My husband and I had a little mini vacation here and loved Rancho Pines! The neighborhood is peaceful and the backyard is absolutely stunning. Hosts were friendly and communicative. Overall would suggest this for a couple/ little family!

Beautiful place to stay. Stunning views and amazing home. The road up was surprisingly steep and bumpy. I think a low car would have had trouble getting up. The door was a bit tricky to close. But everything was explained and described perfectly in Laurel and Steak’s instructions. I’ll 100% want to return back

The cottage has all you need to enjoy the beautiful desert surrounding close to the park, with zero noise&light pollution, exactly what we were hoping for!

This place was a great stay to stay off the grid. It was close enough to town and the national park, yet far enough to enjoy the silence of the desert and the clear night skies. The cabin is a perfect combination of comfortable and rustic. The newly renovated bathroom allowed for some refreshing showers after spending the day under the sun. The property has a cowboy tub to cool off during the day and a hot tub to relax in the evening. The firepit was a really nice way to end our desert nights. Ryan is an excellent host: was responsive and clear in communications, and gave very detailed instructions on how to arrive (which is helpful considering that you’re driving in the desert and GPS/Google Maps struggle when there isn’t great service).

This cabin was super peaceful & private since it is not directly on the street. There are steep stairs to get to the property which we didn’t mind. Everything was as described & we would definitely book again!

We had a lovely stay at Huck’s Joshue Tree house, picturesque and relaxing location, surrounded by the mountains and desert foliage. Kitchen was spot on, we were able to make breakfast both days and sit outside with the jackrabbit’s. Bed’s were very comfy and easy to sleep. The layout of the property was also great, including the parking. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere in the Joshua Tree area!

After many days on the road, we welcomed Syed’s place as a spot to relax and refresh. The view was amazing with awesome sunrises and sunsets. It was very private and peaceful. The home was equipped with everything we needed, including a portable washing machine! Syed was a very attentive host, responding quickly to our questions. I would definitely recommend his place to anyone.

A nice and private place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was cozy and beautiful. The views were great. Larry was also very responsive, especially when we had questions. Overall, he was a wonderful host. Will definitely keep this listing in mind for future stays!

One of the most peaceful places we've stayed recently. Loved every part of it. The drive West towards Joshua Tree was also awesome.

What a special and beautiful spot this was! It surpassed our expectations, in particular the artistry of the interior and exterior design. This was far beyond a basic rental property, you can tell folks put love, care and character into each stylistic choice! All amenities were fantastic, hosts responsive, peaceful and quiet surrounding areas — absolutely no complaints.

The place was nice and clean. Maya has everything for you to cook, shower and sleep. Just bring your groceries 😉 The sunset, you can't really see it because of the houses, but the sunset was beautiful 🌄 I definitely recommend her place.

Cabin was exactly as described. Very comfortable, spotless, sublime desert location. Loved the outdoor shower!

This house is a sanctuary. I definitely want to return for a private retreat. The deck looks out onto the forest and rolling mountains. The beds were comfy and amenities were great. Very comfortable and nicely designed.

Lauren’s cabin was the perfect weekend escape. The views were just as stunning as the photos, and the cozy interior made it feel like a home away from home. It’s in a great location, just a short walk to the lake, which made everything super convenient. After a day of hiking, soaking in the jacuzzi was the perfect way to relax. Lauren was an amazing host—friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely love to come back!

The cabin was exactly as described. Justin was very communicative. It rained non-stop one of the days we were there but we still enjoyed having the curtains and blinds open watching little birds come on occasion also the surrounding views were beautiful. They have board games, coloring and painting materials. We enjoyed our stay there it provided everything we needed and again very cute and cozy cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin nestled in the evergreens. The place was clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable and easy. The backyard was a literal forest with available hiking trails and the neighbors were very quiet, its was very peaceful. The location is as convenient as you could possibly want, a few minutes drive to lake Big Bear and very close to Big Bear village where you can shop and dine. Most importantly Jake was communicative and responsive. Overall we would highly recommend this place and would gladly return for another stay.

Lulu’s place was such a cozy and peaceful getaway! 10 out of 10! She was very welcoming and you could feel the love she puts into providing her guests the best possible stay they could ask for. Thanks Lulu, see ya soon.

Jose's stay has been my favorite airbnb to stay at. The place was super clean and cozy and had everything we needed to cook meals while there. The location was perfect. So peaceful and calm and a 1 minute walk to the lake. We were also close to lots of hiking and outdoor activities. We would love to stay again.

Gina was extremely flexible and friendly throughout the whole experience! It’s a perfect spot if you want privacy and a good retreat from the busy world. I’m a tough rater and confidently say this place was a 10.

I can’t say enough good things about our Memorial weekend stay at Ben and Caitlin’s Big Bear cabin! I have stayed in air bnbs throughout several of my travels both within the US and in Europe, and this is one of, if not my favorite, places that I have stayed in! Everything was as shown in the photos and even better in person. The place was very clean, and Ben and Caitln were very responsive and helpful with the few questions that I had before and after our visit. I am a lover of homes, architecture and interior design, and I really appreciated how their home was furnished and styled w decor that was appropriate for the era in which the cabin was built. When I travel, I love an authentic feeling in my surroundings, and this was such a great cabin to feel right at home in Big Bear! I want to visit Big Bear again soon just to stay in this great cabin. I highly recommend Ben and Caitlin’s Big Bear Basecamp home if you like an authentic California mountain home feeling and great hosts! :)
