Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Salon-de-Provence

This is truly the absolute best spot to stay in the Luberon. You walk outside your door and are literally just steps to an incredible boulangerie, coffee spot, restaurants, history, and scenery that is awe inspiring. The decor was stunning. This is the rare AirBnB that is better than the pictures- and they were great already! We loved closing out the day with a glass of rose’ on the balcony watching the incredible scenery. The cold plunge pool was such a lovely experience- we are converts! Denis provided exceptional hospitality - he checked in to make sure we had all we needed and was such a treasure. He went above and beyond on his host duties. Our family all agreed this is the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in. It has so much character- you feel like you are in a castle- but with modern conveniences like laundry and a great kitchen! If you are even considering this place, book this special home! What a gem of a place and hosts! We traveled to quite a few places during our 2.5 week trip through Europe, and this was by far our favorite stay. Located in the Luberon Valley in the medieval town of Ménerbes, Provence, you only had to look outside of your window to see the vibrant purple shades of the blooming summer lavenders and lavandines. The stay was well appointed with everything you’d need, and the private courtyard provided breathtaking views of the valleys and nearby mountains. The town and stay are rich in history - you’ll enjoy learning about it from hosts Maria and Francois, who are absolutely delightful. A beautiful breakfast of local fresh fruits, pastries, eggs and yogurt was provided, which gave us enough fuel for a long day of walking and sightseeing. My favorite part of it all were the conversations we had with Maria and Francois over breakfast - they’re quite charming and funny; we exchanged stories of our lives and travels. Highly recommend this stay!

Petite semaine en famille qui c’est très bien passé. Le logement correspondait entièrement à nos attentes, très agréables avec la piscine, la véranda et le jardin. Céline à été très accueillante, était très réactifs et conciliante sur les modalités d’arrivé et de départ. A l’occasion, nous relouerions avec vous sans problème et avec plaisir. Frédérique a été à l’écoute de nos besoins . Le lieu est magnifique , situé à proximité des endroits a visiter . La maison est typique de la région , offrant tout le confort . La piscine , agréable , pour se rafraîchir . Un endroit proche de tout , mais calme . Nous avons passé des vacances de détente , grâce au merveilleux jardin .

Lena & Jean-Claude were fabulous hosts, very helpful & friendly but also discreet. The cottage is super, well equipped & very comfortable - the pictures do not do it justice! A/C in the bedroom was much appreciated! We loved the pool area & outdoor kitchen, & enjoyed barbecuing on the plancha. St Victor la Coste is an unspoilt, un-touristy Provencal village with a good bar/restaurant & boulangerie and great views from the ruined castle a 20min steep walk away. Easy journeys into Avignon, Arles, Uzes & to Pont du Gard. We loved our week in this beautiful cottage & hope to return. Merci Beaucoup Lena & Jean-Claude!

We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! Loved the pool, morning bike rides and the proximity to many points of interest in Provence. The garden in well-maintained, we loved having 2 tables to choose from based on where the sun was. The kitchen is well equipped, we ended up cooking at home because the ambiance was just perfect!

What can I say? Absolutely the best experience using Air BNB with Brice as our host. He greeted us upon arrival, carried our bags to the 3rd floor and showed us the apartment and how everything functioned. He left us some fruits, drinks and snacks to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. His place was spotless. The unit is recently renovated and located no more than a 5 minute walk to Aix Historic district. The unit also has parking which is rare in Aix. Would highly recommend his place to anyone coming to Aix. He also met us when we checked out and offered to take our bags down for us. Just an absolute classy person. Lovely apartment in a very central and convenient location in the old city. Apartment was big, and rooms were well sized. We had a lovely stay and would recommend!

Logement très agréable au sein d'une ferme bien sécurisée. L'endroit est calme et paisible. Très propre et bien équipé pour l'arrivée (café, pâtes..) Joséphine est très réactive et nous a communiqué toutes les indications pour accéder au logement. Nos échanges ont été très agréables. Tout était conforme à nos attentes. Je recommande.

Julie was so kind to assist me with finding transportation during my busy work weekend. The place was very clean and just as beautiful as the photos. As the other reviews mentioned, the kids next door are super loud but that is at no fault of Julie. The best part about this flat is that it’s right across the street from the train station which was super convenient and I was able to walk to the grocery store just down the street. Thanks again Julie!

The apartment design is wonderful as is its location on the top floor. The soothing colors and linen textiles make it feel luxurious! And the light and views are exceptional. There is a 1.5 hour loop walk you can do to Cadenet which we did each morning for coffee. Caroline is helpful and left welcome gifts we enjoyed. You can tell they have put their hearts into the place.

Apartment was great. Very nice to have an outdoor terrace. Centrally located to Centre Ville, SNCF Gare Aix and Cours Mirabeau. Only downsides are low air conditioning in living area and lots of stairs if carrying large suitcases but this information is shared in the listing so not a surprise to us. Otherwise great apartment and responsive / helpful host. Would recommend a stay here.

Great location! Easy walk to the city waterfront. Gated parking right at the complex. Jean-Luc was so nice and accommodating with check-in and check-out. The apartment exceeded our expectations. The view is phenomenal! We will definitely return! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Logement propre et conforme à la description. Appartement les pieds dans l'eau, la plage est située en face. Parking à l'arrière très pratique. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Mathieu et recommandons ce séjour.

Wir würden 10 Sterne vergeben, die Wohnung ist toll, die Lage der Vera da über dem Fluss, die Terrasse am Fluss gibt eine natürliche Klimatisierung an heissen Tagen, am Abend ist die Stimmung besonders gemütlich mit dem Plätschern des Flusses, den sich darin Spiegelungen Lichtern von Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. Im Herzen des viel besuchten Städtchens, wo abends die Ruhe einkehrt. Dann der bequemer Privatparkplatz und nachmittags unter den Platanen am Fluss im grossen Privatpark sitzen und ein Buch lesen. Wunderbar. Wir können die Wohnung unbedingt empfehlen. Denis war immer erreichbar und hat uns den Checkin bestens ermöglicht und viele Tipps gegeben. Er ist sehr nett und seinen Gästen gegenüber aufgeschlossen. Danke Denis für alles!

Wir haben eine tolle Woche in Gwendolins schöner und gepflegter Wohnung verbracht und uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Die ruhige Lage in Laufnähe zum Vallon des Auffes und vielen schönen Bademöglichkeiten ist perfekt. Wir haben schöne lange Abende auf der traumhaften Dachterrasse verbracht und wären am liebsten gar nicht abgereist. Gwendolin war immer super zu erreichen, flexibel und hilfsbereit. Wir würden die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen und jederzeit wiederkommen.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour, le logement est idéalement situé pour visiter le centre de Marseille à pied, du vieux port jusqu’au stade Vélodrome (pour les bons marcheurs) Pour les moins sportifs, bus et metros à proximité (un coup de coeur pour la pâtisserie « Oh Faon », à deux pas de l’appartement, qui a transformé nos p’tit déj en purs moments de bonheur) L’appartement en lui même se mérite (4eme sans ascenseur) mais une fois dedans, il respire le calme les vacances et le ciel bleu au dessus des toits de Marseille. On s’y sent vraiment bien (malgré quelques détails perfectibles comme changer la chasse d’eau ou la box tv qui reboote sans cesse) Quand à notre hôte, Ilmira nous a accueilli avec bienveillance et gentillesse, elle nous a donné simplement toutes les instructions et conseils pour passer un bon séjour. Parfait. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.
