Had a great time in the northeast Kingdom cycling. Great area near the lake. Susan was super accommodating when we were running a little late both evenings. Would stay there again!

We arrived late but Susan waited for us for our checkin. She helped us to find a place to eat and gave us some tips for the area. The room is extremely clean and the views are just awesome. I hughly recommend Susan's place to enjoy an amazing weekend

Susan, the host was very welcoming and friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious with a bureau, a fan and heater, an armchair, and room to hang clothing. Also, the lake was very close and by the house is a babbling brook to help you sleep. Thank you!

It was a sweet space next to Lake Willoughby, Vt. Susan was very nice and accommodating. She provided breakfast and coffee for us in the Morning. There were also informative Guidebooks on Vt hikes. I would definitely recommend it.

Susan was at the door to greet us warmly. Her home was charming and comfortable, and she made every effort to accommodate us. This was my first airbnb experience, and I was impressed by how well everything, from communications to privacy and security, was handled. Susan herself was great about responding to our questions and requests in the days leading up to our arrival. We stayed only one night, but would be happy to return. The location, a stone's throw from Lake Willoughby, was both beautiful and convenient.

Susan's home is in a beautiful area right on the lake. As a host, she was extremely kind, going so far as to help us get our car unstuck from snow in the middle of a snow storm! The accommodations are just as described and very comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again -- maybe when it's warmer!

Nikki's house is clean, comfortable and super cozy! We loved it and would like to be back soon.

The Hideaway's location was perfect for all our needs. Besides being quiet and secluded, we love to icefish and it was near our favorite lakes. It was great to come back after a long day of fishing to a very warm and cozy place. Completely stocked with everything necessary, and all the comforts of home. We will definitely be returning.

Nikki was extremely attentive to our requests and very accommodating! She allowed us to check in early due to our schedule and she even made the kids homemade chocolate chip cookies! My kids loved the house (especially the loft) and if we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

This was our second stay at Nikki's place. We returned because our first stay was so good and Nikki was very accommodating. It was different with all the snow gone, but relaxing all the same. A cute vacation home to enjoy each other's company.

The Hideaway was a lovely stay. The house was neat and precisely what we were looking for for our ski trip to Jay Peak-- affordable and easy. Nikki was great with communication and answered all of my questions.

Everything was more than perfect and was exactly how it looked, was described and set up. Along with a sweet note (informing us of the adorable cat that resides at the house!), there were highly detailed directions for all things about the house and area, as well as recommendations for activities. The coziness, homeyness, and warmth of the place and area is indescribable, and there were perks to everything, such as the wonderful instruments, the outdoor tub, and the freshly made maple syrup.

The location of the cabin is remote and very quiet and beautiful. We loved this! The cabin is also very comfortable.We had a good stay! Jayson does have a well behaved cat who stayed outside most of the time.

Jayson's cabin was truly beautiful and it was clear he put a lot of work into making it a comfortable cozy place. Jayson was very communicative and offered great suggestions for activities near by. We loved Osito who was one of the friendliest cats we've ever met. It was great having him around! I highly recommend hiking Mt Pisgah, which was moderately challenging (for beginners) but well worth the effort. Jayson's property is also beautiful so I recommend taking a stroll around if you get a chance. We loved our stay and would definitely love to make another trip up someday!

This has been the absolute perfect week-end getaway! Prior to our arrival, Jayson was very helpful and easy to communicate with. He made sure to send us all the informations we needed - and even gave us some personalized recommendations based on our interests! The place itself was super cute and cozy, and offered all we could possibly need - including a piano and a cat s place. The outdoor bath tub was the cherry on top! We will definitely be back soon! ^_^

Jayson's house is a great getaway. It has a very rustic and cozy feel, prefect for getting the most out of the Northeast Kingdom experience.

We had a great time at Mad Brook retreat, this place was fantastic and Jayson was a very helpful and gracious host. We took advantage of the nearby trail to Bald Mountain summit, enjoyed the hot tub (an absolute must if you visit!), hanging with Osito the cat, and the great local scenery. Even the little dusting of snow we got (in May!?) made for some of the most breathtaking views. The composting toilet was easy, clean, and odor-free. Instructions for the wood stove were very helpful and it kept the cabin nice and cozy on the one snowy night we had. There was some off and on rain too but it was still great to read, play music, or play a game while listening to the rain on the roof. We were looking for a weekend getaway to unwind, relax, and enjoy some nature and this place couldn't have been more perfect for it.

Amazing place, easy to find and to my surprise had enough food supplies for a week. It's a truly zen place next to a stream, in between of mountains and open sky with indoor fire, awesome cat Oisie and outdoor tub (great idea) I hope some day I can build cabin just like Jason's and enjoy piece and tranquility of our mother nature.

The Little Crooked House was a great place to stay. It was bigger than it looks, but as quirky (in a good way) as described. Joanne was a great communicator, Colleen was a welcoming presence during check in. I wanted a comfortable house for a couple of days near a lake to do some work and this was perfect. I would love to go back with family in warm weather and enjoy more of Barton, the area and Crystal Lake. Highly recommended!

Joanne's cute little crooked house was perfect for our short getaway weekend. We had everything we needed and both her and her neighbour (who looked after us while we were there) were very kind and helpful.

