Apartment holiday rentals in Sao Roque

Apartment is beautiful, and the location is unbeatable. Absolutely the best location we could have asked for for a few days in the city. The host coordinated a taxi pickup for us after we checked in, which was much appreciated as we were unsure which taxi company to use (and there is no Uber on the island). Only feedback is that they use a management company and ask that you communicate via whats app for quicker response. Not a huge fan of communication outside of the Airbnb app, and response time can vary. The apartment was beautiful, in a great spot, and checkout was easy. Would stay there again.

Our stay in Ponta Delgada was wonderful! Check in was a breeze and the apartment was exactly what we expected and more. The living room and kitchen were spacious and very well equipped. We had more than enough utensils, dish ware, and cookware. Everywhere in the apartment was clean and comfortable, and had surprising amounts of storage. Travelling to and from the apartment by car was very easy, and the garage parking added extra peace of mind. Not sure if we missed some guest instructions, but we had to ask where to take out our garbage and recycling, which would have been nice to know sooner. All in all, a very cozy, well equipped, and conveniently located apartment to stay at when exploring the island!

Good location, impeccably clean and tidy house. Nelia is very friendly and available to help if necessary. We felt at home. It all worked perfectly. It was a great vacation, we really enjoyed it.

The home was even better than expected—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It felt cozy and peaceful, like a true home away from home. The host was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and responsive, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. It really made a difference and added such a personal touch to the experience. My three friends and I felt relaxed, safe, and truly cared for. Whether we were sharing meals, exploring the area, or just unwinding, the space brought us joy and made our trip so memorable. Highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a special place to stay—we would absolutely return in a heartbeat!

Immaculate and great location in Furnas. Clean, comfortable apartment with well-appointed kitchen. The location was amazing just a block from Parque Terra Nostra. The Caldeiras are on the other side of town, a 10-15 minute walk. Ample street parking a short distance from the apartment. We found the washer/dryer useful. The best part for me was how quiet the penthouse was. It is on a main street, but the place is in the back of the building, and we never heard street noise or neighbors. This was my favorite place of the 3 we stayed at in Portugal, but it was my wife's second favorite, as it was smaller than the others and she found it a bit cramped.

We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment has so much charm – it’s part of a beautifully renovated old building, combining traditional character with stylish design. It’s located in a little village, which made the experience feel even more special and authentic. The apartment is perfectly equipped with everything you need, and we got some nice local gifts. The large garden is peaceful and great for relaxing. It's also the perfect base for exploring the west of the island, including the breathtaking Sete Cidades. We will definitely come back.

All was perfect. We suggest changing the towels they were a bit ripped.

The flat is even more beautiful and spacious than in the pictures. Well-equipped kitchen, brand-new furniture, extremely clean rooms and comfortable beds. A nice seafood restaurant steps away from the back entrance of the building. Overall an excellent stay. We’ll certainly be back!

Great view from the balcony, nice spot to have breakfast or an afternoon beverage. Beach is great…unless it is really windy and the waves are rolling in hard.

We had a fantastic weeks stay here - perfect location and easy to walk everywhere. We had a hire car and had no problems at all parking outside and always got a space! Highly recommend

perfect for our trip. The accommodation has everything you need and more, such as a dishwasher and washing machine with their respective tablets You have a supermarket downstairs and easy parking, walking to the center takes about 20 minutes

We've just returned from a week at Vila Alegre and loved it! It is a real gem, and Antonio and Maggie are wonderful hosts. The place was easy to find, and it is just as lovely as in the photos. We were greeted by Antonio and Maggie who showed us around and explained how everything worked and where to find things. They had thoughtfully provided a welcome basket of local produce to get us started, and we enjoyed these goodies. They were also happy to provide information and tips on places to visit. The apartment is well equipped and furnished in a comfortable, homely style. The highlight has to be the garden room! It is so relaxing to sit there gazing out over the magnificent garden and listening to the birds. The garden is truly amazing - it is huge, and so well maintained - it is clearly Antonio's passion, and we felt very lucky to share it for a few days. We hired a car for the duration of our stay, and I would say that you do need a car when staying here. We would love to return.

Check in was easy, as followed instructions given. Very noisy from airport (didn’t realise how close we were when booking). The apartment was perfect for my mum and I, one bed and used sofa bed. Would recommend if you have a hire car like us as we drove into town and everywhere else, not the best if you need to use taxi/ bus etc to get around

Beautiful location. Sea view. Big sliding glass doors and wonderful black out blinds. Brilliant shower. Gualter and his wife were perfect hosts, helping with local convenient car hire and taxi too. Always there to help make the trip smooth and special. Great hosts, great apartment, great location. There are sea water swimming pools within 5 minutes walk! We loved this.

The apartment is beautiful, it is attached to their house but you have a section of farm that seems like it is all to yourselves. The fresh vegetables and fruit were delicious, it is located so central you can go to either end of the island easily. The restaurant was incredible!

André was very helpful from beginning to the end of our stay. Always available if any help or advice was needed. Extremely friendly in communication and checking in with us during our stay to make sure all was okay. Amazing experience and great location. The hot tub was exactly what we needed at the end of an adventurous day! I recommend to anybody looking for a great experience and central location while in Sao Miguel!

Really can’t say enough positive things about this spot. Excellent location right in the heart of Ponta Delgada, walkable to everything. Clean, modern, well lit space with all the amenities, even a curated wine selection. Honestly one of the nicest AirBNBs I’ve ever stayed in and perfect for our family of 5’s stay on Sao Miguel.

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is very close to a popular surf spot, it's just 1 minute walk. The apartment is very modern and having the jakuzi on the terrace was a nice experience. The communication with Ryan was very fast, when there was a problem, he helped immediately.

My husband and I had a great stay at Bruno’s Airbnb. We picked this apartment because it is located in a very quiet neighborhood, 7 minutes away from the supermarket, and about 15 minutes away from Ponta Delgada. When we arrived the space was very clean, spacious, and well maintained. Everything looks brand new. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in after a long adventurous day. He was very quick to answer any of our questions and he provided some great recommendations on places to visit, and where to eat. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
