Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sail Bay

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb right on Mission Beach! The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the sand and perfect for a relaxing, chill vibe. The house was super clean, beautifully decorated, and very kid-friendly, which made it perfect for our family. The host, Evan was incredibly accommodating, even with some last-minute changes we had. He checked in to see if we needed anything and was always responsive and kind throughout our stay. We really appreciated the great communication and hospitality. Overall, we absolutely loved the experience and would definitely stay here again!

The only thing better than the location was the overall experience with the host! Our car battery died as we were leaving and Erin was quick to give us a jump start. Lifesaver! This place is definitely on our list to come back to!

Vanessa’s place was nothing short of amazing! The location is just unbearable. A walk to the beach/boardwalk, 5 min from Seaworld, 20 min from downtown. Near Mission beach and Pacific beach, surrounded by great restaurants. I could go on and on. It fit my family of 4 plus my mom and stepdad perfectly. We enjoyed the pool during the day and hot tub at night. The house has everything you could possibly want or need. We would absolutely stay there again and plan to!

We had a wonderful stay! The place is super modern and thoughtfully equipped – from kitchen essentials like knives, glasses, and cutting boards to beach chairs, bikes, and all kinds of gear. The bed was very comfortable, and even the sofa bed was great. There’s a nice TV, and the location couldn’t be better – just a 2-minute walk to the beach and even closer to the lagoon for jet skiing or paddleboarding. Lots of food and drink spots right outside the door. It’s a bit tight for more than 3 people, but perfect for a couple or small group, highly recommended!

This Airbnb has everything that you could possibly need and while it is a studio, it's actually roomy. There's a large, very comfortable king-size bed, but it doesn't feel like it takes up a lot of space. The couch is a pull-out bed as well, and it’s long enough to for somebody that's 5'6” or smaller to be able to sleep on it. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need including ice cube trays and a light underneath the microwave. So, it feels homey. There's a bar that has five chairs facing the strandway where you can see the glimpses of the ocean. There are plenty of plugs for gadgets. There's a closet that has all kinds of linens. Anything you could possibly need from extra blankets to extra pillows, extra towels. In the kids' room, there are bunk beds that are large enough for an adult to sleep on the bottom (5’6” or shorter). The bathroom is has nice lighting and a window that opens up the street. The patio outside has plenty of space for two to three people to sit.

The location is unbeatable!! Neighbors were friendly and we felt so safe! We loved the upstairs perch and the common area that was outside!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Diego. The location in Crown Point was absolutely perfect for us, and it was an easy walk to many fine eating places. I highly recommend Robert's place, and we will definitely stay again the next time our travels take us to San Diego.

Jasmines place is a gem! In a very peaceful area, beautiful view to walk out to every morning. The outside deck was a huge plus, very cozy. She not only gave us good food recommendations but was very flexible with our check out time. Would recommend to anyone!

This place is awesome and as described. Super walkable to the water and numerous restaurants. It's still pretty quiet inside though. Instructions were clear so they were easy to follow. Carl was also quick to respond when I had a question. Overall had a great time and will definitely be coming back to this gem of a place! ☺️

All we have to say is that we are definitely coming back to this Airbnb! Such a wonderful place and atmosphere and close to the beach plus we got to ride bikes!!! We absolutely loved our stay at Danial’s place in Mission Beach! The location was perfect. We walked everywhere or used our wheels. It had everything we needed and the bottle of wine left for my stay was icing on the cake. Thank you so much for being so accommodating with check-in and checkout ! We will definitely be back !

This place was an absolute gem. Waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to walk everywhere made our stay so relaxing. It's the kind of spot where the beach feels like your backyard and adventure is always just around the corner. Falling asleep to the ocean breeze was pure magic. All in all, a fantastic escape — we’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

A great place to stay and a great location. The place had just what we needed and was comfortable. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well set up with the basics. The bikes are a nice plus. The shower is very small!. I’m not a big person and if I was, I think that could have been hard. It would have been nice if checking in an hour early wasn’t such an expense.

We had a wonderful stay at Kim’s place in San Diego! The condo was clean, centrally located and very spacious. The gated garage was awesome, and we loved staying on an upper floor with great views. We arrived very late in the night, and Kim was kind enough to stay awake to meet us with the keys and codes. We had a great time staying there during the long weekend!

Fantastic stay and all the space we needed for a weekend getaway! The rooftop and mini golf were also great spots to hang during down time between scheduled events.

We absolutely loved staying here. The hosts were amazing, friendly and responsive. We had a detour early into our travel so I reached out to the host to see if an early check in was possible and they responded right away saying they would do their best to have the housekeeper clean it first and if the unit wasn’t ready they offered a locked storage for us to place our things in if it wasn’t ready and we could walk the area until it was ready. We got there and the place was so clean and perfect and ready for our arrival. Amazing communication with the hosts. They checked in on us during our stay to make sure we were doing ok and to reach out if they needed anything. My family and I walked to the beach each day and definitely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

A Perfect San Diego Coastal Getaway! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Carl's beach home in the Pacific/Mission Beach area, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming beach cottage. The decor is super cute, combining cozy beach vibes with modern comforts, making it feel like a home away from home. The location couldn't be better! Just a short stroll from the beach, we enjoyed daily walks along the shore and stunning sunsets. The nearby restaurants and shops added to the convenience, making it easy to explore the local scene. Carl was an exceptional host, providing us with all the information we needed for a smooth stay. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. If you're looking for a perfect beach getaway, I highly recommend Carl’s beach home. We had such a great stay at Anchors Aweigh! The host communication was phenomenal!! It was also even closer to the beach than I thought, which was great!! Easy walking distance to restaurants and bars! Only thing I would say is if you are traveling with small kids, I would recommend booking one of the second floor condos. We could hear the upstairs neighbors pretty clearly, which wasn’t a problem at all for us but could have been difficult for nap times if we brought our kids along.
