We really enjoyed our stay at Ginny’s. The place is really beautiful and peaceful.

Ginny's little place is truly magical. It's a real home away from home and the homemade jams really were a lovely touch. This place is so much better than the pictures!! On arrival Ginny bought us some fresh milk and was really friendly then she left us to our stay. Very private and you feel away from everything so it was the perfect trip for us. The pool area is amazing, we were gutted the weather was overcast so we couldn't enjoy it but we still sat around it for a while. The Hot tub is a gorgeous place to chill out and unwind!! This is an astonishing air bnb...don't miss out!!

What a fantastic place is this. Everything is clean and all you need is there. Even a swimming pool. And when you walk to the general store you can buy your fish and chips and graag a beer in the famous Puhoi pub ( or you can buy the pub because it was on sale when we were there ). Go here; when you are Lucky enough that you can book it

Great place very relaxing

This is a little character gem in a character gem of a township. Made good use of the pool and the private outdoor deck set in the rustic cottage garden setting. It is obvious that our hosts aim to please with beautiful little details...... loved the homemade jam. Walking distance to the iconic Puhoi pub and village and a wonderful comfortable king bed. We highly rate this property.

Stay at Ginny's airbnb was an amazing experience! The detailed instructions on how to get there was fab and the check in process was seamless! The space was clean and cozy. Having access to the pool and the spa was a major plus! Highly recommend to all!

Bronwyn’s place is comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We were only able to stay one night but had a wonderful stay. Bronwyn was friendly and helpful and made excellent recommendations. We also appreciated all the goodies she provided for breakfast. I would definitely recommend Bronwyn’s place to anyone staying in the area.

It was so great to stay at Tui Hideawy Bronwyn and Johnathan were great hosts. Bronwyn has thought of everything, we arrived late at night and the unit was all ready for us plus Bronwyn was there to greet us. Loved all the little touches like cookies on arrival (homemade cookies) and breakfast goodies in the fridge. The bed was so comfortable and sheets to die for nearly didn't wan to get out of bed never mind leave!! Next time we are passing we will definitely stay again.

This location is beyond beyond exquisite!!! We had one of our best holidays and I can honestly say this is one of the best airbnbs I've ever stayed at!!!! Anna and Brian are the most hospitable and friendly hosts one could possibly imagine. We had a great time in their property, which is in an excellent location to hang out for an extended period because it is convenient to many things - parks, interesting towns, Auckland and shopping. The photos do not do justice to the appeal of the location, which is high on a ridge with lovely views. We would definitely return and recommend this to our friends. Thank you again Anna and Brian!

The place is absolutely amazing. Anna&Brian are by far the best hosts we had during our travels. The scenery is beautiful, the house was very clean and welcoming, and of course the pool is incredible.

Kushla was wonderful to communicate with and we loved her stylish, private, quiet and comfortable place. Rather than go out to eat all the time, we instead decided to cook most of the time as it was so easy to feel at home in, and such a nice environment in which to relax and chat. That was helped by the way the kitchen was very well appointed and stocked with all the little things needed. Very highly recommended.

Kushla’s place was very comfortable and clean. It has everything you need including cooking utensils and toiletries. Netflix was a big bonus for my mum during the evening when all of us were heading to bed. The beds were cozy and good quality linen were provided. Such a beautiful home. I booked last minute because an air bnb before had cancelled so Kushla confirmed my booking very quick which made things moving forward quicker. The house was amazing and pretty much had everything for you . Only thing missing was a washing machine (my fault for missing it on the amenities list) but a laundromat was only down the road so it wasn’t a bother at all. Definitely recommend . Definitely coming back. Kushla responds quickly and is very helpful . Really comfortable bed as well

Where to start..... This vacation get away was PERFECT in every way! Susan thought about everything. -12/10 we would recommend to others because everything was pictured as it actually was! -Susan was easy to communicate with and let us check in a bit early since our flight arrived sooner than expected. -There were fresh treats with a nice welcome note when we arrived. -The place was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to feel at home, away from our home. The bed was super comfortable as well! -The land was spacious and we had our privacy. There was a beautiful garden and a cool "hike" around the property. We would absolutely stay here again and dream about our next vacation to NZ.

