House holiday rentals in Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x

Notre séjour a été parfait du début à la fin. Les lieux sont magnifiques. Le jardin, la piscine, le sauna, le terrain de pétanque et la maison, tout est agréable, propre et bien pensé. La literie est très confortable. Et Sandrine est d'une gentillesse ! Merci encore pour cet accueil et ce superbe séjour.

Wir, drei Paare, waren 1 Woche in diesem wunderbaren Anwesen. Das Haus befindet sich in einer ruhigen Lage, mitten in der Natur! Die Inneneinrichtung des Hauses ist Stil.- und Geschmackvoll. Eine Augenweide !!! Die große Terasse mit der Außenküche ist zu jeder Tageszeit ein Treffpunkt für gesellige Stunden. Die Woche ist viel zu schnell vergangen ! Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir länger, um noch mehr Stunden am Naturpool ( inkl. Froschkonzert und kleinem Wasserfall) zu verbringen! Merci beaucoup, liebe Philippa!

Das Haus in dem kleinen Hamau ist sehr ruhig gelegen und sehr privat. Die Natur, die Umgebung, das Haus und der Pool sind genial. Wir fühlten uns völlig ungestört. Wir hatten mit Johanne mehrmals telefonischen Kontakt. Sie gab uns viele Tipps und ausführliche Erklärungen. Ihre Mutter Nathalie mit ihrem Partner durften wir sogar persönlich kennenlernen. Ebenso den Nachbarn, ein Künstler, der uns sein Atelier (ausser Sichtweite) zeigte und der vor Jahren den ganzen Hamau wieder aufgebaut hat. Sie waren alle sooo herzlich! Wir verbrachten hier unvergessliche Ferien! Wir werden sicher wieder kommen!

Wir haben wunderbar erholsame Tage hier verbracht. Die vorbeifahrende Straße ist recht stark befahren, man nimmt den Lärm aber schnell nicht mehr wahr (und ich bin ziemlich lärmempfindlich). Im üppig bewachsenen Garten am Pool sitzend fühlt man sich ohnehin wie im Paradies, wirklich sehr schön gemacht. Alles gut eingezäunt/ von einer Mauer umgeben, so dass es mit dem Hund auch sehr einfach war. Direkt hinter dem Haus kann man schön spazieren gehen. Wir haben den Grill mit Plancha Platte, den Pizza- Holzofen, sowie die Siebträger Kaffeemaschine sehr genossen! Dank der Klimaanlage konnte man sehr gut schlafen. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst zuvorkommend und immer schnell erreichbar, wenn man eine Frage hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Une parfaite petite maison pour s’évader ! Idéalement bien placée dans les Cévennes, hyper calme, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et bien équipée. Avec en sus piscine et belle piste de pétanque … Et des hôtes disponibles, réactifs et très sympathiques !

Bonne communication avec Elisa et Alexandre et l’appartement est vraiment au calme, avec un petit jardin et toutes les commodités (climatisation, lave-linge, tv…) pour 2 personnes. Notre toutou a pu aussi profiter du jardin ce qui est un vrai plus. Notre semaine a été mouvementée mais j’ai toujours pu avoir nos hôtes par téléphone ou sms. Juste prévoir un double des clés en cas d’oubli :) Je pense y revenir si je suis encore dans le coin!

Un séjour ressourçant dans ce petit cocon, totalement conforme aux photos, et détente assurée en toute discrétion grâce au jacuzzi. Des hôtes charmants et chaleureux qui nous accueillent avec une grande gentillesse et une bouteille de rosé bien frais dans le frigo 🙏 Nous avons passé de très bons moments dans ce gîte et recommandons chaudement ce choix qui nous a ravi pour cette parenthèse enchantée.

🌟 Séjour absolument inoubliable à La Ruinette ! 🌟 Ce gîte est un véritable bijou 💎 ! Tout était parfait : l’accueil chaleureux, la propreté impeccable, le confort des lieux… mais surtout la vue à couper le souffle 😍 ! Chaque matin, se réveiller face à ce panorama grandiose était un pur bonheur 🌄. Le calme, la nature, l’air pur… on se sent complètement ressourcé. Le gîte est parfaitement équipé, décoré avec goût, et on sent que tout a été pensé pour le bien-être des voyageurs 🙏. Un immense merci aux hôtes pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité 💖. On repart avec des étoiles plein les yeux ✨ et l’envie de revenir très vite !

Ann ist eine anregende, interessierte, nicht zuletzt weltläufige und hilfreiche Gesprächspartnerin, deren Hinweise auf lohnende Orte, Geschäfte und Cafés jeden Besuch wert waren. Un coin de paradis ! Je cherchais à la fois le charme des vieilles pierres, de la nature, du jardin arboré et la fonctionnalité d'un logement moderne, j'ai été subjuguée, c'était parfait ! Nous avons séjourné avec nos 2 enfants de 6 et 8 ans, le rêve pour elles. J'avais peur que la piscine ne soit trop petite mais pas du tout, elle est plus grande que sur les photos, elles s'y sont amusées pendant 5 jours sans se lasser. Je loue souvent sur airbnb et je trouve rarement des pépites comme ce logement.

Als je van rust, natuur en vrijheid houdt is deze plek fantastisch. Een prachtige, diverse omgeving met veel wandelroutes zo naast de deur, maar ook verder weg. Wij hebben de regio verkent met de auto en verschillende wandelingen gemaakt met de hond. Maar terug komen was toch telkens een feestje, en kregen dan een warm welkom van Wallace, in een fijn, verzorgd en smaakvol huisje met alles er op en eraan. De sterrennacht vanuit de ligstoel bewonderd en de laatste avond een onweer spektakel als kers op de taart. Haryhanta zorgde op tijd voor de lekkere en verse eitjes en zij stond klaar er als we iets nodig hadden. Een aanrader dus en wij komen graag nog eens verder ontdekken in de Cévennes bij Harryhanta.

Super logement dans un environnement très sympa. Christian et sa femme sont aux petits soins des voyageurs. J’ai vraiment hâte d’y retourner. Un peu plus de temps et profiter de la piscine.

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

The Mini Casa is probably the most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed in! We felt at home right from the start and were able to check in a little earlier, which was very convenient for us. Célia is an attentive hostess and put local products on the table to welcome us. She had sent us helpful tips for the region in advance. Our highlight was the sofa on the top floor with a great view. The accommodation is excellently equipped and very stylishly furnished. It is located in a small village, which we liked. Many excursion destinations can be reached within 30 minutes by car. We would love to come back!
