The person greeting us and everybody we have been in touch regarding the apartment was kind and welcoming. The Loft Apartment itself was wonderful in a quiet neighborhood. Thane gave us a fantastic list of tipps for things to do and see in Detroit beforehand and a bottle of nice wine was on the table when we arrived, both very attentive and much appreciated.

I travel to Detroit often and my time in the city is time that I treasure and most of the time I am there working and have very little flexibility. For both of those things Thane's place was amazing. It's close to everything, it's on the river walk, it is in a gorgeous location, it has a grocery within walking distance, it's beautiful, hassle free and felt safe. I travel to Detroit alone and when I was needing a calm quiet space, Thane's was perfect. The kitchen was wonderful, the bed was comfy and the view is to die for. Also, iron street is something you don't want to miss. I never wanted to leave. Thane is amazing! So helpful and kind. He let me borrow his bike and I took it to slow roll, he lent me his copy of the Wild Sam guidebook and he was wonderful to be in contact with. A magnificent host. I will be booking with Thane again on my next trip to Detroit.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Thane's loft. It looks and feels exactly as pictured and really added to our overall Detroit experience. A few earlier reviews mentioned concerns with soundproofing, but we didn't have any issue with this (especially given this is a corner unit). Thane prepared a great list of recommendations for us, which we took full advantage of. The place was beautiful. The View was beautiful. The water pressure was deplorable so washing the dishes was a task. So after the removal of the dishwasher the countertop was not secured and the neighbor above was not conscientious of his noise level towards other people in the building.

This was my first personal Airbnb experience and I'm glad I found Thane' place!! I loved everything about Thane and his place! This was a last minute trip and last minute booking but Thane worked with me! In addition, I was unable to make the check-in time posted due to my late flight and Thane did everything in his power to accommodate me! Once I checked in, I immediately felt at home! The place was clean, cozy, and was exactly what Thane said it is on the website! The refrigerator and bathroom was filled with the essentials! Although I'm vegan and couldn't drink regular milk, I was surprised to see fresh milk in the refrigerator (my Driver was grateful for it). Thanks to the Vegan restaurant near the listing I was a happy camper!! I was delighted to have Tea leaves to make tea in the morning!! I live for morning cups of tea and I hate tea dust in tea bags. Good look on the tea leaves Thane! Thane mentioned that his neighbors could be a bit loud because the walls are thin but I didn't have any noise problems!! The morning sun is beautiful through the glass windows! Overall great experience, great place, great host! I will definitely use Thane's place again!

Jesse's place at the north side of Wayne State University was a comfortable, secure, clean, and ready for us to spend a couple of days in Detroit. We really appreciated getting to use Jesse's bike for Slow Roll Detroit. And it's the perfect spot to explore more of the city. Close to Fisher Center, DIA, and WSU. What a fine pad!

Jesse was an amazing host! The apartment was exactly as listed, and he was very communicative through the entire process. He would send me daily text messages to make sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Detroit.

Solid, beautiful loft space with tasteful decor. The host was very helpful and supportive via communications. The location is busy and central, but the loft itself is quiet and comfortable. It was a great environment to get work done, which I had to do on this trip.

We had a great 1-night stay at Jesse's place! It's as beautiful as pictured and spotlessly clean. Easy location for uber-ing around Detroit, and walkable to the DIA, which was what brought us to town. Jesse was super responsive to all questions and made our visit very easy. We didn't get to meet in person, but his next door neighbors were around and super friendly as well.

Zac & Rene's home exceeded my expectations and was even more beautiful than the pictures had portrayed – which I thought was impossible when we found the listing. Rene is an extremely talented interior designer and her design choices and decor throughout the house made the visit that much more enjoyable. We felt so comfortable and at home the entire time. The only downside to our stay was that it was so short.

The bed was wonderful and had many great sleeps there. The location is very convenient to all the activities that we had planned for our brief stay in Detroit. The hosts were lovely and very responsive to our questions.

This is a beautiful spacious apartment that looks exactly like the pictures. It's got plenty of amenities: a full kitchen, nice bathroom, a TV, dining and living areas, and even board games. Woodbridge is a really nice part of town. The house is about a 20 minute walk from a few restaurants, breweries, and shops (eg. Shinola). It was very clean and Zac & Renee were very communicative and respectful. PS. Taco the cat was adorable and friendly

The space was just as gorgeous as its photos! We had no problems parking or getting in and out of the apartment. It is situated on a quiet street - we loved every minute we were in the space. It was very convenient to downtown and we enjoyed exploring the neighborhood of Corktown.

The place is exactly as pictured and beautifully renovated. The neighborhood is architecturally amazing and a convenient walk to good restaurants in Midtown. I wish I had more than one night to explore Detroit. Renee gave me plenty thoughtful ideas of things to see and places to explore.

This has got to be one of my favorite airbnbs period. The place itself was spacious, beautiful and very comfortable. It was great to just hang out in the apartment and get work done. It was also a convenient location to get around the city.