Wow, this place is simply stunning! We chose it to complete our NZ tour as it is only an hour away from Auckland airport. It has the most spectacular view of any property we have ever stayed in and with a double aspect view from our bed it was heaven to wake up to. From our balcony we could see the lights of the city and even as far as the Coromandel peninsula as well as a view into the valley that has been reclaimed by our hosts into original bush to encourage birds to visit. Susan provided a very generous delicious breakfast and a cheese platter for when we arrived as well as a glass of wine to welcome us which was very much appreciated. The apartment is completely separate from the main house and very private. It has been decorated with great thought and style with lovely bedding, towels and beautiful kitchen equipment. The bathroom is gorgeous and luxurious with great products provided. We were only 5 mins drive down the hill to Puhoi which is an historic settler village that has remained largely intact. There is a small village store for most basics and a larger supermarket 20 mins drive away. We loved our stay here and would recommend it for anyone who wants peace and quiet with great views to relax and unwind. We hope to return someday if we ever visit Auckland again.

Susan is a brilliant host and her place is amazing. We landed in Auckland and drove straight to hers. We love the finishes of her guest cottage inside and out. The view out is beautiful and quite other worldly. We look forward to the opportunity to stay at hers again on any future visit to New Zealand.

This is a beautiful cottage. It is situated in the grounds of the owners' main property and it has fantastic views to the south east towards the Coromandel Peninsula and all the coast in between. It is even possible to pick out the Auckland Sky Tower. The cottage has a wonderful balcony from which to soak in the view - we had dinner and breakfast on the balcony. The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. The curtains in particular add to the character of the place. The bathroom is excellent, especially the walk-in shower. The huge bed is very comfortable.

Susan's apartment is a wonderful place to stay while in the area. We have stayed at well over 30 Airbnb locations in a dozen countries and Susan's is among the very best. The privacy of the location, the beautiful views, and the comfortable living quarters made our stay memorable from the moment we walked, and we were continually finding thoughtful touches throughout. We would gladly have stayed longer.

Best Airbnb ever. Usually when planning a trip, you choose a location you want to visit, and you find an accommodation there. For Susan’s place, I highly recommend the opposite. You book her place, and then you explore the area around. I have stayed in more than 100 Airbnb’s and this is by far the best ever. The pricing is not cheap but trust me, it’s worth the value of what you are getting. The views are priceless, the finishing and quality of the house is immaculate and off the highest quality. You get better amenities than a 5 star hotel. Loccitane toiletries, Sheridan towels, Super high quality mattress. Branded washer, dryer, oven, microwave, tv etc... every detail has been carefully curated to ensure your holiday of the highest level. A welcome platter that includes croissants, cheese platter, ice cream, butter, bread, jam, milk, cold pressed orange juice, eggs, yoghurt, Lindt chocolates, cereals, chips. To TOP it off, susan was very friendly, pro active and made many recommendations for things to do. Highly recommended for couples who need that romantic quality getaway without bursting the Budget on a 5 star hotel suite

This place will blow your mind, perfect to relax in an wonderful environment, close to all amenities yet you feel secluded in your own bubble. A little slice of heaven. Planning a return trip SOOOOON.

My wife and I stayed at Denise and Mark's poolhouse at the beginning of March. Upon arriving Denise met us to show us everything we need to know about the poolhouse. She also gave us many helpful tips on the area. The house itself was amazing. It's very private with a pool and hot tub with plenty of tables and chairs outside to relax on. The inside was clean and modern. The whole front wall is glass to overlook the pool and the great views. The bed was comfortable. The pictures on the website are accurate. We highly recommend this place for couples or small families.

This is a wonderful place to stay as a family or as a couple looking for a peaceful and secluded place to stay for a short or long break. Mark and Denise are great hosts and everything you need is provided. We will be back!

Very clean and extremely good value with easy communication. Just a short walk to a great and safe beach. Quite a lot of noise from first floor apartment but that was expected after reading previous reviews.

