  • Nadine has an extremely comfortable, relaxing cottage. Very quaint surrounded by pine trees, and lake view. If you are an outdoor kind of person, this place is for you, definitely cabin feeling, loved the fireplace. Kitchen fully stocked, and beds extremely comfortable. Kayak, or sit in screened porch overlooking lake and read a book or have family time eating a meal or playing cards. Nadine is FANTASTIC at communicating and making sure you have everything you need. Will certainly return.

    Patti2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was cozy and it was a great location on the water! Nadine was very responsive and accommodating throughout. Look forward to staying again next summer!

    Tiffany2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nadine's cabin was amazing. Right on the water with a dock to launch the kayaks or swim off of. The space was the perfect getaway

    Nicholas2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I loved our stay here. It was quiet and peaceful, and just what we needed at the end of busy and somewhat challenging summer. The view was lovely, and the home was everything we hoped. Great access to the water, lovely indoor and outdoor spaces and overall an awesome value. Our first night we were lucky as it rained. The sound of the rain on the roof of the screened in porch was heavenly. Overall we slept amazing here, and it was perfect for my partner, myself and our 3 year old son. It is a rustic cabin, as mentioned in description. If you are one for fancy amenities and high end touches then this probably isn’t the place for you. If you love being right in nature, on the water and in a comfortable home, then you’d probably love this cabin.

    Lindsey2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed excellent communication with Nadine before our trip & were looking forward to getting to her place. We weren’t disappointed! It has a very welcoming feel, & we all really enjoyed our peaceful couple of days there. It is extremely well equipped with kitchenware & the beds were comfortable. There is a beautiful view of the picturesque lake from the screened balcony. We also enjoyed exploring the lake in her kayaks. Thank you very much, Nadine. We hope we can visit again one day!

    Andrew2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the peace and quiet and the proximity of the lake!! Many of the touches brought me back to my childhood - great memories - but mixed in were modern amenities that didn't take away from the rustic atmosphere. Our hostess, Nadine, was very thoughtful and made sure our experience was pleasant. We would definitely go back again.

    Larry2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I think the name on site is perfectly matched to reality - 'rustic cottage'. When you pull up the last half-a- mile of an un- paved road (very well maintained) to the parking spot arrayed in hundred- year- old pines and you open the door the serenity of the view and the wonderful clean air makes your heart go "oh yea, I made a right choice! " Then, entering the front door you have an immediate sense that your favorite grandmom was just here a second ago and she did EVERYTHING to make sure her 'favorite' wouldn't lack ANYTHING spending the weekend. Everything was clean and well arranged, yet the little clutter that makes you feel right at home and makes the space so inviting was everywhere. Some touches of antiquity, beautiful wood of the cabin old pictures, working real- wood fireplace with EVERYTHING prepared for you to 'just light the match' and of course an amazing view of the lake right through the windows, all of it created a one-of-the-kind experiences. Thank you, Nadine! I have to also mention that there were NO problems with internet or any appliances during our stay. It was JUST GREAT! We will be back for more!

Nestled among pine trees and with views of the lake it is the epitome of R&R. The cabin is family and dog friendly with an open concept main floor and 3 levels of living space. Perfect spot for large families looking to share a vacation without compromising privacy, while also perfect for a cozy romantic getaway for 2! With year round activities for the whole family, it's the perfect place to create lasting memories! 1 hour from Portsmouth & Portland & 2 hours from Boston. 10% off weekly stays!
There are 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom is situated on the 1st floor with a queen size bed. One guest room is downstairs with a futon and an attached bathroom. Two additional guest rooms are on the 2nd floor, one of which is set up for a child with adult double size bed . In addition that room includes an additional double futon mattress as well as a pack n' play if needed. There is also a pull out sofa located in the downstairs family room along with a queen size air mattress. One thing to note, although we have 3 retractable baby gates in place for easy use and to keep kids safe, the stairs are steep and small children should be accompanied by an adult. There is a $35 Fee per dog that will be requested after your reservation is confirmed. You can either leave cash by the dog treat bowl or I can request it via Airbnb (let us know what’s easier for you).
This is a family friendly neighborhood. The east side of Belleau Lake is characterized by quaint dirt roads, tall trees, and charming cottages and camps. You can park your car in the driveway and leave it there until you leave! The cabin is ideally situated; 3-5 minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach, walking distance to a corner store, ice cream stand, the post office, Cindy's breakfast place and the Blue Bay Seafood Restaurant. Food at Blue Bay is great and they have a lounge where you can play pool, watch sports or sing karaoke. Old People's Pub and Knotty Pine Restaurant and a local grocery store and farmer's market (in season weekends only) are a short drive away. If golf is your game, Province Lake Golf Course is less than five minutes away and they have a great restaurant there as well. The lake has fantastic fishing and is known for its small and large mouth bass, so bring your fishing rod and fish right from our kayaks while exploring the lake or come up and ice fish in the winter. There are also miles and miles of trails for walking, snowmobiling, biking and more... East Wakefield is ideally situated between Portland (1 hour), Portsmouth (1 hour), North Conway (45 minutes-they have a ton of shopping outlets), 30 minute drive to tourist town Wolfboro, NH and Meredith (30 minutes). Tons of shopping and restaurants galore! There is skiing close at King Pine and we are very close to the White Mountains as well. This vacation home is the perfect jump off point for all that New Hampshire and Maine have to offer.
  • Attention to detail is superb at the cabin and the hosts Julie and Mike never missed communication when we texted. Beautiful cabin inside and out. Very clean and pretty much everything was provided for us the hosts. I would definitely recommend this place because I know you will definitely enjoy it like me and my family did. Definitely a super host 🙌

