super week, thanks Eva and Richard.

We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

We've stayed at Beer Head in the past, but this was by the fair the loveliest place we've had the pleasure of staying in. The location, right at the top of the park, is second to none. So peaceful and the walk up the hill is worth it for the stunning views. The caravan was as described and you can tell it's a loved family home. Everything we needed and more, with additional fleece blankets for chillier evenings and comfy bed. Becky sent clear instructions if you're not familiar with the park. Fantastic walks from the caravan, you needn't take your car out if you don't want to. Branscombe and Seaton were our go to for daily walks and we drove further (25 mins) to Lyme Regis (but get there early for parking in Summer months). We've already decided we want to return next Summer if possible. Thankyou Becky for a wonderful stay xx

Another lovely stay at Palmdene. This place really is home from home and so comfortable. Love being able to stare out to see from both the kitchen and the living room. Everything we need is there. Great place for going onto Paignton beach (approx 10 mins) or go over the top and head to Goodrington beach, it will take a bit longer but the views are stunning. Booking again very soon.

We had a great two night stay here. The beds were comfortable and clean. The house is immaculate. There is a space in the yard to relax. Nice Living room area to watch some TV. Kitchen has all the amenities you need. The area is so beautiful with lots to see. Some great restaurants and local pubs. The Ship has always been a favorite of mine and it has beautiful views of the back beach. Emily is responsive and helpful.

Lovely place to stay, really clean and decorated nicely. Close to a lot of things to do and see, we really enjoyed staying here! :)

This accommodation was perfect for our weekend visit. Delightful little place which had all the essentials for our stay. Very comfortable beds, cosy living room and a small courtyard space to enjoy the sunshine in private. The property is right in the centre of town so was walking distance from everywhere we wanted to be. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Devon!

Pete's place was very relaxing. The property is very comfortable and has everything you need.. The attention to detail is amazing with very comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Loved the outdoor space which we enjoyed most days. We will book again when in the area.

We stayed in the caravan at south bay in brixham and it was beautiful. The view was stunning, the caravan itself was spotless. Kitchen was full of all that you need to cook for yourself and it was nice to have a large fridge freezer for all of the food and drinks. Pam was lovely from the start to the end. Very responsive to messages. would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit torbay to stay here, and I would be looking to stay again with my family.

100% recommend staying here. Mark has covered absolutely everything you could wish to have. All the latest appliances, every TV option to watch.. place was absolutely spotless which is very rare in my experience staying in other rentals.. Our old dog was happy here. Place was warm, lovely bedding and towels. very close to some stunning walks, Brixham harbour is gorgeous! We would love to stay again. Mark communicated well . Fantastic host 10/10

Nicki’s apartment at Bigbury on Sea is just great. Well equipped, amazing views and in a beautiful part of Devon. Use of the indoor pool is amazing for kids, especially when the weather is a bit mixed! Nicki gave lots of info and recommendations which were super helpful. I hope to be back at Bigbury soon!

Emily has a lovely caravan in a quiet spot on an otherwise busy site. The caravan felt surprisingly spacious and it was great to have that second toilet available. It was also lovely and very convenient to have the shower. The site offers a lot for families with several play areas, crazy golf and swimming pools.

A wonderful caravan. Good spot high up with a stunning view of the sea and landscape but still close down to the beach. Family all loved it. Comfortable, clean and excellent quality with everything we needed. Also adored the sitting out the front terrace bit watching the sunset. We went for fossil hunting and it’s an easy drive to Lyme Regis and other Jurassic spots with nearby big shops in Exmouth. There’s also a great restaurant/bar on the sea side bit and a centre with extra bits in the holiday park. Definitely a place we’d consider going back to.

We spent 5 days here with our 3 children. The place was spotless, had everything we needed. Really warm and homely. The grounds of Osbourne are gorgeous, we loved the park and swimming pool. Lots of places to visit, a nice walk into town (although a little hilly so wear suitable shoes)

This is the second year we’ve stayed here and we can’t wait to visit again. The apartment is a perfect visiting the surrounding towns and beaches. South Milton beach is literally on your doorstep with great access to the south west coastal path. The outdoor heated pool was lovely for days when the sea was just a little bit too cold and the balconies were ideal for the amazing sunsets.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful long weekend, perfect dog walks along the beach and ice creams and pub dinners with beach views. Apartment was fantastic.

We have stayed in many Airbnb but this is by far the best property we have ever come accross, beautiful views, perfect location, property has every item you could ever need or more. As a multigenerational family holidaying, it was perfect for all our party which ranged in ages from 16 to 82. Absolutely perfect a dream location... Absolutely blessed to have been able to spend quality time with our loved ones in such a stunning location.

My parents really loved Haidee’s place, it was warm & welcoming. Location to the seafront and town was perfect. They said the beds were really comfy and they enjoyed their stay. Would recommend and will be in the list to return another time. Thank you.

We’re a young family of 6 and stayed for 4 nights during the Summer half-term holiday. The apartment is spacious, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. It is very well located next to South Sands beach and adjacent to the Harbour Beach hotel. It was great to be able to make use of the pool & spa in the hotel. We all had a great time, and this apartment will definitely be on our shortlist for our next trip to Salcombe!

Beryl’s cottage is an absolute gem. Spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and thoughtfully furnished, it made for one of the most comfortable stays we’ve had. The bed was exceptionally comfortable — we slept like logs — and the towels were luxuriously soft, a lovely touch that didn’t go unnoticed. The heating worked instantly and kept the whole place warm and cosy, even on cooler evenings. One of our favourite moments was sitting outside with a glass of wine, taking in the stunning beach view — truly peaceful and relaxing. We had zero issues throughout our stay, and it was a pleasure to meet Beryl herself — such a kind and welcoming host. If we had to mention one small suggestion, it would be the lounge chairs — they were a little on the firm side, and a two-seater sofa might make the space even more comfortable for relaxing indoors. That said, this didn’t take away from a fantastic experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, beachside escape.

York House, attached to the royal York hotel, is a stunning setting to either relax and unwind in Sidmouth or explore the Devonshire coast. We stayed over New year for a week, and what a break. So relaxing. The house was comfortable, homely and perfect for four adults and two children. you can hear noise from neighbouring places, which didn't bother us but on the first night did worry us as could hear footsteps. don't be alarmed it's just upstairs! Amenities both in the house and I'm local area are perfect. lovely bathrooms and showers. televisions smart with all streaming options could need! would definitely love to stay again and would recommend to everyone. Lastly, the view, undisturbed, perfect sea view, watching the sun rise and sun set, the sound of waves whilst drifting to sleep was idyllic!!

Lovely place, no issues. The only thing is the outdoor heated swimming pool is not open to apartment guests - we got confused as it was shown in the photos (only indoor pool and the tennis court for a small fee). The apartment and surrounding area was amazing- 5 stars all the way.

What a lovely welcoming fella. So helpful and quick to respond on any enquiry. Everything was home from home and they had thought of everything we could need throughout a short or long stay. Even fresh flowers in the kitchen and lounge. Milk in the fridge with a bottle of bubbly too. Tea and coffee to hand after a long journey. Clean and modernly decorated. Comfy beds and quality bed linen used. Toiletries provided - incase you couldn’t bring your own. Shower was powerful and spotless. Location, was perfect. Didn’t need to use the car, once parked on the driveway as the bus service was great. Child and dog friendly. So, much to see and do if you choose and/or just chill out inbetween. Great choice of accommodation and will definitely return again