First of all, the place is absolutely stunning! Don't let the slightly rough neighborhood and exterior fool you; this place is gorgeous and so well thought-out inside. We spent the first half-hour just walking around saying "wow!" They were super responsive and helpful, even though we were too busy on this trip to stop by and meet them. We will definitely try to stay again next time we go to the D!!!!!

Meghan has created a beautiful environment for her guests. I can't speak highly enough about her thoughtful touches throughout the property, and the incredible mark she's making on her community. I will absolutely return to stay at this Corktown Inn ... it's just one more thing to love about visiting Detroit!

Megan was professional and quick to respond to all my questions. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, well furnished and well appointed. However it has an odd layout with an internal bedroom, it is also between two busy roads (the noise of the air-conditioning fans drowns out most of the sound of the traffic), and the kitchen lacked some items of equipment. More for young professionals perhaps than young families. So, on the whole we felt it was slightly over priced at $215 plus a $50 cleaning fee. I guess there aren't very many people providing similar suitable accommodation in Detroit. The area was interesting, though the local trendy bars and cafe's etc all felt expensive and decadent in comparison to the rest of Detroit.

Another fabulous stay at Meghan's. The best block in Detroit - best restaurant and best cafe right below! - and an incredible loft. Can't recommend the place enough.

Holly and Fodor is a great place to stay in Detroit. In the heart of cork town, it is close to lots of things to do and places to eat. The rooms themselves are exactly as described and as they appear in the photos. So much different and so much better than staying in a regular impersonal hotel. The only unfortunate part is we were only able to stay one night

The place is beautiful and in a great location right around numerous fantastic restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other stores. You don't really need to leave the block (though you should, because the rest of Detroit is worth checking out). Highly recommended.

Kyle's loft was just gorgeous! Great hosting in absolutely great fringy yet save neighborhood. Parking is easy, and with Uber you get to Downtown area or fab food spots (such as Rock City Eatery) in less than 10 mintues. So, overall great experience ... we'll be back! :-)

Kyle's place was great and on point! We just moved from Brooklyn and it reminds me of the lofts there only a LOT bigger. Everything was exceptionally clean and had all the things you need. Also the book in the apartment had all the good/hip places to go which was awesome. And the minimalist interior felt really calming - it was a nice place to stay for work when we were away from our own place. Not cluttered like some airbnbs. Would definitely stay here again. Good location, close uber to everything. Kyle is also awesome and very helpful if you ever need anything! Also love the Amazon fire stick in the place. Makes everything super easy to watch.

Great place, great location, great value

We had rented out the entire Chaps Lofts building, 12 units, from Friday to Monday for our family and out of town friends to stay during our wedding weekend. It worked out fantastic! Kyle walked me through the check in process for each room on Thursday when we checked in a day early for 2 units. He also took the time to go over details of beds and bathrooms for each unit based on my notes taken from each Airbnb listing so I could accurately assign rooms per group. Each and every guest LOVED the lofts. There were plenty of good, quality towels provided as well as nice linens for the beds. Even with couples & friends pairing up to share units, they all felt comfortable and safe. Since my family was staying there as well with small children, safety was a concern. Kyle took time in advance of our weekend booking to meet my parents and walk them through a unit to let them know what this place was all about. He also fielded all calls / questions after that meeting from my Dad who isn't used to this type of overnight stays. Since this area is a little off the downtown area, I would definitely prepare to have a car or plan for Uber to get around. Luckily there is secure parking in which we had no problems parking cars safely over the weekend. Overall, the lofts are spacious, clean, comfortable and we felt safe there. I hope we get the opportunity to stay again sometime. They made the weekend a complete success!

Absolutely beautiful loft with an amazing view!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay, from the moment we walked in we were thoroughly impressed with the loft. It's gorgeous! My only tip for future guests would be to avoid walking around in your skivvies- There were a few men on the roof directly outside the window in the morning. Awkward. Overall we'd recommend staying in the lofts. Definitely can't beat the price!

Kyle was a very responsive host and emailed steadily through the AirBnB platform. The loft was very spacious, well-maintained and clean. The beds are fantastic. We contacted Kyle about the dim lighting for our work trip, lack of laundry detergent, a non-working oven, and a leaking Keurig. He offered some great solutions and even offered to switch us to another loft. Our rooftop balcony was undergoing repair, but there is a common rooftop area available. Parking was secure. After hours access to the loft was easy and secure. Kyle responded quickly and kindly in all instances. We'd be happy to stay here again.

We had a great time at this beautiful studio apartment. Very clean and bright space and Sarah was accommodating to all of the questions we had. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again on my next visit to Detroit!

We were stuck for a place to stay and Sarah accepted us at the last minute, which was a huge. It is an older building but the renovation is brand new and was perfectly laid out. The communication was top notch and the access the property was very well thought out as well.