The flat has everything needed for a great stay. Well equipped kitchen and modern throughout. The bedroom is oversized, we were able to fit our daughters cot in the room comfortably. The bed was very comfortable. The only downside is the noise from the upstairs unit, footsteps and talking is easily heard. Waiwera beach was very quite, most days having the whole beach to ourselves which was awesome! The water is very safe, flat no waves so great for little ones and only 2 mins walk from the flat. Communication with the owners was very fast, no problems there. Overall I think this is really great value for money, I hope we can come back for another trip soon. 😊

Clean & comfortable. Great location for travelling around to beaches & regional parks on north east & north west coast of the North island. Easy to get bus into Auckland. 2 min walk to Waiwera beach. Really enjoyed our stay there.

A very quiet location and so close to the beach. The unit was very clean and comfortable a great getaway spot.

We spent an incredible few months at Shanon's place and it has been one of the highlights of our time in New Zealand. Waiwera is stunning, the beach is amazing and about a three minute walk away from the home. Wenderholm Regional Park is a 10 minute walk away and has some beautiful trails with easy and moderate hikes. If you stay here I'd recommend getting up early to enjoy the unreal sunrises at the beach and checking out the Sunday market in Orewa. There are frequent buses between Waiwera and Orewa (larger town with grocery stores, cheap 10 minute ride away). The home has fast wifi and nice amenities, Shanon was fast to respond to any messages we sent, good communication. This place is perfect, we're missing it already!

What a sweet spot! I’ve never heard of an individual hot spring at the house. How lucky! It definitely was too short a stay. We’ll be back. Next time not during the Pandemic.

We had a very pleasant stay at Shanon’s place. Waiwera is a quiet small town with a beautiful bay. It’s a quick drive from Orewa, where you can find lots of shops and restaurants. The apartment is clean and spacious. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking with pots, pans, functional knives (!) and lots of dishes. Parking is conveniently located right in front of the house. The beach is a short walk away, a perfect place to see sunrise! We also enjoyed the cedar tub in the backyard. Overall this is a great value for the area! High recommend!

The space was bright and light filled by day, and private and subdued ( after the curtains were drawn) for a wonderful sleep at night. Joy provided items for breakfast, and enough for a light supper on arrival, that were very generous and welcoming. Her tips about the area were very helpful. Her hospitality was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Brilliant location for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Auckland. Space was much bigger than expected! Minutes walk from a beach, less than 10 mins to the marina at gulf harbour and handy to drive to other beaches in the area. Joy was a pleasure to deal with. The breakfast items were a thoughtful touch, as were the home grown tomatoes- thanks so much. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from city life!

This is a typical Kiwi family home - its not a retirment home. The family are superb and very active and involved with a good routine. Great place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay with James and his lovely family a lot. The beach was accessible by bicycle within 20 minutes and the room provides everything you need.

This was my first time utilizing AirBnB. I stayed here for a month and it was amazing! The space was nice and clean, the family was incredibly welcoming, and since I stayed for a few weeks being located near a shopping center with shops, cafes, and a grocery store was ideal. The time I spent here was great and I would definitely recommend to others!

This is a lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean, fresh towels and free soap and showergel provided. Comfortable room and single bed. I could come any go as I pleased quietly due to them both working. Breakfast was available if needed.

Location close to nature, mountain and forest. Bathing bay about 5 minutes by car also very nice. No WiFi and no Microwelle.TV and radio on request. Super gas grill and washing machine available. Parking at the house. We really liked it here

Marilyns place is beautifully presented, very comfortable, private and sparkling clean. It’s well equipped for short stays and we were very happy to find complimentary milk in the fridge, bottled water and toiletries. Would definitely recommend to others.

I had a really great stay at Marilyn’s place. Was perfect for what I needed. Great host, really nice spacious space, quiet surroundings, beautiful garden outlook and some nice glimpses of the beach and out towards Kawau Island. About a minute drive back to all the shops at Snells Beach. Highly recommended.

Hazel's stay was perfect for making our way closer to Auckland without having to stay in the busy CBD. The place was clean, bed was comfy and the provided breakfast an extra bonus. Richard made sure we found parking arriving in the dark and gave us a few great suggestions for things to do in the area. Very hospitable host!

