Cottage holiday rentals in Sedgefield

Sundial is a beautiful cottage, central to Skelton. The cottage is comfortable and has the convenience of a downstairs and upstairs bathroom / shower and a separate utility room. I booked Sundial for the hot tub and this feature didn’t disappoint. A superb way of relaxing after a busy day. We visited Saltburn (walkable along the Cleveland way) and Whitby (I highly recommend the Park & Ride). Before coming home I drove to Marske-on-sea where my dogs and I enjoyed a gorgeous walk along the wide, open beach. Marske has a dog friendly cafe (The dog house) if any dog lovers are reading this review!

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

We had a fantastic stay here for 4 nights. It was beautifully clean and had everything and more we needed. Such lovely hosts, very responsive should you need them. Great location! Such an easy drive to a lot of places. We visited Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering, Thornton Le Dale and more! All under 1 hours drive away. Cottage is so homely and very welcoming 😊 Amazing that each room has their own en-suite. Beds are so comfy! Downstairs bedroom was great for us with someone in the party having mobility issues. Games room is a fabulous touch! Sauna and hot tub both very clean. Highly recommend to stay here. Thanks for a wonderful stay 🥰

We love Rambling Rose Cottage! Dawn is a great host - all the extras - wine and chocolate on arrival, things like salt and even tea, coffee and milk to get you started. My daughter loves this cottage so it’s becoming a tradition to come for her birthday! Thanks so much Dawn! We will be back!

We’ve had the most wonderful time staying here. The Loft is spotless, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The views from the hot tub are breathtaking , it’s genuinely like stepping into a postcard! The perfect location for exploring The Dales. Claire and Neil are very welcoming and thoughtful, providing great recommendations. We’d thoroughly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to book again! Thank you for having us x

Charming and full of character, with fabulous pool and hot tub. Loved our stay with family. Granddaughter filled with excitement throughout our stay.

The cottage was beautiful, very clean and had everything you need to feel like home from home. The area is very easy to get to but feels like you are deep in the countryside. Will definitely return on my next trip to UK. 10/10

This accomodation is in a great location so peaceful with amazing views. It is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Lots of goodies left by the host for us to enjoy which were much appreciated. Although next to the hosts property while she was available If needed she respected our privacy and we enjoyed sitting on the private patio at the back looking at the stunning view. We would certainly recommend this Airbnb.

A very well presented cottage, walks straight from the door. Peaceful and impossible not to have a great night’s sleep. And very good access instructions …. no hunting around for key safes after a long journey ! Everything was clear and easy.

I recently stayed at Airbnp was friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any requests were handled promptly and professionally. The room and common areas were well-maintained and clean. Housekeeping did a great job and everything felt fresh and hygienic The room offers basic amenities that are sufficient for a comfortable stay. Wi-Fi worked well, and there was access to clean towels, toiletries it met all the essential needs for a short trip travelers looking for a clean, affordable, and well-located if you're planning to explore the area. Fab stay at sinnington! Great location. The cottage lovely and quaint and had a comfy bed, what more could you ask for. Also found Sara’s guide helpful as we visited Helmsley gardens and a few other places which was lovely. Would recommend! Didn’t get chance to try out the local pub but we did venture to the blacksmith arms in Lastingham which was 10/10 on all accounts. Thanks for having us!

Griff Cottage is beautiful and finished to a very high standard, Paul and Cath have thought of everything to make your stay .The welcome gifts of wine,milk and cakes was a lovely surprise to the start of our holiday & helpful instructions suggestions to local attractions,restaurants,pubs.We would highly recommend .It is located in a beautiful setting close to the beach and soooper dog friendly with wonderful coastal walks .

We absolutely adored our stay in the Little Barn. We felt so at home there. Everything about it was really comfortable - the sofa, the bed (REALLY comfy!), the furnishings, and the warmth of the place (good heating). The kitchen had all that we needed, and we loved being able to use the outdoor pizza oven, enjoying homemade pizzas and a bottle of Prosecco on the last night (Rebecca had very kindly left us the Prosecco and lots of other lovely things; eggs, coffee capsules for the coffee machine, some lovely chocolate - thank you so much!). The surroundings are really cool - the moors are so different to what we’re used to (coming from Hampshire/Surrey) and the walks through them and out onto the Dales were just spectacular. The view from the cottage was very cute; sheep and rabbits nearby. The cottage has books in it with great suggestions as to what to do/where to go, which we used to plan our outings. Truly a wonderful stay and we will definitely be coming back!

What a great house, had everything we needed, is modern but still cosy, great pizza place (knead a slice) nearby, and fab tea room on the square. Beautiful local walks - deer park, binchester roman fort by the river. Thoroughly recommend and highly enjoyable!

We loved our stay in David’s Thump Cottage. Everything was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We spent a day with David touring the Yorkshire countryside and some beautiful gardens, eventually making our way to a lovely, remote, historical pub. We could not have imagined the beautiful day and friendship we experienced. The town (and all the towns) and area is beyond beautiful. We cooked a few meals in the modern kitchen for breakfast and evening meals (we prefer to be home by dark) or ate leftovers from the huge portions served at restaurants and pubs. (Our afternoons were when we visited the restaurants and pubs.) We plan to return to see David and continue our journey north to Scotland someday ♥️ In other words we highly recommend Thump Cottage 😊 Thank you again, David, for sharing your amazing cottage with us. 🏡

What a lovely place Ulicia’s is to stay. It was so well equipped, immaculate, quiet, relaxing and homely. We stayed in Masham for the whole time we were there as it is such a lovely place. If you want to venture out of the town there are plenty of wonderful places to visit and the countryside is so beautiful. Highly recommend a visit for anyone who wants to just relax in the peace and quiet.

Loved the cottage. On the area: - fabulous local pub doing great food a literally a stone throws away - a ton of stuff to do within driving distance. We have a 3 & a 6 year old and we didn't scratch the surface of what there was in our 2 days. The local train museum (which is free) kept both our kids entertained for half a day alone - outstanding. Kimberley as a host was extremely responsive and her and Gary have very clearly put a lot of thought into the cottage - so many thoughtful touches! Wouldn't want to ruin it but as an example Kimberley even put out some age appropriate books for our kids along with some torches for some lights off reading by their beds. We'll definitely book again next time we're in the area

Great accommodation with all amenities you could require. Walking distance from bars and restaurants, with easy parking Friendly and proactive service. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return In future.

We loved staying in this cosy terraced cottage a few steps from the shops and superb restaurants on Yarm high street, and from the glorious Tees river walk. It was a very convenient place from which to visit my Dad and explore the area. This is a comfortable home in an historic building with small rooms and characterful features including slightly uneven floorboards and steep stairs, which were a breeze for me, my husband, 12 and 14 year olds, but might be less convenient for someone with mobility issues. The house has been beautifully decorated to maximise the space and light. Everything worked and it was spotlessly clean with a lovely functional little kitchen and great bathroom with plenty of hot water and space. We parked outside at night / on the Sunday, and found one of the suggested car parks just a minutes' walk down the road for the other daytimes. Overall it was a lovely stay and we hope to return next time we visit my Dad because it is such a great property.

Back at Ivy Cottage again, we had another great stay. We love the hut tub and pool table, and plenty of space for everyone. Thanks Jane.
