Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sawyer, Weesaw Township

We rented this property for our family with two little children. Although a bit small , it worked well for our needs. Lovely area, with a short pleasant walk to Lake Michigan beaches. We used to live in this neighborhood so it was very nice to revisit the area.

We had an amazing time staying here for our joint Bachelor/Bachelorette weekend! It is a beautiful property that comfortably fit all 13 of us! We miss it already! It was a great time :)

I am still going to give a 5 star review regardless of a couple issues we had. First of all the house, amenities, and outside area are excellent and as described. The location feels very private and it is what we were looking for. We had 3 total issues during our stay, and 2/3 minimum were outside of the owner's control. During our drive in the Benton Harbor area had 60-70mph straight line winds that blew the outside furniture into the driveway. This storm also caused water to bypass a window and get the floor a bit dirty. Owners drove out early next morning and replaced outdoor furniture and I wiped up the water in the house. In the morning we realized the hot water was out. Owners immediately drove back out and investigated. They happened to have a property that was vacant at the time, and gave us access to it to drive there and shower. Overall communication and response was excellent. Owners made us whole, and I would recommend.

The house was absolutely perfect for our girls’ weekend. It was clean, modern, spacious, and just as described. We loved the area with the great restaurants and wine bars. The hot tub was a very nice feature. Molly was quick to respond to questions. We hope to return on a future trip.

This is the second year I rented this place for my birthday weekend away with friends. The house has so many accommodations for sleeping and different sitting areas. However, the main event is the kitchen. My friends and I love to cook and that's why we came back a second year in a row. The kitchen is unbelievably well-stocked with anything you might need to cook. There are multiple sinks so someone can be cooking while someone else cleans. The layout is perfect for people to hang out with whoever is cooking. There are two ovens. It is a dream. The house feels comfortable and lived-in, and it feels like there has been a lot of thought and intention focused on the user-experience. Cannot say enough nice stuff about this house, cannot recommend enough. Will be coming back for my 29 birthday.

Place was as advertised, not much to complain about at all. Easy to find, clear communications, clean place. Only criticism I’d have is there is no closet/drawer space in the first bedroom, would recommend putting a nightstand or something in there if possible. Thanks Brooke!

We come to this area often to see family, often for larger gatherings, and this is the second time we spent time at Courtney & Garrett’s place - last time, other out of town family stayed here and we all had dinner at their house. The hosts were always quick to reply to our messages, and offered several suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Their place is clean with personal touches, and my favorite design mix of modern and vintage. It has newer architectural elements and appliances, along with antique/classic furniture and design pieces so it doesn’t feel sterile like you’re sitting in a showroom at a furniture store but still feels clean and modern. The house has all the things one might need, is set in a private and beautiful location & is literally surrounded by nature, viewable through tons of floor to ceiling windows. We had a lovely stay and I’m sure we’ll come back again!

We had the most amazing week at The Treehouse! It is a beautiful house-so cozy, had everything we needed and we immediately felt at home! Our kids loved the loft space. We loved the area guide that was provided-we found amazing food, beaches and shopping! We’re already dreaming of our next trip back!

Maybe the best Airbnb attached to someone’s home that I’ve ever stayed in. Such a sweet set up. Very comfortable, clean, private. Thankful for the keurig for coffee and water bottles in the frig. My stay was short but very restful and waking up to have my morning coffee out on the deck and watch the river and the birds was the highlight of my stay. Mark was very good with communicating and gave clear instructions. The Airbnb was easy to find, even in the dark. Of course being attached to their home there was a bit of noise from the kids in the morning but that wasn’t until after 9am and didn’t bother me at all. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

My husband and I both loved staying at the Cottage. It was perfect for us! The hosts were wonderful, the place was clean, well equipped, private, quiet, and easy to access. We plan to stay again in the future. Wonderful, wonderful place!

We had a comfortable girls getaway. We were happy that they provided beach chairs and an umbrella available for us to use. Enjoyed being able to walk to the local Fluid Coffee House. Just a few minutes drive to the beach of Lake Michigan. Michigan City is a quiet little town close to Indiana Dunes and New Buffalo which is more vibrant.

Loved my stay! The farm was gorgeous and so peaceful and rejuvenating. Wish I could’ve stayed longer and would definitely stay again. Dan and Suzanne were friendly and helpful and the apartment was comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. 5 stars!

The condo was as advertised. Clean, organized, quiet and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our annual family visit.

We had a wonderful stay here. We are locals that needed a place to stay during some home renovations. We loved the location. We considered renting a place down by the lake but we chose to be close to all the shops and restaurants and we were very pleased with that decision. The Lake/beach is an easy and pretty walk. Juniper was very accommodating with our dog. We loved the layout and space. The table top shuffle board was a fun add. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful, cozy space with a great location!

Let me begin by saying we can’t wait to stay again. The location was absolutely amazing, particularly if you, like us, adore sunsets. We enjoyed the walk to the beach which is on the property and found the sunsets breathtaking. The beach is beautiful and allowed us to walk three miles. The unit was very clean and had what we needed. We were able to cook in two nights and enjoy a Saugutuck restaurant one evening. Patricia was very communicative and was prompt in responses to questions. We simply could not have enjoyed a better stay. We look forward to coming back.

Sharon’s place is just perfect! Very clean, peaceful area, lacked for nothing. You can’t go wrong here.

Really enjoyed our stay. Melanie was responsive and checked in on us to see how are stay was going and if we needed anything. She explained everything so well beforehand that we didn’t need any help. She was a fantastic host and the place was great. Definitely recommend and would go back!
