Holiday home rentals in Scala

As soon as we booked Giulia’s property she was warm, welcoming and immensely helpful. She answered all of my many questions and provided very useful tips and recommendations weeks and days prior to our arrival. Once we arrived she greeted us at the meeting point and helped carry our bags to the property. She made us feel right at home and my only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

We spent 4 nights/5 days at San Valentino Torio. The property is very close to the train station and there are some great restaurants and gelatiera walkable distance to the apartment. The rooms are large and spacious with all that you need on your holiday. Definitely, a home away from home! We hired a car and visited Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi, Naples, Solerno and took a ferry from Solerno to Sorrento. There is a ferry stop at Capri too. O’Mericano was our favourite place to eat. The father and son duo, who run the restaurant, went out of the way to make dishes that were not on the menu! We are looking forward to returning to this place again soon.

Francesco was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make our first trip to Italy unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, his hospitality was incredible—he made us feel completely at home and was always available to help with anything we needed. Whether it was giving us local tips, helping us navigate transportation, or recommending authentic places to eat, Francesco was a true gem. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located, but it was really Francesco’s warm and genuine personality that made our stay so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better host, and we’re so grateful for everything he did to make our experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Highly, highly recommended—thank you, Francesco!

Loreta is a gem of a human. She went out of her way to pick us up and made sure we had a reliable taxi number for when she was unavailable. Her taxi driver, Alfonso, was very responsive which was great since Uber did not work well in the area. A ride to the Pompeii Scavi train station was 25 euro and the Pompei (trenitalia) station was 20 euro. Loreta gave us excellent suggestions for what to do and where to eat, definitely take her advice if she gives you a recommendation. The apartment itself is charming and has an amazing view of Vesuvius. We enjoyed starting and ending our days on the balcony. We also had fun watching the family of outdoor cats select their napping spots on nearby balconies and rooftops. The area is definitely pet friendly with many local dogs nearby. The Friday market mentioned in the listing is HUGE! They start setting up early in the morning and it covers several streets around the apartment. Overall, I would stay here again just to see Loreta.

Carmine & Valentina were amazing to us. They were so helpful with everything. They provided amazing recommendations in all the surrounding areas. Additionally they helped us book a boat tour to Capri, private riders to get around, and mopeds to travel the Amalfi coast. We got to make our own homemade pizzas at their house in the brick oven and it was such a great experience. Probably the coolest food experience we have ever had. The Airbnb house’s rooftop view was incredible. All in all, they were the best Airbnb host and experience that my friends and I have ever had. I definitely recommend their spot!

We chose Arnaldo's place based upon all the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Arnaldo is a great host and the opportunity to stay in a 16th century Palace in a great location and beautiful neighbourhood in Naples is not to be missed ! We loved walking up through the monumental portal gate and stone ramp up to the Palace. Super safe area and quiet at night, vibrant during the day. Lovely bakeries, shops, supermarket, restaurants, all on your doorstep. Getting to ferries and trains is easy and walkable from the Palace. We really loved our stay. Thank you Arnaldo ! Great two-level apartment with a beautiful view over Capri, the mountains and the sea. Raffaella is a great host, kind and easy to communicate. She recommended us a great boat trip to Amalfi coast and Capri with a free pick up from the villa. Highly recommended! Thank you for having us! Aggie & Friends

We had a great stay this week. Grady and Francesca were very hospitable and helpful with communication and recommendations. The villa was well appointed and close to restaurants, shopping, the water and ferries. A perfect base for exploring the Amalfi coast. The view from the villa was amazing! We will miss this great spot for enjoying wine on the terrace every night and coffee each morning. Positano was incredible! We got to experience this great community when Napoli won the Series A championship in a viewing party downtown. Overall a perfect vacation. Ciao!

O espaço era bom, custa muito subir 124 degraus, só aponto o facto da cozinha não ter um microondas e uma torradeira, e a televisão nunca conseguimos ver porque não funciona normalmente

Wir haben drei tolle Tage in Neapel verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral, ein paar Minuten zu Fuß zu Piazza Dante. Man ist mitten drinnen im neapolitanischen Leben! Die Wohnung ist relativ klein, aber mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet, unser Sohn war vom Etagenbett total begeistert. Die Terrassen über den Dächern von Neapel sind fantastisch, man hat einen tollen Blick auf den Vesuv und die ganze Stadt. Eine 100%- Empfehlung von uns!