    Vasiliki2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Mike's place exceeded our expectations. The home is cozy and comfortable. We appreciate their quick responses. We traveled at the end of a winter storm and felt at ease knowing the driveway would be taken care of. The wood stove was a lovely touch for a winter getaway. We loved how there was an easy-to-reach supply of wood to keep the fire burning. Our friends kept raving about how soft the bedding was! Thanks to these superhosts for an awesome trip!

    Thanh2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Julie’s Cabin was so warm and inviting! We stayed in the middle of January and despite the cold outside it was so warm and cozy inside. It was the perfect place for a friends vacation and we would love to come up again!

    Jayla2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Came here with family for a little get away and our stay was wonderful! The house was sparkling clean, and stocked with everything you would need for cooking, showering, camp fires, etc. we had plenty of space and privacy between the three floors which we really loved! Our two dogs had a blast as well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The neighborhood was also quiet and beautiful!

    Loujain2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place is amazing. We went there in winter time and it felt like we were in a winter fairy tale. Clean, cozy and it has everything what you might need there.

  • We were visiting Maine for a couple of days with our small travel trailer. Eric's place had a huge backyard that had full hookups for an RV, which was perfect for us. Location was central to the places we wanted to visit. Quiet, private area. Great communication. Highly recommend this place!

Enjoy our 200' Zip-line, Tree House & Super-Swing play area! NOT RECOMMENDED for adults who are unused to sleeping on the floor! There is no bed (the listing says 1 bed because there was no other choice). You must bring your own camping-out type bedding. There is an available mosquito net. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, a continental breakfast is provided. Please look carefully at all the photos. Please, do not bring your pets.
There is NO smoking on the property. There's a lovely stream meandering by the tree-house site, and the tree house itself is just a bit into the woods so you can dream about your White Mountain forest adventure while sleeping moments away from the main house. Usually, on weekends, a continental breakfast is included. However, during the extensive coronovirus pandemic, we will not provide this and will practice "social distancing" when we show you the space. Along those same lines, the amenities listed are located inside (except for the porta-potty) and only available when the house is not locked up.
Union Village is part of the town of Wakefield. Just down the street is Heritage Park, with a real snowplow train car and a caboose for you to explore- open on weekends during tourist season. Just beyond the village on Rte 125 is the New Hampshire Farm Museum, also open weekends during the warmer months.
  • Russ and Ruth were so welcoming, the tree house is a must try, for any ages! This was the highlight of our entire trip!

    Maia2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Russ and Ruth were phenomenal hosts! Here’s why: 1) communication was quick and clear 2) my friend and I were late due to traffic and they were very accommodating 3) the treehouse is such a cool and fun space to sleep in! Russ built it himself and supplied a mosquito net and light 4) Russ showed us how to use the zip line and swing, which were super fun 5) breakfast was delicious (I loved the gingerbread) and the conversation was fun and interesting. We met Ruth’s rescued parrot, Suzie. 6) we had access to the main house’s bathroom during the day 7) Russ and I had a very interesting conversation about tree climbing and he showed me his workshop and all his equipment 8) the little dogs Mic and Mac were so cute 9) Ruth and Russ were so nice and welcoming. I definitely want to return. Thank you Ruth and Russ!!!

    Kirsten2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and Russ are great people to meet. They take good care of you. The treehouse is a fun experience-especially zip lining out of it. Breakfast is delicious. I recommend. Thank you

    Peaceful2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice night on the tree, hearty breakfast in a nice house. The swings are really nice.

  • This was an excellent location and had everything you would expect from a treehouse stay. The zipline was a blast. Ruth and Russ were excellent hosts and were so willing to make sure we had a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Ruth and Russ were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with everything we needed and breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend! One of my favorite Airbnb stays so far!

  • We had a great time at Lucas's place. It was beautiful, clean and comfy. Nothing beats hanging out by the fireplace with great friends.

    Anna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lucas’s cottage is welcoming and cozy. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and had a great time playing board games and roasting marshmallows. We spent an enjoyable evening on the deck, grilling and watching the amazing sunset and the changing colors of the lake. We had a great foliage vacation and would be happy to stay at Lucas’s cottage again in the future.

    Mirela2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lucas & Christina’s place was clean, cozy and super dog friendly. We had beautiful weather for a great hike with the dogs up Mount Major and enjoyed playing board games and snuggling up in the evenings. View and use of the lake was such an added bonus. Would definitely recommend a quiet, cozy weekend away from it all up here!

    Cait2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our experience at Lucas’s house. The view of the lake was all by itself a treat. The house is very comfortable and secluded which is what I was looking for, and Lucas provided everything we needed, including a canoe to explore the lake, which we did. The check-in process was a breeze and so clear, that communication with the host was unnecessary — however, they still checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again.