Staying at this house was truly a perfect vacation home experience! The house is beyond beautiful. Six of us stayed here comfortably. We had everything we needed and more! The view from the deck is to die for and the surrounding area of Westmore, the lake, the woods, are so fun to explore. Alan and Pat were very accessible if we needed assistance and we would definitely stay here again.

The house was very spacious, pristine, and clean. The place is exactly as shown in the pics. Perhaps prettier. Super cleaned bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and comfy sofa. Wifi worked just fine. It’s very serene setting. Not much happening around there. A great place to unwind and relax from hustle and bustle of city life. The view from the deck is amazing. You can see some part of Lake Willoughby from the house. It is a short walk (~15 mins) from the house. The water is crystal clear. Loved it!

Home was fully-stocked, beautiful, and clean. The house is a short drive from the lake for fishing, swimming, kayaking galore. Pat did a great job keeping in touch and making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely return!

The house felt more like a home. Pat left a welcome note and included detailed information (including contact information) to make us feel comfortable. The four bedrooms and three levels made for spacious accommodations for the six of us. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed several meals on the back deck.

I stayed at Pat's home for two nights in early October with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. The house was comfortable, had everything we needed (kitchen with all the tools, wifi, gorgeous porch, etc.), and was a great base for lots of wonderful hiking and leaf-peeping. The view from the house of Lake Willoughby was gorgeous. The house felt very private and secluded - there are other houses on the road so there is some traffic back and forth, but no other houses in sight, and we could hear the cows in the pasture next door! The house would be great for a much larger group, but we just loved it and hope to visit again sometime. Thanks so much Pat!

This was One of the most amazing trips we have ever taken. The town was wonderful, small and quaint and made you feel very at home. Everyone was so friendly. The house was absolutely amazing, and had more than enough of what we needed. Bobby Joe provided us with fresh fruit English muffins and bagels along with other things upon our arrival. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. We will definitely be booking again next year.

Patty’s Place was perfect for our ski weekend at Jay Peak! The house was very comfortable for 9 of us. The big kitchen island with lots of bar stools was a great place to hang out and the grill on the back deck made dinner prep easy. There was plenty of room for all our gear and 3 cars. We’re looking forward to staying there again!

We had such an amazing time! The cottages are perfect for a lake trip and the location was great. The sunset views here are the best on the lake! Renee was very friendly and easy to contact if needed.

Our 4th of July getaway to Mountain Lake Cottages was very relaxing and peaceful. The cottage was clean and move-in ready. When we awoke our first morning, we were greeted with a gift box on our porch that included various baked goods, which was nice and unexpected. Sunday night we had a bonfire for the whole group staying there. The lake looked like something out of the fjords with the steep mountain sides sloping down to the lake. Renee was an excellent host and we will be sure to return.

Renee is most welcoming and went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. She told us about hikes and bike trails and places to go to eat. She is very attentive and was available to meet our every need. It was a spectacular stay for us with a tremendous view of the lake the famous 'fall colors'. We will most definitely come again.

It was such a wonder to find this place where time stands still under Renee's loving care. Would love to come back for a family reunion one day.

I can't say enough about the natural beauty and peace and quiet of these lovely cabins on Lake Willoughby. I wanted to take my mom to an overnight stay lakefront to celebrate her 80th birthday, and this far exceeded any expectations. Renee is the BEST host: gracious, friendly, charming, and available without being overbearing. She even had a lovely gift for my mom's birthday. The cabin, #3, is the BEST: amazing location right on the lakefront, with a breathtaking view of the sunset. The pictures and description really don't do this location justice! The cabin was immaculately clean, a huge priority for our group, charming, and with a huge fireplace, that kept us warm and smiling. The cabin reminded us of vacations of long ago, with very comfy beds, and a kitchen that was fully functional. I just can't say enough about this beautiful place, except, as the French say, a la prochaine!

We had a great time. Renee is an awesome host. Cabins are right on the lake and you can walk right out and jump in. Kitchen has everything to make some simple meals and everything was clean, beds comfortable, etc. Lots to do in the area. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the cottage with my partner and two friends, and we loved it! Great space, well equipped kitchen, lovely deck with a table and grill. Crystal Lake is gorgeous: great shared beach access, picnic tables, lounge chairs, even tetherball ;). The cottage is conveniently located, and we were at Bread and Puppet Theater (our weekend destination) in 12 minutes. (Also, though the cottage is right on a major road, the traffic is very light and didn't disturb us at night). We were also able to rent a canoe and life jackets from Bonnie. We would definitely return!

Our stay in the cabin was great! It's about 100 feet from the lake, which has a sand beach as well as a large grassy area with picnic tables and comfy beach chairs overlooking the water. Great for watching the sunset. The cabin itself was in great condition and was perfect for two people. It had a small kitchen, a living room area with big windows, and a nice back deck for eating. Our only complaint was that the larger bedroom faced the main road, so we could hear cars driving by at night. "Downtown" Barton is about a 5 minute drive away, and has a grocery store, ATM, post office, etc. Super convenient. Definitely recommend this place!

I had a great stay here with a friend. We arrived a little later than we wanted to, but Phillip was very accomadating with leading us to the camp site. It's a little bit of a walk from the parking spot to the site, so be prepared to make multiple trips if you are planning to bring alot of camping gears that you can't carry in one trip. Overall, it was a great experience being able to camp in front of Lake Crystal.

Norine went out of her way to be accessible to answer any questions. It's a beautiful place, well maintained. A wonderful, relaxing Labor Day weekend. I highly recommend.
