Newly built in 2025!A healing space surrounded by the fragrance of wood, an inn where you can enjoy "Naoshima Time" to the fullest (up to 5 people)

Very thoughtfully designed and prepared space. Very comfortable and nice to experience some tatami space as well. Very clean. Top notch appliances including very good washer and dryer which is always so welcome for travelers. Easy and prompt communication, guess it could be a little hard to find but google map found it fine. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

The room was beautiful, and the rooftop space was fun.Next, I want to enjoy it on a sunny day. I wish there had been a note that there was no toothbrush as an amenity, and it was a little disappointing that there were drinks in the refrigerator that seemed to be from the previous guest.Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

Auberge Yugashira

HazelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Auberge Yugashira is on the edge of the forested mountain side overlooking the sea, Munakata village and citrus trees. A charming and comfortable old style house with tatami mats, futons and big puffy duvets. Your super friendly and informative hosts live next door and serve you the most delicious breakfasts - home baked sourdough and brioche, homemade jams, honey from their hives and granola - on their veranda. Very welcoming place to stay and great base for cycling and hiking on Omishima and other islands. Local onsen and Oyamadumi shrine a 30 min bike ride away, and the wonderful Bubuka restaurant reached in under an hour on foot.

Guesthouse (Farmor)

Great place to stay if you’re cycling the Shimanami Kaido! The location is ideal, right around the halfway point of the route, which makes it a convenient stop for an overnight rest. The bed was very comfortable, and the overall stay was smooth and pleasant. Would definitely recommend to fellow cyclists.

B&B Shiokaze for Onomichi / Shimanami sightseeing

EdwardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were warmly welcomed with a cup of Japanese green tea. It immediately felt very familiar. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious. Both Japanese and Western breakfast. The hostess was extremely thoughtful and took us to a bus stop far away so that our journey would be easier. Perfect place to start the Shimanami Kaido. We cycled from Imabari to Onomichi and this was the perfect location. Many shops and eateries within walking distance. We would book with Shiokaze again immediately. It was a relief to be received by a dear person as opposed to a key locker. Thank you!

If I knew Mayumi is gonna br so sweet, and that the room is so big and comfortable, I would have stayed more than one night. She waited for me by the bus stop when I arrived, suggested and made dinner and breakfast for me, gave me lots of advices for next locations in my trip, was very friendly and nice to talk to. Overall a wonderful experience. Super recommended!
