Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sedgefield

One of the most comfortable and stunningly beautiful places we have ever stayed at. From check in to check out everything ran smoothly and communication with Jenny was excellent. We would love to return one day!

A cozy place with an astonishing view of the bay. Instructions were very clear and the unit was spotless! Definitely worth the price. Could do with more lightning on the balcony.

I can't wait to return. The serene farm stay was perfect for a family break from the city's hustle and bustle. There was a sprawling lawn for the kids to enjoy themselves, and the crate of bats/balls, etc., was put to good use. It is eye-opening to see what the city kids are missing. The hike to the river was amazing, and not once did the kids have a chance to even think of saying they were tired, as nature kept them guessing around every corner. Linda was amazing from the initial communication post-booking until after checkout. Genuine farm hospitality!

My wife and I are well traveled. We've stayed in many 5-star hotels arround the world. Even so, this was one of our avourite accomodations ever. We cannot recommend hakuna matata enough. Dont even think twice.... you can feel the love when you walk through the door. The chelets are pristine and the view amazing. Just a wonderful vibe! Thank you Lustine and family for hosting us!

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip to SA due to a medical emergency. We did have friends who stayed at Firewings and absolutely loved it. My son and his family also stayed there and also thought it was fabulous. The reports were so good that we plan to stay at Firewings next February (health permitting). John is a fabulous host. Nothing was too much trouble considering our change of plans and his response time was always swift. I could not recommend John or Firewings more highly.

We had an excellent stay in this beautiful home. Very peaceful sitting outside by the canal. The house is much bigger than what we thought it from the photos! A really great getaway!!

This house was worth every penny, from the surroundings to the house itself, it met every expectation and more. The host is also extremely friendly so we were all happy about the experience. Highly recommended.

Great stay in Wilderness at Marianne's well kept cottage. My wife, pup and I spent 4 great nights and had everything we needed. It's a quick hop into town and the unit was fantastic. Will definitely be back!

This is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in beautifoul suroundings, the House is spacious, cozy and has Everything and more of what you need. We especially enjoyed the porch und spend Hours enjoying the views and nature around us. We had a lot of Plans for the area (Robberg Island is a Must!), but ended up spending much more time at the house than planned. We had a marvelous time and would advice anyone to Book this wonderful place!

5 Stars – A Slice of Paradise in Knysna! We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home in Knysna. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — the hosts greeted us warmly and had thoughtfully left snacks, a bottle of wine, and even a delicious cake for us to enjoy. Such a special touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The house itself is stunning — spotless, beautifully decorated, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful location made it the perfect place to unwind. We loved spending time on the patio, soaking in the scenery, and enjoying relaxed evenings by the fire. The location is ideal too — just a short drive from town, yet far enough to feel like a private retreat. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

what an awesome experience!! Julia is a great host, everything was explained well and easy to understand. what a bucket list experience and highly recommend visiting! super close to the waterfront with great restaurants and the mall is close by. secure parking for your car is also available so you don't have to worry. nothing beats waking up to the sunrise on a houseboat! wifi, hot water and all the amenities of a normal house just on the water, so awesome!

What a gem of a place! Waking up to that stunning view and being just a stone’s throw from the lagoon was such a treat. It’s the perfect spot for families with young kids. The house was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped—with a cozy fireplace that made chilly nights extra special. The swimming pool and bikes were a great bonus. Tori was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

We had a truly wonderful stay — it felt like being immersed in a beautiful forest retreat. The outdoor shower and bath were absolute highlights, giving off a magical, Costa Rica–like vibe. We felt completely safe and at ease throughout our visit. Lara was incredibly responsive, proactive, and warm, which made the experience even better. We absolutely loved staying here. lovely little cottage that is so beautifully decorated. The outside areas are so beautiful and there is a lovely water feature just outside the door which makes the whole area just feel so soothing and definitely not like in the middle of a big city! I was traveling through Knysna with a vehicle full of things as I am relocating and Lesley even made space in her garage so that I could safely park my car in it as the vehicle couldn't lock. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone! lovely accommodation and a super lovely host!

I enjoyed the attention paid to details of what would make the experience of staying there more comfortable. Cherry is kind and a wonderful host! I felt right at home.

This is really a small house with all the things you need for a holiday in the mountains of Hoekwil. Walkable to the village centre. Nestled in the garden with a great sense of privacy and a view of the mountains through trees. We only spent a night on a stop-over, but I imagine it would be a great space for friends or a small family to hang out together.

Thank You Anja and Raymond for a fantastic stay in your beautiful home. Everything was perfect and we loved every minute of our holiday. You were so quick to respond to messages and were so helpful with absolutely everything from Restaurants, to best beach to go to, and all amenities available. Getting our Entrance passes for the main gate was seamless and very quick and easy. We made friends with the guards who were fanstastic, cheerful and so helpful. We will definitely be back. Hopefully a friendship is borne from this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Lovely unit, very well and considerately stocked with milk, tea, coffee, etc. Comfiest couch ever! Highly recommended.

We stayed at this place for 4 nights and didn't want to leave. The place was wonderful, very clean, and the rooms were really nice. It felt very cozy, like a real home away from home. The views were beautiful and the best view to enjoy your meals. There were many board games for us to enjoy when it rained which was a great. Also, the properties was well catered. During our stay, the area had some municipal water supply issues. Despite it not being Joanne’s fault she handled the situation very well, keeping us informed and ensuring we had drinking water delivered to us. Her attention to detail really added to an already amazing experience. The host was amazing, very proactive and in constant communication with us. She provided helpful information about local events and activities that were happening during our stay. The cherry on top for us when we asked for a later check-out time and she gave it to us Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely return!!

Beautiful. The view from the deck was just breathtaking. the ( pool) snooker table and table tennis was a winner. Swimming pool stunning is stunning. It was just too cold for swimming. The bookshelf is amazing. Much to choose from
