We stayed only one day in San Jose. The apartment was perfect and exactly as listed. We found amazing coffee in walking distance, restaurants, bars and live music. We got lucky in finding a live concert downtown and a cultural festival while walking around. I feel we got a good taste of the city. We will definitely come back!

I had a great stay at Dominique’s AirBnB in Barrio Otoya. I was in San Jose for a week to explore some of Costa Rica’s capital and to do some day trips to tourist spots outside the city. The AirBnB was in a great location both for visiting museums and the National Theatre in downtown San Jose as well as for checking out coffee shops and restaurants in nearby Barrio Escalante. Dominique was a responsive host for check in and check out and also offered good local recommendations for activities (I arrived the weekend of the Transitarte festival which was a fab rec!) and places to eat (Cafe Otoya is a must!). The AirBnB has two stages to entry so feels very safe and secure (plus security camera!) on a quieter street, but is close to a pick up point for guided tours (across from the La Linea Bar). Overall, I would happily return here if ever back in San Jose! A note for light sleepers/late risers: heed the note re. the trains, especially in the morning (didn’t bother me though!😁)

We asked if possible to get the room early, and when I arrived by 0900; they had the room ready, that gave extra time to go to the auto market near to get us things for cooking and things that we like it from the market.

Descripción exacta. A 8 minutos en bus de San José. Paradas de bus enfrente y 20 metros. Supermercado solo atravezar la calle. Tranquilo seguro. Un centro comercial a 5 minutos a pie. Lo recomiendo. A muy buen precio. Espero volver.

Great apartment to stay in the center of Escalante. The building is very new so the apartment is in great condition and has a great style. Very short walk to many restaurants and cafe’s but fairly quiet location. Great views!

The place was GREAT, they respond rapidly. I could hear the train that a prior occupant complained about, however it wasn't that bad, and only on weekdays I believe. The security is pretty tight, but give the host time to let the security know and they will accommodate your guest. The upstairs shower water could have been a little hotter, but it's probably a simple water heater tweak. The downstairs bedroom doesn't have AC, but there are portable fans not an issue this time of year. I think the living room could use a TV, however if I had to pick living room tv or bedroom tv's I would pick bedroom so not a major complaint. There is a grocery store and a gas station across the street so the location is perfect if you rent a car and need groceries. Restaurants within walking distance and you are close to the social areas. The couch can even be used as a bed, however I don't think it is mentioned in the listing. Lastly the iron just needs to be cleaned or replaced. GREAT PLACE

My stay at Moises place was very enjoyable. The apartment is very modern and clean. The balcony provides a great view over San Jose. As others have mentioned the noise of the train can be a little annoying if you’re not used to city noises, in particular there is a lot of train honking and not just the train passing by even so I didn’t need to use the earplugs provided.

Thoughtfully decorated apartment on the 24th floor of a 29 story building. Excellent view of the city, especially at night. No problems with appliances or plumbing. TV's have Fox, CNN, and other English speaking channels along with Netflix. Best gym in the neighborhood. Highly recommended. Five stars.

El apartamento es muy bonito. Y muy bien ubicado, cerca de supermercado y restaurantes. La comunicación con José es muy buena. También me dio la posibilidad de ingresar una hora , lo cual agradezco mucho . El lugar es súper seguro . Lo recomiendo, y lo volvería a reservar a futuro

O apartamento é excelente - muito bem equipado, com tudo o que você precisa para uma estadia confortável. A vista da varanda é linda e torna o ambiente ainda mais especial. O prédio conta com comodidades incríveis, como academia bem equipada e uma piscina ótima para relaxar. Os anfitriões foram super atenciosos e sempre rápidos nas respostas, o que fez toda a diferença. A localização também é ótima, com restaurantes, mercados e parques bem próximos. Recomendo muito e com certeza voltaria!

Andrey is a great host and communicator. Getting in and settled was super easy. We loved the privacy, security and grounds. Safe and gated parking - YAY! The apartment was SUPER CLEAN and had everything we needed for our stay. Lots of room to spread out and the AC worked great in the bedroom. Down-type pillows were a nice plus. I'm just sad we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the jacuzzi! I can tell that this family manages the property with LOVE.

Sebastian has an amazing home! Extremely close to everything you want to do in San Jose. And then when you come home, you can relax in a safe and comfortable home with no worries. I cannot say a single bad thing about this Airbnb. I would definitely book again in the future if available.

The property itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Llegamos y el lugar olía muy bien, estaba limpio y bonito, linda piscina y jacuzzi junto con una vista bella hacia la ciudad. Mi única queja sería que la vista de la habitación era totalmente diferente. Lo único que puedes ver a través de las ventanas es un edificio en construcción

Lugar muy céntrico, limpio, ordenado. La cocina cuenta con todo lo necesario para cocinar, el colchón de la cama es rico, me sentí en casa.