    Michael2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! Easy access to the lake. Great house with many bedrooms and bathrooms. All around great place to vacation.

    Alex2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great! Lucas was very responsive and made sure I had everything we needed. All the extra amenities were great and even made sure we had a canoe before we arrived. I will definitely stay again next time I come to New Hampshire.

Your bed and bath are on the first floor of our lakefront home on Mousam Lake. An entryway gives you easy access to the deck with relaxing water views and frequent gorgeous sunsets. Shared space includes a den withTV, games, Keurig and futon, as well as well as a laundry room, and a separate room with small refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. The rooms are largely finished in knotty pine and wallboard. An A/C unit added to the centrally located den.
Two kayaks, a canoe and a paddleboat are available for guest use, along with life vests. Our waterfront is not suitable for swimming, but a good public beach at "the foot of the lake" is at the junction of Routes 109 and 11, which is only two miles from "camp", just across the road from Acton Trading Post. Be careful of in and out traffic in that area. If you are more adventurous, and water levels are at typical summer levels, you may want to take the kayaks out to main lake where you can swim off the sandbar mid-lake outside Hubbard's Cove. Note that there is a window air conditioner centrally located in the den.
13th Street is paved and well maintained. It's a pleasant 1.2 mile walk to the Fairgrounds. The neighborhood is relatively quiet with many year-round residents. Our home surrounded by beautiful tall pine rests on a hillside on a small cove. Hubbards Cove has a short channel leading to Upper Mousam Lake.
  • A beautiful location.

    John2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • A relaxing and scenic location. Beautiful sunsets. Super clean. And lovely hosts!

    David2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This experience was perfect for my partner and me. Carol, Paul, and their beautiful dog, Kenny, are lovely, and their guest apartment is sparkling clean and delightful. The outside decks overlooking Moussam Lake, flowers, grill, and fireplace are all lovely as well. We hope we can return next year!

    Diane2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to relax and enjoy a fabulous view of the water. The porch is beautiful... in the morning with the breezes off the lake, in the evening with the sunsets and flaming torches (if you wish). Hardly any bugs during out trip. The beds are very comfortable and the place is filled with thoughtful touches. We enjoyed our paddle boat exploration of the peaceful cove and swimming at the uncrowded beach a short drive away with its clear, delightful water. Our hosts were most gracious providing extras like firing up the grill for those of us used to charcoal grills. We plan to return.

    Diana2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The views cannot be beat. We spent most of the day on the water or by the water. Carol and Paul are very hospitable hosts. We had everything we needed in the kitchenette area and if we needed something, it was readily provided. Will definitely come back.

    Vera2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • A little piece of heaven where you will find everything you need and even more. The hosts are very welcoming and always there for our needs. I highly recommend this place.

    Judith2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Carol & Paul are wonderful hosts and really make you feel at home. This is a Beautiful spot directly on a cove on Mousam Lake - ground floor apartment - extremely clean and very comfortable. Great deck with gas grill, kayaks, canoes and tall pines! Kitchen was stocked with plates, bowls and utensils for grilling. Coffee was available, as well as little snacks such as popcorn, kind bars, etc. Highly recommended!!

This apartment is located in the heart of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. Wolfeboro is 15 minutes away with it’s beautiful New England charm, great restaurants and small town shops. Alton Bay is right down the road with boat launching and restaurants. We have space to park a boat trailer if needed. Gunstock mountain has lots to offer year round and is only 20 minutes away and Mount Major is very near for great hiking and scenic views! If shopping is what you want New Hampshire has no sales tax.
King bed, baseboard heat, wood floors, fully equipped kitchen, cozy, warm and very private.

  • This was a very nice place to stay! Very clean and well kept. Wewill go here again when we are in Alton.

  • Lois and Bill’s place was absolutely amazing and the pictures do not do it justice at all! There were small and very thoughtful touches of a fridge filled with bottles of water, half and half for the Keurig machine that they provided with various coffee and tea pods, snacks, and some card games. We thoroughly enjoyed our first air bnb stay in which we had our expectations blown away. Lois greeted my boyfriend and I upon arrival and gave us suggestions for things to do in the area along with any additional things we needed to be aware of about the space. We met Bill our second day here and he was just as generous and kind. Lois and Bill have definitely gone the extra mile in making the space feel homey and welcoming! The space itself is beautiful and everything I was looking for to celebrate my 27th birthday weekend. There is a television and two reclining chairs that are very comfy. The bathroom is spacious and lovely with several lighting options! There’s also a nice small kitchen area for cooking (which we ended up doing) and they even provided salt, pepper, and cooking oil/spray. Lois and Bill have a few pamphlets on hand of things to do in the area and places to eat which was a very nice touch. We look forward to our next stay with them and will definitely be back in the seasonal months. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

The space is very large see pictures, there is also a 24' x 24' patio with a portable fire pit for roasting marshmallows.
There are only 3 other houses were my house is. If your looking for a relaxing, comfortable setting in the fall this is it. Sitting on the deck overlooking the water with a cup of coffee early in the morning is priceless ( I've been doing it for 20 years). The wood stove warms the entire living and dining room ( house also has two 100,000 BTU hot air furnaces )
  • We had a great week at Joseph's house on the lake. We were visited by a beautiful very large turtle! We watched the Loons, and listened to the varies birds singing throughout the day. The house has everything you need and Joseph is a great host.

