Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sala Dan

We absolutely loved staying at Deborah’s place in Sala Dan, from start to finish it was a great experience. Deborah was very quick to reply and assist with a seamless check in, and then the property itself was fantastic. Spotlessly clean and the views of Lanta were incredible from the verandah outside. The property is a bit set back from the Main Street but this made it even more peaceful and was easy to navigate down on foot or with scooters! Highly recommend this place for a group of friends or family, the separate annexe provides extra privacy for those who need it!

We stayed at Anna’s house for 3 days. The house is nestled without the local community of Sala Dan and the neighbours were super kind and helpful. Location is close to a lot of dive shots in the community. The house features a very elegant design. Will def come back for my next visit in Ko Lanta. Thanks for everything Anna Kurt & Friends

We enjoyed our one month stay in this villa. You can hang around outside in an open space and the place don’t get hot during the day. It is very private and quiet with great pool in the area. For cooking daily kitchen facilities would need an upgrade. Everything i requested was kindly delivered. You need to watch out monkeys which try to steal food from kitchen if door is open. The villa was absolutely perfect. Exactly as shown on the listing. There are good restaurants nearby and the nearby beach is easy to access. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend this place to other travellers. Jenny was very helpful, understanding and responsive. 10/10!!

My stay at this airbnb was great. the property is beautiful, the views are amazing. The home was clean and the host was flexible with check in and check out. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here for a month. The apartment was clean and spacious. It came with everything I needed. There was a large balcony to sit on too. The Wi-Fi was good and super fast (The tests I did ranged from 60-250 mbps over the month). There's a small kitchen outside that you can use as well. The apartment was cleaned each week, and the fridge was filled with water. It's in a quiet area. There is none of the party noise that you will get in the beach areas. You can hear your neighbour's TV and the call to prayers from the mosque across the street but that's the only noise. The apartment is off the road in a "green area" - you're surrounded by trees and pass cows on the path to the apartment. There is nothing much of interest near to the apartment, so you really need a bike. But you really need a bike for the island anyway. It's 5 mins to the beach/night market. There are a few small shops across the street and a laundry 100 metres down the road. Ake was very friendly and helpful.

Words cannot describe how incredible our stay was. Pete alone was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had! He was so responsive and had so many amazing recommendations, a true local guide. There was a slight plumping issue in our room and he upgraded us to the most breathtaking villa. Pete was very caring and attentive to our needs and made sure we were looked after properly. Nancy, the cleaner, was also the kindest soul and so helpful. I cannot recommend Pete’s airbnbs enough. Koh Lanta was so welcoming and we met so many special people. the hospitality was great. the room was as described and clean. it is possible to rent scooters and excursions directly with Sofiya. also wash your laundry. the beach is a 5-minute walk.

Super nice apartment with two balconies, the big one was perfect to hang out on! The location is quiet and everything was fresh and well-equipped. The bathroom felt luxurious and the kitchen had everything we needed. Plus for the rooftop pool, so lovely! You really get value for your money, highly recommended.

We had an amazing month-long stay. The house is clean, has great WiFi (perfect for remote work), and an incredible sea view with the most beautiful sunsets. Just 10 mins to the beach — we loved Prae Ae and the coffee at Escape Cafe. Oliver is a fantastic host: super helpful, communicative, and even drove us to pick up our bike. Grateful for the early check-in, late check-out, and the beers in the fridge — such thoughtful touches. The friendly house dog kept monkeys away and was a sweet presence. Note: the hill is steep, so be confident on a motorbike. Monkeys can be around but weren’t a problem. Only the bedroom has A/C, and April was hot — just something to be aware of. Overall, this place is excellent value and we’d love to return!

My partner and I are on a several month long trip around Southeast Asia and this spot was a perfect place for us to relax during our stay in Ko Lanta! We love cooking while we travel and the apartment has all of the home amenities we are used to, from simple things like a cheese grater, vegetable peeler, basic cooking seasonings, a full sized fridge, AN OVEN (we haven’t had a place with an oven since we started our trip two months ago) and a grocery store nearby we were able to make our meals with ease! The washer on the property was a total bonus as well (since we’d been traveling for quite a while already)! Scott and Nong are also wonderful hosts! They got us situated with a transfer from the ferry dock and handled all of the motorbike rental details ahead of time so check in and check out were a complete breeze! Would 11 out of 10 recommend this spot to anyone visiting Ko Lanta, great hosts, great location, great price and a WONDERFUL apartment! We definitely intend to return!

When we arrived there was a problem with the original apartment we were going to stay in, so was upgraded to a beautiful apartment with beach views. Jonas was very quick to apologise and make sure we were happy with the changes. The new apartment didn't have a washing machine, but they were very happy for us to use a different one in the building. The apartment was one of the nicest apartments we've stayed in and just a stone throw away from the beach. There were local restaurants within walking distance, and the newly renovated pool was an absolute dream! Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to the COVID-19 situation (Jonas was a huge help during this time and really went out of his way for us). The location was perfect, and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful get away in Koh Lanta!

Perfect stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. Is exactly like the photos. Nothing more needed to say. It was beautiful. Drinking water provided which was a nice touch. Only slight thing was the paying for electricity and water at the end of the stay. We stayed for 5 nights and our bill was 2400 baht (£60) which seemed a bit steep, but to be fair we know nothing about the cost of these amenities. If you are going to koh lanta, you should 100% stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was large, had a nice view of the pool, partial view of the sunset/water and had a large patio with comfy chairs. We appreciated the daily water and access to the pool. The location is peaceful and close to many restaurants and the beach. You have to walk up a slight hill but it’s short and once you get to your room the AC will quickly cool you off. Our host was responsive with any questions we had and even asked if we’d like to switch rooms and move to the top floor. The staff are very kind and helpful. Some downsides were that taxis and Tuk Tuks drop you off/pick you up at the bottom of the hill. We didn’t keep our doors open, quickly closed them as we came in/out but a lot of pesky mosquitoes still got in. It was a nice quiet building (3 floors with 5 units on each) but we always heard the people above us walking which was quite disruptive, especially when we were trying to sleep. We would be happy to stay again!

Safina's place is just the best place I've ever been during my travels. she treats her guests as family. we had an amazing time at her place.

Quiet clean and by the beach as well as food

really good apartment, perfect for families with children. Close to the beach, however, you had to walk 100 meters to the right on the beach, as the beach just below the front filled with rocks. The only downside was that there were no pool towels, as promised, nor could they be provided during the 17 days we were there. The power is EXPENSIVE so please be aware. We didn't use very much air conditioning and we paid 2500 bath for the 17 days.

I was able to stay so comfortably during my stay. I hope you come again and rest comfortably. ^ ^

Once again, the Blue House for us has been the perfect setting for months of stay. The Blue House is well equipped for longer stays and if anything is missing, Yanitha is both English speaking, helpful and caring. The house, where you have the upper floor to yourself, is located in a lovely peaceful setting, and the promise of the landscape there is both airiness and views, and still only a less than 10 minute walk to the beach and beach life in Kantiang. Five stars from us.
