Beachfront holiday rentals in Samar Island

The place was good for our stay. There is a few things that could be fixed. But over all we are pleased. We decided to stay in Samar for a few more nights also.

Just the right amount of peace and quiet.Beautifully kept surrounding. There's always somebody from the management to assist with your needs.

We grateful to be the first booking for airbnb. The listed amenities was all included and we were thankful there were other free things like crystal kayak as well. For the price, I’d say it was worth the stay in Makati Island. Caretakers and staff were also kind, responsive, and approachable. We already recommended the place to other locals and tourists. Definitely one of the highlights of our Samar Trip. Wish to be back soon <3

My second stay at the Chateau and the place was perfect for my needs. Bill was very commutative with me at all times, even informing me of the planned power cuts in the area. The staff were excellent and always very helpful, when I bought a group of 18 for swimming, food and Kareoke they coped very well. ( thank you Wendy a goid time was had by all ! ) Bed and pillows super comfy, air con ok, restaurant and facilities excellent. There is now a new set of proper steps to the beach with handrails which is a great improvement. You will have the beach to yourself and perfect for a morning swim ! The location is 20 minutes from town in beautiful quiet surroundings away from the noise. Trycycles pass all day for around 30 pesos will take you to Calbayog Town. I will definitely return and would highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing stay.

The owner has a nice collection of art from around the world. I especially liked the decor throughout the house and the use of color and natural woods.

The place was serene and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing staycation. We had breakfast overlooking the beach by sunrise, and walked on the beach by sunset. We didn't swim on the beach because of the jellyfish, but we were able to enjoy the pool with the sound of calm waves at the background. Our room was also clean and spacious. Disney+ in our room and cable in the shared living room were available and working. Ms. Kat and her family were very kind and hospitable. They offered us different kinds of food, and even had us taste torta, a delicacy in Samar. Ms. Kat was also very helpful in giving directions, and arranging tours and transportation for us in Tacloban, Leyte, and Basey, Samar. The caretakers were also very pleasant and assisted us in getting a van back to Tacloban on our last day. We truly enjoyed our stay as it felt like a home away from home. We hope to be back with our families in the future!

A beautiful location, incredibly peaceful and welcoming. Raffy was a fantastic host who looked after our every need. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be there for us when we needed. He was knowledgable about the area, escorted us when we went into town, and organised trips and travel whenever it was required. Possibly the best host I have ever had and probably ever will have on Airbnb! The views from the cottage in the morning and evening are wonderful, and everyone we spoke to that lived nearby were friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the beds were comfortable. A perfect start to our trip to the Philippines, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

It is my favorite place to stay in this 1920s Hawaii. He hires the friendyest people around and treats them great. It makes for a very great atmosphere to be around.

I booked this place for my parents and youngest brother’s vacation in Samar. Christian’s place was easy to find and from my family’s point of view, he is a very kind, accommodating, and hospitable host. The place is nearby beaches and resorts too! It has hot and cold shower and the masters bedroom is very comfortable.
