Lakefront Home with Private Dock and Kayaks/SUPs

Staying at Michael's lake house was the perfect retreat for our family. The first thing that stood out: The quiet. The house is on a cove just off the main lake, and it's so peaceful. We started our mornings with coffee on the screened in porch (yay no mosquitoes to worry about with kids!) and then spent the days kayaking, paddleboarding, and lying in the hammock. The lake itself is gorgeous and there's a sandbar that our girls loved! Meals were a breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a lovely space to cook in (not to mention clean!). We grilled a couple of times too, which, for us, is a vacation must. It rained a little bit while we were there, but the house was well stocked with board games and honestly, everything was so beautifully decorated, it was just as relaxing indoors as outside. We'd totally come back here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Joel

Susan and Ralph have a really nice apartment attached to their house. There were so many positive things about it - super quiet, beautiful forest outside, very friendly hosts, spotlessly clean, gas fire stove, had all the amenities. We had a wonderful time there on our vacation and can't recommend it highly enough.

The apartment was beautiful and felt like a real home. So much better then getting a hotel.. Zoe was a awesome host . Always there when you need her. Super friendly. I am so happy I had the opportunity to stay at this place with my family for my vacation. My family and i will most definitely recommend staying there for your vacation instead of a hotel.

This is an incredibly quaint place on the water. It was quiet and peaceful. We made easy day trips to both Kennebunkport and Portland. Be sure to stay close to Sanford for your lobster roll at Shain’s of Maine. Much more affordable than either Kennebunkport or Portland. Marc was super responsive with requests. We will stay there again !

Super Host* Quiet Country Retreat

We had the most amazing 10 days at Bob & Angie’s place. The apartment was the perfect size for our family with our 3 yr old and 3 month old. Quiet, cool (even in 30+ degree heat), and great black-out blinds! The apartment was spotlessly clean, much bigger than the photos and well-equipped for our stay, making cooking and general holiday-ing with kids really straightforward. Angie lent us some toys and books too. The pool is fantastic with shade and sunshine and places to sit. Also secured off from the kids. I can’t begin to describe the beauty of the location and garden, particularly for us city folk! Angie and Bob are wonderful hosts; helpful and friendly without being intrusive. We would definitely stay again.
