House holiday rentals in Sedbergh

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Absolutely stunning. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my 40th. Me and my family had the best time. We had so much fun in the bar, playing pool and watching movies. As for the pool and hot tub..... wow! It was just absolutely brilliant. we all had the best time. the house itself was stunning, cozy and comfortable. Delanie you were just wonderful . I loved how we were able to make ourselves feel right at home. Living like superstars for a weekend. Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had such a lovely stay, from the moment we arrived until we left. The house is spacious, very tasteful, cosy, and peaceful. It was just what we needed. I would recommend staying here to a friend and I would love to return at some point. The house came with everything we needed for our stay, including a generous welcome package with food, drink, a map, a list of local spots, and things we could do in the Lake District and Yorkshire dales. It was an all around perfect weekend! :)

A great base for exploring the Dales and the Eastern Lake District. I did 2 wonderful sunny spring hillwalks from the doorstep and a further 3 within 40 mins by car. The cottage is exceedingly comfortable and a great blend of traditional decor and modern facilities, with highlights being the super comfortable bed, excellent new shower room and small but very well equipped kitchen. Thanks to Alexandra for the prompt response and short-notice booking, helpful instructions and extremely tasty cake, tea and coffee provided on arrival!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay in the little house on Main and it just perfect. Centrally located just off the main street in Sedbergh you have everything you need right on the doorstep. From breathtaking walks in the surrounding area to fantastic local produce, this house is local to it all. Sedbergh is easily accessible from the M6 northbound (within 20 mins) and you have Kendal and the Lakes within striking distance. The house itself is gorgeous, beautifully appointed with a great balance of homeliness and chic. All appliances are new and easy to use. The beds are super comfy. Communications with the hosts was effortless. They were responsive and informative. I really wouldnt hesistate to recommend a stay here again : )

Becky's initial communication was excellent and when we had a little issue she immediately responded and it was all sorted within about 15 minutes. The area is beautiful and a really good base to visit both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. I would highly recommend if you want peace and quiet

A lovely little cottage in the heart of the village, very welcoming in both pubs. A lovely neighbour Jackie, told us lots about the village and things to do, have a chat with him. Great communication from Steph and Ant before our and during our stay, even messaged to say the cottage was available early and we could go in. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this cottage.

Our first visit to Lakes and Cottage was absolutely fantastic! The countryside was so peaceful and serene. We had an amazing stay, and Emily was so thoughtful in providing us with an extra foam roller. I had a Fred Whitton event the next day, and it was a lifesaver! Oh, and the home-cooked cookies were absolutely delicious one of the best I’ve ever had! Thanks a million for that. Even our usually fussy cat, Noah, felt right at home. Overall, we highly recommend Lakes and Cottage and can’t wait to come back soon!

Really comfortable cottage, very well equipped in a great location. Easy to get to local attractions and great walks from the door. Close enough to visit the lakes but far enough away from hustle and bustle. Would definitely recommend.

We did a lot of different activities in the Lake district but the house was the highlight of our trip, we’d have been happy just to spend the whole time in the house. The house has been designed to get the most out of the views and the decor is amazing too, it is really clean and feels brand new. I’d say it is definitely worth paying a bit more to stay here over anywhere else in the local area, and we will be returning at some point in the future, we miss the house already. Also Team Laik and the owners are all fantastic, communicate well and make everything easy, so if you haven’t used Airbnb before I’d go with these, you can use the messaging system on the app and get a response almost straight away should you have any questions.

We stayed here for my sons 12th birthday for 2 nights end of May 2025. The house itself was beautiful, tastefully decorated and felt fresh and clean. The beds were all very comfortable with good bedding. The Hosts were very friendly and we felt the check in was easy and hassle free. The games room, sauna and hot tub were great additions and again well looked after and clean. We would definayely book here again.

Such a gorgeous stay away in Cumbria, the place was so tidy and cozy, it had everything you could need - so many amenities! It is located inbetween other buildings but still managed to feel very private, and had stunning views around. It is quite remote and is single track roads down to the property however the hosts were really clear and answered any questions about where we can park etc. It is also only a short drive to either Kendal or Windermere, so really convenient location for a nice day out! We can’t thank the hosts enough for such a lovely stay, would definitely recommend ☺️

We had a great few days at the cottage with our dog. Everything you need is within the house and you're a quick walk into the town. We either had takeaways or ate out but everything you'd need to cook is there. The cottage is lovely and clean and comfortable which was good as one of the nights we relaxed in the house due to bad weather. Communication was great from the hosts too. We'd stay again 😊

Wonderful little house and brilliant host! Our stay was perfect from start to finish - Chantal has equipped the cottage with everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) one could possibly need and is the MOST thoughtful and accommodating host one could ask for. The bed is super comfy, the house temperature perfect (but easy to adjust) and there’s even a bottle of Prosecco waiting for you upon your arrival. I couldn’t think of a negative even if I tried - it’s superb☺️

We had a wonderful few days at Winkley Hall Farm. Fantastic property in a wonderful, peaceful location with everything you need for a relaxing, long weekend break. Our communication with our hosts was great from the moment we booked, to arrival and throughout our stay. And the lovely welcome gift was an added surprise and greatly appreciated! We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend this property, and will look to return at some point in the future.

me and my partner had a lovely week at Cathys place. the road towards the house is a bit narrow but the reward is great. we enjoyed the peace of the area and we will surely be back again. i can highly recommend it if you are looking for some peace away from the big places

We stayed here for my girlfriends birthday with our dog. The house is absolutely stunning and very large - the photos don’t even do it justice! Iain and Louise were very responsive, beds were incredibly comfortable and we very much enjoyed the beautiful village setting. We would love to visit again!