  • We have been visiting PRP for many years, looking for the property we’d like to come back to regularly, and finally found it! Joseph is a wonderful host, the house is in a great location and comfortable for a family, and everything is relatively updated and functional. It is exactly what you want from a canine on the lake. We are looking forward to our next visit already.

    Rachel2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Unbelievable space! Joe was a great host and we loved every minute of our vacation! The location can not be beat and our grandchildren loved jumping off the dock! The fishing was great from this spot and the water was so clean and refreshing! Joe was an amazing host! I hope we can come back again!

    Andrea2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Right on the lake. Excellent communications. Private location. Good open floor plan.

  • We just spent a delightfully peaceful week at Joe's place on Pine River Pond. Joe was very helpful in advance of our stay and the house was exactly as he described it. The access to the pond is impressive: we were happy to get up each morning and walk out to the deck and enjoy the pond as it starts to wake up each day. Access to the lake for swimming requires just a few steps and the dock is a great place for reading, docking kayaks, and diving into the pond. This was an exceptional space, thanks for Joe's hospitality and thoughtful touches; we hope to return very soon!

    Joe2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at Joseph's house on Pine River Pond for a week in mid-July. The place is beautiful and very spacious with a huge great room that allows you to work in the kitchen and still visit with your family and friends. There is a nice large deck overlooking the pond, which we spent a lot of time on, and the water is really clean. Our Lab especially loved the pond, we couldn't keep him out! The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well appointed. It has everything you would ever need. Joe was an awesome host and was always quick to respond when we had a question. We had a wonderful, relaxing week and would definitely go back again!

Wonderful newly renovated 1860 farmhouse in Wakefield, NH that is close to popular Lovell Lake and downtown Wakefield. It is on 3.5 acres and features a pond in the back yard. It is conveniently located on Route 153, 0.3 miles from Route 16 for easy access travel north and south. Fishing, Boating, Shopping, Dining, Snowmobile Trails are close. Great for gatherings with family and friends, reunions, weddings, ski weekends, or just some away time. This house is truly your home away from home.
You enter the house from the door on the covered porch. There is an open concept living room and kitchen, which is wonderful for hosting larger gatherings. It also gives extra space for you and your family to spread out offering 3 couches (one couch having a queen sleeper sofa, which is one of the five available beds). There is a large flat screen TV that has cable if you enjoy catching up on your TV shows. If not, then it's a great place to just sit and talk and relax reading a book. The kitchen offers a large Tuscan style island, full size refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee make and toaster. In the kitchen cabinets, you will find a full compliment of pots, pans, plates, silverware, glassware, bakeware and a crock pot. There is also many condiments and spices that you are welcome to use. There may even be packaged food sides if you forgot something. The dining area has a large farmhouse table with seating for six to eight. There are four bedrooms that each offer a queen bed and luxurious higher end bedding and sheets with multiple pillow options. The master bedroom is on the main floor of the house and is the largest bedroom. It has a loveseat for watching TV or a possible sleeping area for a small child. There is a full master bathroom that offers complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, toilet paper, towels and a hair dryer. The medicine cabinets do have basic medical supplies and bug spray that guests are always welcome to if they are needed. Our three upstairs bedrooms, the Lodge room, the Palm room and the Map room share a full size bathroom that has shampoo, conditioner, soap and towels. The Lodge room has cabin style decorations and also has a folding couch which folds down into a twin bed. it would be good for a child but would probably be too short for another adult to try to sleep on. A bed pad and sheets are available in the bottom section of the armoire for that. The Palm room has a queen sleigh bed palm tree bedding and décor and is very quiet and tranquil. There is a walk in closet and also a single size cot with bedding. The Map room offers a queen bed and map style bedding and decor. This room was our office but we converted it to an additional bedroom due to the fact we are getting a lot of bookings for 9-11 people. There is a washer and dryer that will be available off of the master bedroom. It is free to use and there are Tide Pods, fabric softener and dryer sheets available for guests to use. The back of the house has a wrap around deck with patio furniture and chairs. There will also be an umbrella to protect you from the sun on hot days. The yard is very large and there is plenty of space to throw a football or frisbee. You are welcome to explore the woods out back of the house as well. There is also a pond located on the property in the back yard. There are neighbors on the right side and are within close proximity. They are nice people and stay to themselves. On the left, there are neighbors, but a wooded area separates the house from theirs. There is also a house diagonally across the street. House is not located in a neighborhood where the houses are stacked on top of each other but it also not secluded by itself. Parking is available in the driveway and could accommodate about 6 cars+.
Getting to the house is very easy and convenient. We are located 0.3 of a mile off of route 16 just north of exit 18 on Route 153. There is a wonderful view of Union Meadows Pond across the street. In the back yard, there is a large yard with a small pond and crab apple trees. Enjoy coffee and Breakfast on the deck and the view.
  • Perfect location for our hockey tournament weekend. Lots of space for a large group and an easy commute to both Wolfeboro and Rochester Ice Rinks.

