We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

This was the best Airbnb we've stayed at. Lovely village with restaurants, a bakery and markets for most of what you'd need. On arrival the house had been generously stocked with more than we expected. Argiro and her family were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend Iro House. Thanks so much Argiro, we will be back!

The home was so peaceful, quiet, and super close to Knossos. We appreciated being able to walk over right when it opened to beat the crowds. We had a fantastic stay in Michalis's lovely corner suite. It was cozy, unique, and had everything we needed, plus nice extras like a washer, a second bathroom and street parking (just do an extra lap around the block). The location was ideal, with traditional windows opening to a garden and ruins, and it was a short walk to everything while being away from the Old City crowds. Michalis was an amazing host—very responsive, provided great local tips, and even took time to offer us coffee and chat. He’s definitely one of the best hosts I've ever met. I highly recommend this place and a stay with Michalis!!

If you wish to experience a secluded garden by a non-travelled beach, almost like your own access to the sea, that is the place. A very good taverna is few meters away. Nothing best to let stress, driving, movida and consumerism behind one's shoulders for some days. Dimitri and his family have created a heaven of peace and a beautiful garden. The holiday-house from their parents is still decorated like in the 80s, but all the essentials are there. The generous welcoming, with a large basket of fruit, olive oil and salad from the herb garden, complete the feeling of coming home. Efkaristò! Many thanks! Rossella

We had a wonderful two-day stay in this amazing place. Excellent location of the villa as it combines the privacy, tranquility and picturesqueness of the village of Melidoni! I would choose it again and again as it was a spotless space, well-kept and the host was friendly and informative in everything we needed. 👏

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth and Lily's place is absolutely gorgeous. The house was impecable. Super clean. Very spacious, lots of bright light, and also has automatic dark shades. Towels were super comfortable, you get both shower and beach towels. We had a welcome basket with bread, jam, honey, there was fruit and water bottles in the fridge. Super attentive host. The house is probably the best one in the complex. Excellent view of the ocean, you can see some magnificent sunsets right from the balcony. There is also a terrace where you can have breakfast/coffee. The pool is super close, clean and gated with a keypad. Very secure area. Absolutely loved it. I wish I was there still. Will definitely go back and highly recommend it to everyone!

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

Can’t say enough positive things about Anna and Costa’s villa. We had an amazing stay. The villa was clean, spacious and in excellent condition - just like the photos. The pool was fab. Anna & Costa’s local recommendations were great. The whole family enjoyed the trip - thank you so much!

Alexia and her family were beautiful hosts. The house is set in the tranquil mountains of rethymno with beautiful views. The trip to Rethymno is a 8-10 minute drive and Rethymno is a beautiful town. Alexia communicated exceptionally well and even arranged us a taxi to the airport. Alexia's parents greeted us with some greek delicacies upon arrival which was a lovely touch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A dream vacation with friends – DejaView in Crete is a real gem! We were able to spend some unforgettable days in the holiday home DejaView – and it was simply fantastic! The house itself is modern, stylish and equipped with everything you could wish for. The spacious pool and the breathtaking view of the Cretan landscape all the way to the sea inspired us every day. But what really makes this place special is the host. From the first moment, he was incredibly warm, helpful and attentive - after a very short time, it felt as if we had found a friend on site. Whether tips for excursions, restaurant recommendations or just a nice conversation - he was always there for us and made our stay something very special. DejaView is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy and feel good. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderfull moment at Kosta’s place! He was very réactive when we needed him and the house is lovely. By car you are very close to the center of Adele (3 min) and rethymnon (10 min). A lot of good restaurants in the area, which where recommended by Kostas. We will definitely come back :)

We had a great and relaxing stay. Narges is an accommodating, friendly and reliable hostess. She was always available and supportive. The apartment is well equipped - with attention to detail. The entire complex is beautiful and the large pool is an absolute highlight. We will be happy to come back.

The villa was clean and comfortable and well equipped with shops in walking distance. The hosts were in touch regularly and helped with car hire and arranging transfers. The villa and pool were cleaned during our stay. We had a wonderful and relaxing break and particularly enjoyed being so close to the sea.

Maria’s place is a wonderful small apt in a private and quiet next to the sea village, less than 20 minutes outside Rethymno city. For couples or friends that need their privacy and quiet, this is an ideal place. There is a small beach at the end of the private road the apt is on. The place is very clean and Maria is a perfect hostess. Caring about your staying from day one to the moment you leave!!!

We spent the most lovely time at Nikos place with our baby and friends. The villa is located directly by the sea with a spectacular view. We enjoyed really enjoyed our breakfasts watching the waves and listening to the ocean so much. The place is very quiet and private. Nikos is the most welcoming host and gave us great directions for the island. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thank you so much for having us.

May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small restriction: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit scattered (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

Simply stunning apartment, glorious views and easy access to the little village of Kalyves. We spent most days by the pool and evenings eating at the many restaurants by the beach. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped, the views from the living room are stunning. Eleni is an attentive and very responsive host who looked after us extremely well. We will be back very soon!

Hosted by the generous Chris who introduced us to the accommodation, points of interest and good places in the area. The house is very clean, spacious with its two terraces, very well equipped (especially for our baby, everything was available, chair, bed,...), and small gifts were waiting for us in the fridge! The pool and paddling pool are nice, there were few people in the residence during our stay, so the place was quiet and relaxing. Thanks again to Chris for his hospitality!
