Cottage holiday rentals in Saint Bees

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

What a wonderful spot and cottage to fully unwind for a couple of days. The cottage is set in the most peaceful and beautiful of settings, with easy access to the lake and beach area. The cottage was quirky, quaint and eclectic and we all felt at home and relaxed as soon as we stepped in. The added extra touches from Mark and Ruth were lovely and we felt really welcomed to their space. The cottage has everything you need and it made for a peaceful and relaxing few days to relax and recharge. Thanks again for letting us stay.

We chose to stay here due to its location for walking and exploring the mountains, especially Scafell Pike. The hot tub was a must as we have enjoyed the use of one every year we've been away. The cottage is stunning and the views are beautiful. Everything you need is in the cottage and the standard furnishing is high. Lisa was accommodating as we had 3 hounds. During our holiday we had a problem with the hot tub and Lisa was really helpful, responsive and advised us what to do. We would definitely come back and recommend the footage to friends and family.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place and friendlier helpful host. Kathryn was attentive and was very responsive, always friendly and helpful. This cottage is very spacious, modern and clean. We really enjoyed our time here. We are already planning when to go back. The views from the windows and the hot tub are beautiful. There is so much to do, we needed much longer to explore more areas and go on more walks. We would definitely recommend this place.

An amazing cottage to stay in. Extremely peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. The cottage was in excellent condition and we felt at home. Great beds, we all slept well! The only slight issue was the main shower didn’t have a great temperature control which made it difficult to shower as it was either too hot or too cold. Would definitely stay here again, even in the winter as it was super cosy!

An excellent cottage walking distance to the town centre. Close to pubs and shops. The property was in excellent condition and the welcome pack was very nice. Excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Clean inside with everything you need. Lots of lovely walks nearby with pubs in walking distance. Perfect base to explore the Lake District. We also had excellent communication from Rebecca who couldn’t have done more to help out!

Lovely cottage at a lovely house. Emma and Craig were super friendly. Kendal had quite a lot to offer and the house is walking distance to pubs, restaurants and supermarket.

Very convenient accomodation for exploring Dumfries and surroundings. Good communication with host . We might be back here if going to Dumfries & Galloway for a longer time.

We had an amazing 2-night stay at Jane’s place. The house is absolutely beautiful and set in breathtaking surroundings—the photos really don’t do it justice, as the real thing is far more exquisite. The decor is warm and homely, yet spacious enough to comfortably fit the five of us. Both bathrooms were spotless—one with a shower and the other with a bathtub, which gave us the flexibility to choose. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including ample fridge space. The garden is also worth mentioning—gorgeous and clearly very well cared for. We especially loved the fireplace; it truly felt like the cherry on top of an already perfect stay. The house manual was detailed and extremely helpful, covering everything we needed to know. Jane was a wonderful host—so warm and thoughtful. She welcomed us with a lovely letter and some delicious biscuits, which made us feel right at home from the start. Highly recommended!

just got back from a 7 day stay at Puddle Duck Cottages. Great location and we had a great time. Alison is really friendly really relaxed and made us feel at home.

This was a lovely bolthole in a great location within the Lakes. Close access to the Catbells, Buttermere, Cockermouth, Keswick and only an hours drive to Windermere. The cottage was beautifully decorated and felt very cosy. The back garden managed to contain our spaniel who has a tendency to find escape routes, and our toddler adored saying hello to the neighbouring sheep each morning. We’d 100% recommend and hopefully will be back again soon!

Fantastic place to stay! Peaceful & quiet, yet still so close to the centre of Keswick. We had a great 4 nights spent hiking in the day, and enjoying the local pubs/restaurants/bars at night. Would absolutely recommend! ⭐️

Perfect cottage for our family of 4 - cosy, well equipped, central & very clean. Just what we needed for a long weekend to continue our exploration of the Wainwrights. Keswick is a lovely and lively little town - surrounded by beautiful scenery, full of restaurants (very busy though so booking is highly recommended in most places) & great for shopping outdoor clothes/equipment!! A great Airbnb in the traditional fashion we enjoy: ie hosts live next door and greet you in person. The cottage itself is 5* and the garden a delight. Thoroughly recommend.

Booked this venue late, but it was everything listed on Airb&b. Had a great few days here, very clean, well laid out, plenty of games for the evening, in easy walking distance for everything and soo quiet. We both had a great time, and will consider this cottage again in the future.

We have just returned from a 3 day stay in Gardeners Cottage. This is our 2nd visit to this little gem of a cottage in the most beautiful part of the world. Thank you Val and Julie for being the most kind a caring hosts, and for the scones, tea, bread and milk awaiting us on arrival. The cottage was immaculate, the decor lovely and everything one needs to make a perfect holiday was there. Even nature had a hand in it with super views. My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

We needed a place handy enough for my friend to make his first ascent of Scafell Pike. Madonna 's place is well placed for that and for walking in the SW Lakes. In fact, it's in a lovely location, the Esk Valley. It's quiet, surrounded by farmland and grazing animals, handy for the coast, handy for the mountains and only a short walk from a station on the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. It's simple, clean, comfortable accommodation. Recommend !

The house was so beautiful inside and out with amazing views over the beach. Everything was clean and was exactly as Duncan described. We only stayed for a few days but it was exactly what we needed and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Lake District get away
