Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Saint Lawrence River

I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

A very pleasant place in the countryside that gives another aspect of Canada. Lorelei and David are very friendly hosts. We highly recommend breakfast.

John was a lovely host, and the apartment was wonderful. The location was a great starting point from which to explore the surrounding area. Super peaceful, and the bed was so comfy. At night, you can see the stars through the skylights, which was great. The place had everything needed for a short stay, would definitely recommend!

Wow, just wow. What a gorgeous place, perfect for my 3-day solo writing & business planning retreat -- perfect for solo but it really does sleep 6! It's spacious, airy, & as clean as you'd expect when you're asked to remove shoes downstairs. It's really well organized, so it's easy to find everything, esp in the kitchen. Janice & Garry were easy to reach, often responding within minutes, & were super-friendly and helpful. Within minutes we were chatting like old friends. They've done an amazing restoration of the church, designing around original architectural elements. The loft has (literally) cathedral ceilings, with original beams & joists painted bright white, all the better to reflect sunlight pouring in from the deck. Original artwork is tastefully displayed throughout, adding special warmth & interest. The climb to the bell tower is an adventure; the reward, a jewel of a meditation room, with floor-to-ceiling windows & panoramic views of river & forest. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the cottage was beautiful we weren't ready to come back we loved it so much... it was a ladies 3 night stay away, we will defiantly be back.... The view was gorgeous and the hot tub is amazing... Elaine was very responsive to my messages... nothing bad to say at all... everyone should try this place out.... very peaceful but still have small shops around and restaurants... thank you Elaine you were super as a host...

Words can’t properly express how peaceful this location is, and what amazing hosts Victoria and George are. I was there for a quiet few days with my dog, and Victoria and George made it the most comfortable and serene experience. I recommend enjoying a lovely homemade lunch at the restaurant/post office/general store in town, then coming back to a fire that George creates for you, in their well appointed living room. Enjoy the sauna, reading room, and views, and experience a get away like no other. I’ve already secured a return trip in a few months!

We loved our stay in the North Barn. Paul and Jane were the best hosts! The barn was very comfortable, had everything one could need, clean and really nice! Paul had a list of hikes and color coated them on a map which was very helpful and a time-saver! They had a basket of some food items upon arrival for us which we enjoyed. They both were very kind, helpful and available if we had any questions. We highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Maine and would without a doubt stay there again if we are able to return to Maine. Mark & Laura Al & Joan

This was my 4th time staying at Richard's place. He is a wonderful, friendly host. He has a well-stocked kitchen with all the cooking utensils one could possibly need, which I truly appreciate. Beautiful wooded location on a rural mountain road. I hope that I will have the chance to stay at Richard's place and ski Stowe many more times in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend. We have two young children and this was the perfect couples getaway. The Airbnb was so quiet and cozy. We slept so peacefully after long hiking days. Sue is an amazing cook and breakfast was delicious! Early hikes and travel plans didn’t allow us to always eat in person, but Sue and Eric thoughtfully prepared delicious baked goods and fruit for us. They were quick with communication and extremely organized. Everything was very clean too. I would stay here again and hope to in the future when we are back to visit Acadia.

Linda and Ted are very welcoming hosts and have a beautiful home. We had a great weekend and would definitively consider going back.

This is a 5/5 Airbnb. It was lovely to stay at Bill and Paul’s place! There was everything we needed for our stay in this lovely historic two storey mansion. Coffee available to guests and fresh muffins baked each morning, what’s not to love!. Ellsworth is a lovely town and not too far from the beautiful Acadia National Park. I would stay here again.

Even though I had been to Acadia area several times, I never realized what a sweet town Southwest Harbor is. This is a prime location for anyone wanting access to the national park. It's a relief to stay on the "quiet side" of the island. This accommodation is amazing for its value, roominess, hospitality, cleanliness, and ease of parking. Carol provides a lot of tips regarding local "must-sees" from the point of view of someone who really knows the area. She has thought of everything that will make your stay comfortable and convenient.

We had a really nice stay at Jody and Geoffs! We were a bit early in Gananoque because we had to catch our cruise and were able to check in early, which was very nice. The accomodation was clean and super cozy, we felt right at home. Also the breakfast was insanely delicious, thank you Geoff :)

Nancy is a warm and welcoming host and her beautiful home is nestled in a peaceful, tranquil New Hampshire community. The spacious wraparound porch is a perfect place for lounging and enjoying views of the lovely flower gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Nancy and her daughter, Lindsay, as well as getting to know their sweet family dogs, Beau and Marley. Our guest room and private bath were clean, spacious, and very comfortable --we felt completely at ease and well-rested throughout our stay. Each morning, Nancy prepared a scrumptious and beautifully presented three-course breakfast and she graciously accommodated our dietary requests. We had a truly enjoyable stay and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Sally was so nice and very attentive throughout our stay!! The homemade breads, muffins and cookies were an added treat! Definitely recommend staying with Sally if you’re ever in the area and looking for a place to stay!!

Great stay! The house itself is very cool. The area is great. We borrowed bikes, which was such a fun way to get around and explore. Really excellent all around.

What a beautiful space! Such an easy spot to put our trailer ! The grass was pristine and so clean ! No dirt in our trailer at all . The hosts were so kind and friendly . We shared the space with their bunkie and we could barely tell they were there ! They have both spots positioned in a way where it still feels very private ! The boat was free to use and we had a nice sunset ride followed by a lovely campfire with a great view Of the lake !

Margaret was fantastic and we enjoyed visiting with her in the mornings while drinking our coffee. Breakfast was fabulous every day and Margaret went out of her way to provide delicious food that everyone liked. We loved our visit here!

This was such an incredible place to stay! The location was perfect if you are looking for a secluded oasis with stunning views. It was in such close driving distance to delicious food, coffee, and activities. The home was very clean and inviting, and had the perfect setup for our group. Would definitely stay there again.

Eric was really thoughtful and prepared everything we needed. The coast here is great for a walk and it's easy to get to the ferry terminal. Thanks to Eric and his dog Aslan for a great two days.

This is a beautiful place for 12 people to gather and celebrate. We filled the house with love, joy, and music. Tracey is responsive and helpful. Fantastic!

We spent 2 days at Laetitia and Dono's and wow it was amazing! Everything was perfect, the room, the place, the welcome, the breakfast, the environment... if you need to disconnect, this is the place to go! We were with other travelers and we had very nice meetings, we will come back without hesitation and thank you again for everything!

We had the loveliest stay at the Bower Kip B&B. I am having a hard time deciding what the highlight was during our stay - everything was so pleasant. Carol and Roger were such gracious hosts and their home was truly breathtaking. The service and communication were top notch and everything was squeaky clean. The worst part of our stay was having to leave our beautiful weekend retreat. I highly recommend staying at the Bower Kip B&B if you're looking to treat yourself and your loved one(s) to a quiet and cozy weekend getaway with amazing service provided by the hosts. You will not regret it!
