We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

Really beautiful home with stunning views, absolutely loved our stay here thanks for having us. Fully equipped kitchen and the space is absolutely gorgeous throughout. Brilliant outdoor area for dining and sunbathing. Garden and pool in full sunshine whenever you want to use them but a nice shaded area for dining. Only slight disappointment was the home did not have air con as advertised (it was underfloor heating) so we were quite hot at night and struggled to sleep. The heating system was adjusted and our host provided fans for each bedroom to try and help cool the house. Overall fantastic property.

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We had a great stay, we will definitely go back. The house is extremely comfortable, beautiful and versatile, it gives both a warm and cold height. The location is perfect, both for those who want to know Gerês, and for those who just want to rest and enjoy the amenities of the house. The hosts are super friendly and flexible, I highly recommend!

We love our stay! The house was impeccably clean and comfortable to welcome us. Cristina and her husband were very friendly and attentive! The outdoor space is excellent for enjoying family moments, as well as the view from the kitchen/living room, every day we dine with a view of the sunset. The house is very close to supermarkets, restaurants and even the beach and the walkways. We really like it!

We were allowed to spend 2 weeks at Casa da Luz and had a very nice and relaxing time. The garden of the property is fantastic! During our stay, the adjacent house Casa de Santiago was not occupied. Arrival and departure (handover via key safe) were hassle-free and communication with the landlord was very friendly and efficient. We felt very comfortable and can recommend Casa da Luz to anyone who wants to spend a quiet and undisturbed vacation.

We had the most wonderful month-long stay at this beautiful home in Portugal. The house itself is stunning—spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, which was fully equipped for cooking at home. It really felt like a home away from home. The location is perfect if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful break away from the city. It’s calm and quiet, yet only 20–30 minutes by car to some absolutely charming towns nearby—great for day trips and exploring the area. The hosts were absolutely lovely—welcoming, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we unexpectedly had some car trouble, they went out of their way to help us get things sorted quickly, which we really appreciated. All in all, this was a truly fantastic experience and we’re already looking forward to coming back if we’re in Portugal next year. Highly, highly recommended..!

The small house is a wonderful holiday destination. It is very lovingly and at the same time practically furnished. So you have everything you need. The location directly by the sea is great. It is also good that there is a fireplace, it can be uncomfortably cold in the evening. I found the conservatory very practical, it heats up during the day and you can use the heat for the house. It also serves as the connection between the house and the bathroom - very well solved. We also used the barbecue a lot, especially since there is fresh fish in the fish shop around the corner. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Excellent location, private house with space, in my case I went with the children, they had a lot of fun. A place to repeat very soon, excellent, it met all my expectations. I have no negative points to mention. Everything is great. I highly recommend taking advantage of this excellent space.

From the absolutely extraordinary house, to the scenery that seems to come from a movie, to Mr. Manuel who left us speechless of so friendly and dear that he is. There is no better place than this to rest, and we leave thinking about the time to return. The photographs do not make juz to the place at all… Very spacious house, we were in a T1 and there was a lot of space, well decorated, very modern, with an amazing outdoor space, it is simply magical to go to the balcony and only listen to the birds. Thank you Lúcia and thank you to Mr. Manuel, who made this stay fantastic and to wish you back!

The house is a stand alone accomodation with a lovely front terrace surrounded by fields....if you love nature, this is it...close by is a super restsurant if you don't feel like cooking and about 15 min max a coffee shop...so basically you don't need anything else...

A wonderful weekend with friends. The family that welcomed us was kind, explained all the necessary details and left us some welcome details that we loved. The sparkling clean pool is perfect for playing and cooling off on hot days. The pin pong and pool table is a detail that few houses have and that we enjoy very much. The soccer and tennis courts, the perfect kitchens... unbeatable! We'll see you again

Altogether a very enjoyable stay. Really well equipped home and generously stocked kitchen. The view from the house is glorious and the location amidst eucaplytus pine wild fennel. A looked after garden with overhanging lemon and lime trees and a series of well tendered lawns is perfect. Lovely 1.5 hr walk up high behnd the house to chapel. Carminha is a beautiful town 2.4 klm away : easy to park and easy getting in and out : lots of restaurants and pasterlerias and cafes. When you just arrive it is worth going 7 klms west along coast road to big supermarket :Continiente (signs on road) to stock up. Local lovely beach on the edge of town located eucaplyptus forest :easy parking- lifeguarded and has cafe. Beaches futher along the coast road . Inland from the house in a nearby village of Murios is small lake open to all for swimming and picnicing.. Great to come back to the house each day and everything to hand. Vitor exceptional host: kind,responisive and organised.

Antonio's house is an exceptional place to enjoy a quiet atmosphere, in the middle of nature in an original and open design house. Antonio was attentive at all times and gave us very good recommendations to enjoy the surrounding villages. The house is very close to beach areas and villages in a few minutes by car.

Everything was perfect. We would definitely come back. They are wonderful people and the house is even better than you imagine. Thank you!

The house is phenomenal, very close to Caminha and with fantastic beaches very close by (Foz do Mingo, Vila Praia de Áncora, Moledo). In addition you can visit other recommended places such as the sierra dAdra or Vilar do Mouros that has beautiful natural pools. An hour drive from Porto,Braga or Guimaraes. A place to go back.

José is an excellent host, always ready to answer questions and help. The house is beautiful and comfortable, and is close to several beaches and conveniently located to visit northern Portugal and southern Galicia. We were also able to enjoy the terrace for sunbathing, reading and even seeing the Perseids on the night of August 12, and the bicycles to take a ride along the Ecovía that runs along the Miño River. I would only point out one small drawback, and that is that for stays of 5 people and a week or more, it is a shame that the house does not have a washing machine or dishwasher, and that the refrigerator is so small. In any case, it is a totally recommended house.