Appartamento molto spazioso, in una zona tranquilla, con vista sul golfo davanti e Vesuvio alle spalle. La casa è fornita di tutto il necessario per il soggiorno. L’host abita al piano di sotto quindi è sempre disponibile in caso di bisogno. Prima dell’arrivo l’host ci ha mandato informazioni su bar, ristoranti e supermercati nella zona, e ci ha lasciato una bottiglia di vino locale come come benvenuto. L’unica pecca è la strada per raggiungere la casa che è molto stretta e con auto di grande volume si può avere qualche problema.

Cant say enough about Silvana and the entire family's efforts to make us feel at home. We were greeted at the bus stop before check-in, they helped us carry our bags up the stairs, and had cold apple juice and snacks waiting for us. Communication was prompt. The hosts helped us navigate the bus and ferry schedule, and gave ideas for hikes and activities. The home is beautiful, spotless, and has every amenity you can imagine. Highly recommend if you want to be close to activities, but far enough away from the crowds of Amalfi and the coastline. Rhis was our favorite place we stayed in our two week journey. Grazie!

Nicola was an amazing host. He was extremely helpful making reservations and answering questions about the area. He made 3 dinner reservations, arranged our transport from the train station to the Airbnb and back, and a private boat ride for us. Upon arrival he recommended we rent a Vespa, and he arranged that as well. We were picked up from our Airbnb by a shuttle and taken directly to the Vespa rental location. Staying in Praiano vs Positano or Amalfi was the best decision we made. It was so peaceful and quiet. The restaurants Nicola recommended were amazing, getting around was very easy, and it was a quick Vespa ride to the rest of the amalfi coast. All of the other cities were overcrowded. Overall, I couldn’t imagine a better stay.

Wow is all we can say!! This Praiano Airbnb was a hidden gem outside the hustle and bustle of Positano. We loved every second of our stay and were sad to move onto our destination because we fell in love with the little city of Praiano. Truly no complaints about the space and location. Lots of stairs, but worth it for the pristine views from the bedroom and the terrace. Must go to Mirante Cafe, La Strada, and Il Pirata! Three of our favorite places. We also went to the beach one day and rented chairs for a reasonable price. The mobility bus within Praiano was easy to use once we realized it was more of a van than a bus. It was two euros to ride and saved us so many stairs. We can’t wait to come back and spend our whole vacation in Praiano for our next trip! Host was incredibly responsive and flexible on check-in times. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars for sure!!

Perfect home in a perfect location! Walkable to all great restaurants and shops and shoreline. Host was so friendly and flexible with our check-in time. Beautifully decorated, well-appointed home and we can’t wait to come back to Sorrento. We would absolutely stay in this home again for sure! Had an amazing time!

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft war genauso wie beschrieben – sehr sauber, stilvoll eingerichtet und in einer tollen Lage. Der Check-in war unkompliziert und die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war freundlich, schnell und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

We only stayed for one night, but it fit our needs perfectly. We were able to check-in early and relax before exploring Sorrento. Beautiful and airy space with a lovely rooftop. AC worked great! Michele helped to arrange the beds perfectly for our party of 8 and had a lovely welcome basket for us on arrival with a bottle of wine, pasta, sauce, and milk. Parking directions were easy to follow and it’s right around the corner from the AirBnB. It’s about a 10-minute drive down to Sorrento, which was easy to navigate. Overall, great stay and would recommend for families.

Beautiful apartment! The hosts comms were great. Incredible location. Very well equipped. You do need to be fit to climb all those steps, but it is well worth it, and a lift is coming soon i understand :-)

Margherita’s place was just as described!! Clean, spacious and very tranquil. I had never been to Naples and when I arrived I was worried since the location of the flat is so central, that could be noisy but as Margherita says in her description the flat it’s very quiet and you can barely hear a sound. Also the A/C saved my life, Naples can be extreme hot and I truly recommend to get a places like Margherita’s with A/C in both, the living space and the bedroom. Lastly, Margherita was exquisite, fast in replying and full of recommendations. When I will be back in Naples next, I will definitely try and stay there again. Thank you Margherita for hosting me ☺️

We had a fantastic stay at Antonino’s apartment. The location is absolutely perfect – right in the city center, with everything we needed just a short walk away. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Antonino was a great host – responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