  • Beautiful house, beautiful location and beautiful all throughout. It’s the perfect location to get away from city living.

    Sasha2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is completely new on the inside and the feel is very rustic, but still modern. The process was easy throughout and the hosts even bought a pack n play for the house when I told them that we have a 15 month old. We would definitely stay here again.

    Abbegail2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home is great. It’s large, open, and modern. It’s decor and fireplace creates a warmth that is cozy and friendly. I could imagine how fun it would be to stay here during the summer months to take advantage of the huge yard, grill, and fire pit.

    James2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cute farmhouse with lots of room. My aunts, my mom, my daughter and I all stayed there very comfortably. The stairs are a bit steep but very do able. Highly recommend if you are staying in this area. It was close enough to our family that we found it super convenient and relaxing.

    Cassandra2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply amazing! We were here for My daughter's wedding and my brother who has been to many airbnbs said this was the best one he had ever been to!

  • Marta and Erwin’s place was amazing. We had such a great time and my dog loved it. They even provided a bed for him with toys and cookies. Very very amazing hosts, would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend!

    Maggie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Marta and Erwin are simply awesome! One of the best stays we’ve ever had so far! They’re super responsive and were providing a lot of options to overcome some unexpected weather related hiccups which they of course didn’t have any control on! Everything worked out perfectly and they truly made us felt at home, and our dog simple loved them! Hats off to them for being such outstanding hosts! Thanks soo much guys!

    Karen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Marta and Erwin have a lovely and extremely clean space. They checked in to make sure we had all our needs taken care of without being invasive. The location is very pretty and quiet, and the property is very well taken care of. Stay with them!

  • Such a beautiful place to stay. Marta and Erwin were great, and super flexible with our stay!

    Mikhayla2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely apartment features more “extras” than one can imagine—an experience full of bonuses! Not only is the suite of rooms new, tasteful, sparkling clean and very spacious, but there are TWO bathrooms (one with two showers, including a tub-shower), a lovely screened in porch, another porch with a large porch swing, views out to peaceful woods, a comfortable living room with reclinable couch and chair, and in and on. The kitchen is fully appointed with everything an excellent cook would need to live there for weeks or months. There are elegant candles and special lighting including many dimmer switches throughout, a computer on the desk in the office space, lots of menus for local restaurants, a lock box for keeping valuables, and a dog bed and fun new toy left for my dog. I was very pleasantly surprised by the obvious care and thoughtfulness put into the decorating and furnishing of this apartment, and hope to return whenever I am able. Thank you to my gracious hosts!

    Jane2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for a weekend in Maine , nice private place. Appreciated the extra bathroom amenities ! They have a roku for netflix and stuff which was appreciated. Everything you need for a weekend away. Cute private porch too.

  • Wow. Just...wow. Me and my mother needed an escape and booked one night, very last minute (like NYE “night” at 3am for 3pm check-in). They were accommodating and responded by 5 am. Had no problem with the same day reservation. From there everything was on point. - communication excellent - responses virtually instant - place was way better than expected (so much so that we decided to stay TWO extra nights) - accommodating (had no problem with the last minute extension) - PET FRIENDLY! This is amazing. It’s such a nice place and being able to have my pets there with us during a difficult time was priceless - everything was so nice it made you WANT to take care of it like your own place I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Marta, Erwin and Georgia’s place. 🐾

The carriage house is a small guest cottage just a few steps from the lake. The cottage consists of one bedroom with a queen bed, a large bathroom with shower, a full kitchen, and a great front porch with a view of the river and lake. It's in a quiet location on a private, dead end, dirt road with just three other homes. It's best suited for a single person or couple looking for a quiet escape.
The cottage is cozy, convenient to the lake, and, because the huge front porch doubles as the livingroom, is geared toward those who want to spend time outdoors. Lake access is a few steps from the front door. You can fish off the dock, bring your kayak or canoe so you can explore the lake, or simply sit by the water or campfire with a book or a glass of wine. The local country store, which has all the necessities, is 2 miles from the cottage; the nearest supermarket is 9 miles up the road. There are several good restaurants within a 15-minute drive. It's a 30-minute drive to Concord (the NH state capitol) and about 60 minutes to ocean beaches or outlet shopping in Kittery, Maine. If you're a hiker, Mount Major trails are 20 minutes away, and it's an easy day drive to the White Mountain National Forest.

Their chickens, dogs, and cats made the place feel like a friendly farm, without having all the noises and hassles of a commercial farm. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through the area, (especially in the fall when the leaves are changing into bright reds, oranges, and yellows).

