Fantastic two weeks at lavender cottage. Janie was the perfect host. Lovely food hamper on arrival and lots of little gifts throughout. Great space , very big garden, super pool and lovely cottage with all amenities. Would highly recommend

Uschi & her husband are delightful. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The pictures do not do justice to how impeccable and beautiful the house is. So much thought and care and such attention to detail with love have been poured into this little gem. From the fresh flowers waiting on arrival and the filtered water - all the little touches that are over and above. The surroundings are stunning. Spending time near the horses always feels like home. Within 10 mins you are in Bergerac with all its beauty/shops/restaurants/bars. There is nothing I would change about this place, I love it. We travelled with 3 dogs and Uschi was so accommodating. There is an amazing walk from the house to the woods where the dogs can run for hours, walking past all the beautiful vineyards. We also had a nice relax and swim in the super large pool. One of the nicest Airbnb’s we have stayed in 🥰

We had an absolutely brilliant stay with Tim and Sarah (and their lovely cats and dog!). The Old Goat House is truly something special – even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. It’s been restored with such care and character, and every detail made our stay feel relaxing and memorable. Tim and Sarah were wonderful hosts – welcoming, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with throughout. We left feeling completely refreshed and already look forward to returning one day. Highly recommend!

My family & I have just spent a perfect week at La Closerie and we all wholeheartedly echo all that was written in the very first review (March 25). There is, quite simply, nothing negative to say. Marilyne & Jeremy were the perfect hosts who could not have made us feel more welcome. Marilyne told us that their dream was to create a space where several generations of the same family could gather and create beautiful memories and, my goodness, they have achieved their dream! We truly could not have enjoyed our stay more. Blessed with beautiful weather, we spent the majority of the week enjoying time in the garden, be it by the pool, long lunches and evening meals around the table, or just marvelling at the rolling hills that surround the property. Marilyne and Jeremy write about La Closerie being a haven of peace; a refuge where one will find rest and relaxation and this is absolutely the case. Each member of my family sincerely hopes to return one day… A very special stay indeed…

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Andrew and Nicki. The property is spectacular, offering views over the stunning surrounding vineyards. The windmill has been renovated to a high standard, with a sophisticated and high quality finish to appliances and furniture . All amenities have been well considered and thought out, creating a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend tasing the selected wines on offer in the property! Thank you so much to Annie and Bernard for making our stay so relaxing, peaceful and brilliant. The house is wonderful with plenty of space inside and outside The home was exactly as described—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was ideal, plenty of nature, great walking and very peaceful Annie and Bernard were fantastic hosts: warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend their place to anyone visiting the area!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Alexandra was a responsive and attentive host, that was always happy to help when we needed it. We really felt she went the extra mile for us and it was so appreciated. The house is as the pictures represent - stunning, spacious and every little detail has been exceptionally well thought out. It’s peaceful, beautiful and blissfully relaxing. The village of Issigeac is absolutely divine and better than we could have imagined. For those with little kids, we especially appreciated the hard pool cover, which took the stress out of the pool with our 2 year old. If you are reading this review, pondering whether to book or not, just do it. You won’t regret it. It’s wonderful. We are already plotting return…
