It has been renovated with great care, to the highest standard of design, using quality materials and finishes. It is a place to rest and unwind, to wander and sit in a garden full of wildlife, to gaze at the ever-changing views. It's 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Riflemans Arms

A great base for exploring the Dales and the Eastern Lake District. I did 2 wonderful sunny spring hillwalks from the doorstep and a further 3 within 40 mins by car. The cottage is exceedingly comfortable and a great blend of traditional decor and modern facilities, with highlights being the super comfortable bed, excellent new shower room and small but very well equipped kitchen. Thanks to Alexandra for the prompt response and short-notice booking, helpful instructions and extremely tasty cake, tea and coffee provided on arrival!

This was our second stay at Dalesway Cottage. It’s perfect. Clean, well-equipped, good bath and shower, comfortable beds. The sitting areas in front and behind the house mean you can always sit and relax in the sun. There is lots of up to date information about the local area plus laminated sheets of walks to do. It’s so peaceful, just the birds and lambs to gently wake you up in the morning. We love it and will definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Barn! Joanna was a fantastic host – warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and gave great local recommendations. She was also really responsive to messages and flexible when we asked about early check-in and late check-out, which made everything so much easier. The Barn itself is even more beautiful than the photos – cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches like bathroom minis, a great selection of books, and fresh apple juice in the mornings. The welcome manual was clear and helpful, although we didn’t need to refer to it much thanks to Joanna’s warm welcome and explanations. The location is perfect for exploring the Lakes, and the peaceful surroundings made for a great night’s sleep. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend staying here – and we’re already hoping to return. Thank you so much Joanna for such a lovely stay!

A lovely converted barn cottage in the Yorkshire Dales - we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was furnished to a high standard with a well appointed kitchen and two great en-suite shower rooms. Our dog loved running round the fully enclosed garden and we loved the real log fire which made the place extremely cosy. Would definitely recommend Denise’s property.