  • Error! Or rather, a feeling of great regret arose when entering the house of K & V Farm and knowing that the booking is only for one night! The house offers every comfort and stands out in particular by a lot of atmosphere. Such a cozy and original accommodation is certainly rarely found during lifetime. The two lovely hosts fill the house with life and heartfelt family hospitality. We were unfortunately only one night guest but our recommendation can not be emphatic enough! Vickie and Ken, thank you for welcoming us to your home! See you next time!! Sylvie & Božo

  • This "New Hampshire home with a Montana flare" is exactly as promised! One of the nicest airbnb homes we have ever stayed in. We can't say enough good things about Vicki. She is the quintessential host, providing so much more than is typical. We were met with a warm welcome that just continued throughout the weekend, with many lovely surprises. We were in Wolfeboro to celebrate my husband's birthday and do some kayaking. Vicki made the event so special and even had a beautiful cake for Ed! The guests who were also staying there were lovely people and we enjoyed sharing our stories of travel and life. Vicki's husband, Ken, made us feel like we were all part of a big extended family. For me, that's the best you can ask for! A home away from home. Thank you Vicki and Ken, we'll be back! Iris Newalu

  • Craig’s cabin is an excellent space to go for unplugging and relaxing in simplistic serenity. I found the whole place warm and inviting, and the private location was so far removed from light pollution that the sky truly popped. I was happily surprised to find firewood supplied to add to the warmth and character of the rest of the space. Craig was very responsive and communicative, and went out of his way to make sure I had realistic expectations. I would absolutely stay again

We appreciated having basics like spices and cooking spray, not to mention laundry pods and dryer sheets. There was TV and a DVD player as well as games for entertainment. Instructions were clear for check-in and check-out. Jim did a great job setting everything up.

  • This place is a very nice and quiet retreat into the wilderness of New Hampshire. It's on a beautiful lake surrounded by natural beauty. Being able to sit on the dock and dip your feet into the water, or going for long walks down the winding dirt roads. You will have an amazing, relaxing time at this house. My girlfriend and I stayed for 10 nights and we were very sad when it was time to return home. Hope to be back next year!

  • I was only in town for one night and this was the perfect place for me. I forgot to bring a couple of items and Marc took care of it for me. Very gracious young man and I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through this town.

    Steve2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Marc's place is very simple and clean. The room was a bit cold because it was in the winter and Marc was gracious enough to provide me with a space heater. There was a snow storm that came through while I was there and Marc made sure I was safe. Marc is a great host and has some wonderful stories to tell. His pitbull, TyTy, is a sweet little baby of a pitbull. I highly recommend Marc's place and will definitely be back the next time I am in New Hampshire!

It was so nice to be so close to both the mountain and the lake- we would love to book Alexander’s place again in the future!

  • We are two couples who stayed at this condo. The condo was better than the pictures and was SO clean with new appliances. Each room has a queen bed and bathroom, which was super convenient. The owners left a detailed manual which covered everything from working the tv to checkout instructions. They even recommended restaurants and gave us a restaurant coupon! The condo is a 3 minute drive to Gunstock Ski area, which we drove to two days to go skiing. This is the perfect house for a ski weekend! Thank you, we had a great time.

    Vanessa2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

This is a lovely, simple cabin; very quiet, very private. The cabin is 200 yds from a paved road down a dirt drive into a 100 acre conservation area. It is one mile from a small town and 11 miles from Ogunquit Beach and the Maine shore. The cabin is booked through August 16, 2020. Book now for mid August through mid-October 2020. PLEASE NOTE: I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESPOND BETWEEN JAN.22 AND FEB.13.
This is a cabin in the Maine woods for outdoor enthusiasts with 100+ acres of woods, ponds, and marked trails in the midst of a conservation area. It is also only 12 miles to the Maine seashore and beaches. Longer stays encouraged. No other neighbors, occupants, residents, guests, or hosts around. Surrounded by woods and open unused fields full of animals and birds. It is not suitable for infants or children under 5yrs as there are ticks in season and a pond on site and the kitchen etc is not "child-proofed". There is no Cable, no landline, no TV but there is great cell phone service and "Personal Hot Spots" work quite well. The cabin is 75 mi from Boston, 43 mi from historic Portland ME, and 21 mi from vibrant Portsmouth NH's restaurants, museums, and entertainments. The wildlife viewing from the porch frequently includes deer, porcupines, turkeys, and many species of birds. The surrounding Conservation Area includes an 18th century cemetery, streams, the Negutaquet River, and 100 acres of woods and trails. The cabin interior is pine through-out with a screened, glassed porch running the entire south side (See photos). There are books and board games , a comfortable couch, swing, and chairs for reading and relaxing.
The "neighborhood" is a 100+ acre Conversation Area with hiking trails and streams. The wild turkeys and porcupines are not unique, but they sure are cute! The acreage around the cabin is private and includes the pond which attracts frogs, deer and birds.
  • Ideal choice if you are looking for privacy and a quiet place. The hiking trails around the cabin are wonderful.

    Joseph2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the perfect little place! We spent our days exploring the wonderful area (Kennebunk, Wells, Kittery, etc). Our nights and mornings were spent enjoying the quietness of the cabin with its beautiful pond & trails. Vera provided everything that you would need (blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, even some food items). It was a great experience and we hope to return soon with our children & pets.

    Jason2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Vera was a very accommodating host with a great property. She allowed us to stay an extra night after we decided to stay in town another day. The cabin is rustic but comfortable, and met our expectations. We’d stay again given the chance!

    Gwen2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful place in a quiet area. The place is bigger than expected. Lovely place to spend vacation with kids. We'll come back for sure!

    Marc-Olivier2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far my favorite stay so far. The cottage is so serene and picturesque. We slept on the porch, looking at the stars as we fell asleep and woke up to birds chirping. It was a perfect spot between Boston and Portland. We went to a concert Saturday night and were back before 11. We were also just 15 minutes from Ogunquit. The place was clean and clearly very well maintained. It was a perfect spot!

