Chalet holiday rentals in Saunton Sands

'Badger' is in a lovely quiet setting, surrounded by trees. The dawn chorus is incredible and we watched the squirrels and birds on the feeders on the balcony each morning. The cabin is clearly a much-loved holiday home and has a lot of the owner's personal posessions on display, which was fine or us, but might be off putting if that's not your thing. We found that it was well equipped (the dishwasher was particularly welcome and the kids loved playing on a Wii). It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we really enjoyed being in a beautiful rural area so close to Bude.

What a beautiful place, so peaceful and the lodge was so cute. Ian met us on arrival and showed us around and told us all the info we needed, he also gave us freshly baked scones which was such a lovely touch. Just outside the lodge there was so much space for our daughter's to play and ride around on some bikes borrowed from the farm. The location was ideal and not too far from a town or a day on the beach. We will definitely be returning as we've had the most lovely holiday and actually feel we relaxed being in such a quiet, picturesque spot.

We had a lovely stay at the cosy sanctuary. The location was perfect, walkable to the beach and a short drive to Bude. Frances was a great host. We had no trouble finding the place with her clear instructions and messaged us to make sure we were ok with everything.

What a gem of a find. We wanted a relaxing family weekend and that’s what we got. Very comfy chalet, beautiful views of the sea and beach, easy walk to sea pool and the local restaurants etc in Westward Ho! and The Pier House, practically onsite was fab with great food and a small arcade and pool (not the swimming kind) for our boys. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully return one day.

Eileen’s place was perfect for our stay. The location is wonderful, it’s a very short drive to widemouth bay beach. The chalet was extremely clean and host was really responsive to messages. Would definitely recommend and look to stay here again!

This was our forth time staying in the local area, but we hadn't actually stayed in Westward Ho! until this latest trip. If you have any doubts about booking this Airbnb, stop. You will not be disappointed. We've stayed in many caravans in many places around the UK and hand on heart, this is the best we've ever been to. The park itself may not have the overkill of facilities, but what it does have is a view that more than makes up for it. We had a lovely relaxing stay and we can't wait to rebook.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Wren lodge. It was so peaceful, cosy, clean, well equipped and was our happy place for a week. We loved the swimming pool and would have used it loads more if the weather had been warmer. During our week we had a lovely 2 mile walk to the local village pub where we had a tasty meal. We drove out to Bude, which we loved for cute shops and crabbing on the harbour wall. We found Sandymouth beach for a fun beach day, with an amazing beach cafe. We would definitely recommend the lodge for a relaxing homely place to stay with great helpful hosts. Definitely value gor money. Well equipped kitchen and all lovely and clean. The large garden space around the lodge was sich a nice view and seeing cows in the field from the kitchen window was just delightful! A very happy holiday. Thank you to Valerie and Tony!

Golden bay was the perfect getaway! The chalet was beautiful and clean with the most amazing views! It’s just a short stroll away from the promenade and beach. We were so lucky with the weather which made our trip even more special. I would 100% book again!!

Lovely and clean, facilities in the holiday village were great. Pool lovely and bar nice and friendly.

Thank you for a lovely stay - great location and perfect for our family of 5. Beds are comfortable, the place was very clean and just as described. Lovely list of local recommendations and hosts were very friendly and responsive. The only thing I would say is I was expecting not to have to bring washing up liquid & sponge, hand wash, tin foil, etc. as these have always been included in other short term rental properties. But there are shops nearby to purchase so it wasn’t too much bother!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Golden Bay. Our chalet was very comfortable and very clean. The grounds are very well kept and it’s a quiet and relaxing site in a great location just minutes from the beach, restaurants and arcade. Staff were so helpful and friendly and we would definitely return.

What a find. Beautiful little spot with amazing views over the sea especially at sunset. The house was clean and cosy, everything we needed. We used the pool at the park and were the only ones in there-it was perfect. Couldn’t ask for anything more, we have had a great time. The only very small downside was the path to the beach was muddy and through a field of sheep which wasn’t my daughters favourite thing but it was easy enough to drive to the beach which is easier with all the stuff you have to take anyway. Thanks to Richard and Claire for sharing their home with us, it’s been wonderful!

Chalet 37 was an amazing place to stay, beautiful inside and all you could ask for. Sparkly clean and the linen was crisp and fresh. The local area was stunning, with views to die for, and surf is also a winner too. The facilities on park for both adults and children alike were fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend Widemouth Bay Holiday Park and Chalet 37, Carolyn you are a gem and you made our stay very welcoming with all the information you provided us, and was on the other end of the phone if we had a question.
