Pet-friendly holiday rentals in San José de la Montaña

We kicked off our honeymoon in Costa Rica at Axel's place for 4-nights. When we arrived, it was the evening so it was dark out. The following morning we were totally blown away by the beauty of this lovely farm! Gorgeous green trees, flowers, monsteras, & mountains are surrounding you. The view is spectacular (even when it is raining or cloudy). The house has hammocks to relax in, a kitchen equipped with everything you need to make a delicious meal, a very comfy bed, and views to die for! Toucan-spotting over coffee in the morning was a highlight. Axel was not only a great host but a lovely person to chat with! If you are looking for a more remote Costa Rican experience, this is the place for you. Highly recommend and are definitely planning to come back to this wonderful place! Thanks again Axel!!

I had a great stay in San José. The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. Check-in was smooth, and the host was very responsive and quick to resolve any issues that came up during my stay. It was a perfect base for exploring the city and surrounding areas. I’d definitely stay here again.

Chris is the Man! For context, my girlfriend and I had another bnb in the area that lost power and water for 2 days! I had to book an emergency stay and Chris accommodated and responded swiftly even though it was very short notice. We fell more in love with his property than our original one lol. 10/10 stay loved the vibezz.

La casa y la propiedad son hermosas. Mucho verde, árboles y pajaritos. Las vistas a la ciudad son lindas y es un espacio de mucha tranquilidad. Dicen que el amor está en los detalles y hay definitivamente mucho amor invertido en que la casa sea un lugar acogedor y hermoso. Cada rinconcito y espacio de la casa han sido cuidados con atención Las camas son súper cómodas, tenía mucho de no dormir tan bien. La comunicación con María y Daniel fué excelente desde el principio. Ambos son súper atentos, serviciales y considerados. Definitivamente volveremos

Booked this last minute and excellent communication. The place is newer and has great restaurants on the street level . Awesome pool and even better 21st floor to rooftop where you can spend the morning relaxing or wind down in the evening ! Check in was a breeze. The cooking facilty was awesome. Close to city but far enough to be away from the hustle n bustle

Fantastic stay! The location was perfect, with plenty of walkable restaurants nearby. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, and we loved having access to a great pool and gym.

Quedamos encantados con el alojamiento de Norman, ubicado cerca de exclusivos restaurantes, en una de mis zonas favoritas de San José. El apartamento muy limpio y muy acogedor, nos encantó la decoración y el amplio dormitorio. Volveremos sin duda!

Buscábamos un lugar cerca del Centro de Convenciones y este lugar está muy cerca como a 5 minutos. El departamento es muy moderno y tiene dispensadores de snacks y café auto asistido, eso me pareció excelente dado que llegamos bastante tarde y queríamos un café y pudimos comprar uno. Limpieza excelente y espacio súper agradable. Hay parqueo privado y seguridad. Volveríamos alojarnos aquí.

Our family group of 11 had a wonderful stay at Raquel's - we all wished it had been longer! The house was comfortable, the grounds are beautiful, the children enjoyed the pool, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The activities we had planned kept us away during most of each day, and we wished we had more time just to enjoy the space! Even with some water utility issues that were out of her control, she communicated with us about the potential problem, and the reserve tank kept us from being without water. Her responses to questions were quick and helpful. We highly recommend the place!!

Un lugar hermoso y muy cuidado. el jardín estaba impecable, a mi perrita le gustó mucho, tiene la ventaja de ser una propiedad completamente cerrada pero con una hermosa vista del valle central. Griselda es muy amable y está pendiente.

Living on the coast, my husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains to relax and renew and celebrate a milestone birthday. Leidy’s place was perfect! Cozy and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The location on a family coffee plantation provided beautiful views and amazing birdwatching right from the deck. The bungalow was surprisingly close to town for meals out and everything coffee! Will definitely recommend this place to friends. Leidy and Marco and their sweet pups were a pleasure to meet and were always responsive to our questions for recommendations.

I have been to many Airbnb's around the world and there have been a handful that make me feel like heaven on earth. This is absolutely one of those places. The view is ASTOUNDING!! The home itself is so cool. The owners seem absolutely lovely as we got to meet them in person as they help you check in. The details they accounted for are impeccable. I would live here forever if I could. If you stay here, you will NOT be dissapointed. Sooo much to do in and around Jaco as well which is a relatively quick drive down the mountain. Rqncho Shadday, the restaurant very nearby this place is so nice as well. My family and I loved every single second of our stay here. Please also know the work they would have had to put into this place is immense to create the dreamy space they have. Absolutely loved the stay so very much!!! 20 out of 10 stay!!!

La cabaña es preciosa, el clima de montaña y el lugar muy tranquilo, la vista a la ciudad en la noche nos encantó. Kevin en todo momento fue muy atento🫶🏼 20/10 la experiencia!

Alojamiento hermoso, con vistas increíbles. Desde que llegas rodeado de hortensias. Tiene unos jardines maravillosos.Todo en excelente estado. La cabaña es hermosa, bien diseñada. Tiene un enorme ventanal que te permite ver desde tu cama todos los jardines. Es muy segura, tienes mucha privacidad. Camas y almohadas súper cómodas. Muy bien ubicada cerca de gasolinera y tienda de conveniencia, parque del Volcán Poás y a 40 minutos del aeropuerto. Es una joya. Lo recomiendo mucho. Y a propósito tienen perritos muy amigables en la propiedad son hermosos y de repente te van saludar

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The view was absolutely breathtaking — right in front of La Lucha, which made for a peaceful and scenic backdrop. The cabin was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, which was fully stocked for cooking our own meals. Carolina was an excellent host — so kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature!