    Kate2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We adored our stay! We will definitely stay again if we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity.

    Mary Ellen2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We spend 6 nights at the cottage. It is very cute and also bigger than what we expected. The best feature is the setting in full nature with no neighbors. We saw wild turkeys and a shy fox. There are nice walking trails just when you step outside the cottage. The interior has 2 double beds [one mattress is firm and the other smoother]and a wide room with so many windows you are almost outside. Expect crickets and frogs singing loud at night. Better than having cars and trucks passing by. Kitchen is basic but well appointed. There are spices and other ingredients you can use. No dishwasher (we didn’t care). It is a wonderful and quiet place, 20 minutes only from the beach. We appreciated the fact that the Hannaford grocery is 5 minutes from the chalet. We recommend this place to all person who favors quietness vs luxury. We were very happy there.

    Denis & Suzanne2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had the entire cabin to ourselves. It's huge, quite well built, very clean and comfortable. It's also extremely private; we were literally the only people in over a hundred acres. Our hostess provided many thoughtful accommodations for life without TV or Internet, including books, games, and a laminated map detailing the miles of well-maintained hiking trails surrounding the cabin. We slept well in the front, surrounded by many windows that look out to the forest and the stars, but there's also a second bed if you prefer walls to windows. If you ever get tired of nature, it's actually only a few minutes to town, (or about a half hour to the shore), and everyone we met was extremely friendly. 100% accurate. Excellent value. Five stars! Thank you!

  • Cannot recommend Peter and Marianas house enough. We only stayed for one night to break up our drive to Canada however had a fabulous stay and wished we could have stayed much longer. The house is in a beautiful location and we could easily park on the drive. Bedroom 3 is clean, has its own private bathroom, is very spacious and has a lovely balcony and view. • Jillian and her husband were excellent and accommodating hosts. Friendly, warm and helpful. The cabin was great! A fully stocked kitchen made cooking a joy with an amazing view and breeze while you prepped. Beds were crazy comfy. The water was clear and the sunsets gorgeous. Great spot on an already beautiful lake. A real island camp experience. We’re going back !

    Joanne2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little camp on Rattlesnake Island! Parking and boat ramp very close with private launch. Good sized main dock, with a secondary safe dock for choppy water. Rocky waterfront, but very accessible swimming via ladder on dock. Private bedroom with a queen on the first floor, with plenty of sleeping space upstairs. It was perfect for our group of adults. Take care with little ones though, the upstairs does have a gate at the top, but the stairs are quite steep, and the deck out front does not have a railing for part of it. Not atypical for camps. Overall, wonderful stay! Excellent communication with the hosts. Would definitely book again!

Welcome to our guest space: a daylight basement, with parking next to your own entry, and bathroom with shower. Upon arrival, you'll enter your own door and survey your space: a queen bed with memory foam, table, coffee pot, mini fridge, closet, and bathroom. The far "wall" is a locked privacy panel. Our family area is upstairs so you won't be disturbed. We spend lots of time enjoying the wonderful Maine summer outdoors. We happily welcome you to our little corner of Maine!
NOTE: As home to 5 children, we do our best to keep them quiet, but they are typically awake around 7-7:30. To muffle any noise you may hear, we encourage you to run the bathroom vent fan as that softens the upstairs sounds. (Also, since this is their home, they will run, sing, laugh, and act like kids all day until their 8 PM bedtime.)
Waterboro is a wonderful little town with small local businesses and community events. We love to visit the many lakes and parks in our community. The ocean beaches are less than an hour away, and one of our favorites, Wells Beach is only about 45 minutes from us. For the avid nature fan, walker, biker, runner, or bird watcher, we recommend the trails close to us, but also the Rail Trails in Sanford, about 10 miles away.
  • Becky is a great host. She is helpful and always approachable. I would book the accommodation with her again at any time.

    Daniela2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay! Becky was a great host; very clean; lots of extras to make us feel at home.

    Myrna2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Becky’s space is like Pinterest come to life! There are so many thoughtful touches and amenities. It was relaxing, clean, and a joy to stay in! Would 100% stay again!

    Megan2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • As mentioned in the description, the children around the house are a bit loud (running through the house, etc) throughout the day, if you are staying in your room in the afternoon, but it starts to die down around night time. If you need to rest up for the whole afternoon after a long day of traveling and are a light sleeper, I do not recommend this place due to the noise. Overall, the area was pretty quiet and relaxing, and the room was cozy. There were snacks waiting for us when we arrived, which was a nice touch after a long drive.

    Chris2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very nice and comforting. Becky was also one of the nicest hosts I have met

    Morgan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Becky is a great host. The place is spotless. Yes, like she says, it could be a little noisy in the morning but it did not bother us at all. Would not hesitate to stay at her place again.

    Francois2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Price is great for this private room with your own entrance & bathroom. It has a mini fridge which Becky had stocked with water bottles & milk for cereal & muffins made by her daughter! It was a joy to stay here.