Brand new spacious studious located in the heart of midtown. Loved the comfortable and quiet space, impeccably cleaned. Seamless entry process thanks to the great dial pad keys. Can't wait to repeat such a great experience.

Great stay in Detroit! This studio apartment was the perfect size, newly renovated, neat, and very clean. It was in a great location close to Wayne State, the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA), the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and some really wonderful restaurants....Slow To Go, Selden Standard, and Great Lakes Coffee. Sarah, the host was always available if I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Windsor ! The place is super clean and smells amazing ! It is close to grocery stores and the river walk . The neighborhood looks sketchy but is quiet and safe . Check in and out was a breeze . There are four rooms on one floor and one bathroom , so if you're ok with a hostel style setting then this is the place to book . Everyone there was friendly and noise was minimal . Happy travels !

Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We really liked it here. However, if you arrive after dark, you may not easily see the house number; and be sure to have Shiyun inform you in advance where the key will be located. Contrary to what other reviewers reported, I think that the food in the fridge may belong to others living there.

Shiyun has been really helpful. This was my second booking at Shiyun's place and will continue to use him when I need a place in windsor.

The lady who met us was very nice and kind. I didn't meet Shiyun. I had difficulties in communicating with the lady regarding to getting keys was not good although she was nice. I didn't get my keys until a few hours after I arrived. If Shiyun could arrange everything more properly with the lady before she/he had the trip to the U.S., my staying experience would be much better I believe. In general, I think I got what I paid. The mattress in my room was wrapped with plastic sheet I guess because every time I moved, I could hear the sound and I'm a light sleeper... Like I mentioned before, the key to fourth room was not ready when I got there... and I had to drive to the landlord's place to get the backup key ... The interior finish was ok (similar to the picture) but the structure of the house was very old. You can feel that the floor is not flat, a bit like a slope from front door to kitchen (the second floor). Overall, if you want to stay at some place just for one night, not with a high requirement and somewhere not expensive, this is the place you want. If you want to sleep well and can afford a higher price, you can find some other better places.

It was a last minute trip to Windsor for work and it's just for one night, Mary responded to my request within minutes. I got to mary place to be greeted with a beautiful welcoming smile and a super friendly attitude. Mary and her partner gave me the time and answered some of my questions about Windsor and made sure I have everything I might need, Mary's place is a perfect example for cleanliness, simply it's a home and the place to go in Windsor. I'm a host myself and I've been a super host for the past 3 Airbnb assessments for a super host and I know the drill very well and I know how hard it is to cater to guests needs, Mary should absolutely be Windsor super host for the effort she puts in. Absolutely recommended to anyone who's planing to visit Windsor.

Everything was perfect!

Mary was very prompt with replies and easy to communicate with. Lindsey and her mother Linda were fine hosts at the house. Linda manages the AirBnB on Mary's behalf keeping the place spotless and well organized. Mary's place was very lovely. We had enjoyed our relaxing evening chatting in the living room while watching TV. Linda and Lindsey were very helpful in answering our questions and shared a wealth of information about the Windsor and Detroit areas. We look forward to returning and staying with them again! Highly recommend!

The pictures don't do it justice. I mean really great home and the bathroom is so nice. Even with the top floor being a bit warm they were both so great at accommodating us. I would love to come back to Windsor. My favorite hosts, even gave us some massive cinnamon rolls which were delicious. (thank you)! Really cool down to earth Hosts and great hospitality.

Our stay was very nice. The home is clean and well equipped, and it has a nice comfortable living room to hang out in. The coffee pods are a nice touch. Just be aware that there is only 1 room with a queen size bed which is on the second floor.

Perfect if you want to go to U Windsor / Odette. Room was ok. Essentials to stay for a short or long terme are provided. But if the place were clean, it'd be so much better! Thanks for being a nice host though.

Evan's place was exactly as described. He provided us with detailed instructions before checking in, including the code for the lockbox and info on where to park. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We really appreciated having K-cups for coffee in the morning. The location was also good, right in the heart of the Walkerville section of Windsor. Our favorite restaurant in the area, Lorelei's Bistro, is located right around the corner. There are also some new unique shops, a bakery and more restaurants all within a few blocks of the rental. Our only complaint was that the bed was very hard.

This place is very close to the downtown strip in Windsor (Caesar's, etc.) and a stone's throw from the water and a beautiful view of the Detroit skyline. 100% would stay here again.

Very convenient with the lock box and great location! Close to shops and places to eat. This was our first time using air bnb and we were very happy.

Everything as shown. Nice one bedroom for a quick overnight to stay during hockey tournament with child. Clean and well equipped. One thing to note if you plan on watching TV only local Detroit channels. However, you are near a lot of nice restaurants and the brewery in Walkerville why stay in? Other parents ended up paying for overpriced hotel room that was under going some renovations.

We had a great stay at Evan's place. I would recommend this place to others.