    Martha2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Becky is one of the nicest Airbnb hosts we have ever met! She created a really comfortable and cozy space with many extra touches provided for her guests such as toothbrushes, little chocolate treats and bottled water in the fridge. And when the weather turned cooler, she left an extra blanket for us with a sweet note:) The room is even better than the description and Becky is quick to respond to any questions and helpful in every way. Even though Waterboro is about 40 min from Portland, it was a pleasant drive through the countryside. For the mornings, Becky also provides a coffee maker, breakfast cereals and Becky’s daughter bakes delicious treats! We really enjoyed our stay with this family and we would definitely return again if we are in the area!

  • Sharon's place was lovely; it was just the right amount of space for a couple and cozy. Everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We were in town for the Ice Castles in East Woodstock and loved all the recommendations Sharon includes in her description of the area. We went to the restaurant right down the road, Ellocoya Barn & Grill and had a delicious dinner. We stopped at Funspot Arcade (the biggest arcade in the world) before we headed out of town. It was a great weekend and we would definitely recommend Sharon's place - great value and Sharon is an amazing and responsive host.

  • My family had a wonderful stay here. It's very nice it's a pet friendly property, although you wouldn't know it because it is so clean. We didn't have a dog with us, but it's really this is an option for those who do. The design is airly and light with cathedral ceiling and large windows/skylight. My family enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

    Mary2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon's place is exactly what our family needed. Cozy and comfortable just like your own home. Sharon went above and beyond with special touches like having balloons and a cake for my son's bday which was the day we checked in. Very comfortable beds and super sheets. Its close to Gunstock and it was great to return back after a day of skiing and just relax. Super value and overall highly recommend Sharon's place!

  • I am very happy we stayed here. The view was amazing, the swimming was great, and the cabin was cozy. Compared to the other rentals available this place was a great value. Some tips I would give for staying here are: bring your groceries because there aren't any big grocery stores around, and bring sandals walking around the property because the gravel is rough on the feet. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Joseph was responsive and very welcoming. We'll be back!!

  • I'll echo everyone else's reviews here: Joe and his family are great hosts and made us feel very welcome this weekend. The studio is perfect for 2, with a comfortable bed, good shower, lots of modern touches and a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and the lake beyond. My husband and I were looking for an opportunity to switch off from city life, and Joe's place certainly delivered. Every time we grilled food, Joe appeared with an offer of vegetables from his wife's garden, and he offered us to ride on his jetski and pontoon boat. We really enjoyed using the kayaks too. The lake is quite shallow (I understand not much more than 6ft?) which meant that even though the temperature was in the low 70s the lake water was still plenty warm enough to relax in. The lake also has lots of little islands and places to explore so it's a great place to go kayaking. We enjoyed hearing the loons and had our eyes open for the eagles that make the lake their home - no luck this time but we will be back!

    Claire2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Joesph's place is cute, cozy, and very nice. Has everything you could possibly need and in a nice quiet location. Exactly what we were looking for.

    Paige2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and infant daughter had a wonderful time staying at Joe's cottage this past week. Both Joe and his wife greeted us when we arrived, offered up veggies from their huge garden, and let us know they would be available if we needed anything at all. The inside studio cottage is modern and updated, with great amenities and everything you'd need. Joe's home is RIGHT next door, and they graciously shared their outdoor space with the cottage. Joe even offered up a sunset cruise on a few nights! Can't say enough nice things about our relaxing stay - the water and lakefront are beautiful as well. Don't miss out on the sunsets. Thanks!

    Dan2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful week in Joseph and Shirley’s cottage. We could totally relax in this peaceful place and really enjoyed the beauty of the lake and of this region. The backyard is great with direct view on the lake and a lovely fire pit. We had a lot of fun with the canoes and the board games. We are very thankful for Joseph and Shirley’s good tips and their warm welcoming. Joseph et sa famille nous ont chaleureusement accueilli, l’endroit et le cottage sont magnifiques. Nous recommandons vivement.

  • This place is perfect. It was SO quiet and peaceful. It is in one of the best parts of town - really wonderful quiet neighborhood convenient to everything. We loved the walk to the beach which is on the best part of lake Winnipesaukee. Elaine and Jack spoiled us with home baked treats - and we had extra to help us through a freezing day at the Abenaki Slalom race my son raced in. We had a blast and it was nice having this super cozy home away from home. Thank you!!!

  • Jack and Elaine's place was perfect for a quick overnight in Wolfeboro before an all-day retreat in New Hampshire, but I would stay for a longer trip. The bed was fantastically comfortable, the entire suite spacious, sparkling clean, and quiet. Jack's blueberry coffee cake for breakfast was surprisingly substantive and very delicious. Would love to stay here again on a future trip! Highly recommended; value was outstanding.

At The Inn at Smith Cove, we have a variety of accommodations available for your stay on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. The Cove Room is our best value ... a great price for room with a Queen bed and lake view on the 2nd floor of the Inn. All rooms are decorated in their individual Victorian settings with private baths, and air conditioners.
  • The Inn was easy to get to, and immaculately clean. Our room overlooked the lake; we woke up to a breathtaking view in the morning. The host was courteous and hospitable. She went out of her way several times to make sure we were comfortable. We were in town for a close friends wedding, and pretty stressed, but she made us feel very welcome. This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I- we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you!