Hazel and Richard’s Airbnb was an absolute delight! They were friendly and helpful and the little stable cottage was the perfect place to spend time! The “stable” was spectacular! The hospitality was first rate. Great ideas for dinner, beautiful landscape and the hospitality was lovely. If you like quiet and peacefulness, this is the place for you. Breakfast was an added bonus, delicious and convenient. We recommend the “stable” and wish we could give it more than 5 stars.

We stayed as a couple with our infant daughter. The place is a great size and very comfortable, like a home from home. Everything you could possibly ask for is here. Location wise, shops and eating are incredibly close. There is also a choice of beaches, we opted to walk to Manly, with a stroller, and it was fine. The beach was practically deserted and beautiful. The walk was 10 mins, with minimal hills! Anoja was such a lovely host, I would not hesitate to book here again.

Nina and Jeff have an awesome place. The guest suite is very spacious and extremely clean. The bed is comfortable and the sheets/comforter are super soft. The water pressure from the shower is excellent. This is one of the best AirBnB experiences we've had and we would love to come back!

It was a lovely even though a short stay at Olwyn's place. 5* for everything. Artistic touch up added value to our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect accommodation for a great Orewa stay. Olwyns home is a stylish and comfortable home. But the best part is the host, Olwyn she is super friendly and made sure that we felt welcome in her home. Beds were super comfy, and shower was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice rooms, with lovely bathroom with bad and shower. We could make use of the kitchen and sittingroom. Very private and super near the sea, where we would spent the hole afternoon.

Loved staying at Kirsten's place. The house is remote on a hilltop. We were warmly welcomed by a wonderful family, two dogs, a goat, chickenand horses. Bed is super comfy and the shower has indeed a beautiful view. We had lovely conversations, got great tipps and would totally come again.

A glowing report, so friendly but I believe if privacy was what you wanted they would anticipate this and oblige. The bed and pillows were super luxury to a level of comfort never felt before. Thoroughly recommend the home of Kirsten, Laurie and their 2 dogs who loved both me and my man.

The house is secluded, in a beautiful setting. Chickens, two goats, two horses, two dogs and one cat are walking around the house. We received a warm welcome and were given tips for places of interest on our route. The guest room is neat and has its own entrance.

Kirsten's place is located in a quiet area in the middle of nature. You can enjoy farm life and native forest. The family is friendly. I spent a nice time at the farm.

A lovely place in the countryside. The room is cosy and has his own deck where you can sit in the evening and catch the last rays of sunshine. Kirsten and her family are very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Heather and Allan are such hospitable hosts. The studio is a little slice of paradise - we loved taking the kayaks out and going for swims! We had the best little getaway in our two nights here and would definitely book again.

A stylish studio with all amenities in a beautiful area. Close to the sea for a daily swim and not far from Snells Beach, Matakana, Warkworth. Very hospitable hosts made our stay memorable. Very clean and comfortable.

Perfect getaway for some relaxation. Just what we needed. Georgeous location. We used the Kajaks on our first evening. Room was very clean and bed just soooo comfy. Heather and Allen are very friendly and great hosts. It was really nice chatting with them.

Pamela made us feel so welcome, as if we were guests she had been looking forward to and not part of a financial transaction. We hadn't expected to arrive so late but she took all the embarrassment out of it. We really enjoyed chatting with her and her friend Tony, getting some local knowledge too, and having the big space available in the fridge was SUCH a help. Will definitely contact Pamela again if we have a chance to stay in that area. As an ex-dog owner, I can't believe how her house is SO spotless despite having poodle Charlie's happy presence. She does an amazing job of creating a caring, welcoming environment and atmosphere. Go and stay with Pamela, you'll feel right at home and won't regret your choice.

Amazing place - perfect!

Beautiful position with just the most lovely helpful host. We came in very early morning and Ian met us at the gate to let us in. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean Our Host even went to the trouble of putting down the block out blinds so we could sleep later. It was a delight to wake up and see the resident pig and cat outside our window. The view of horses and open paddocks was just lovely. We would recommend Pear Tree Farm to any weary traveler as a great place to stay.

HEAVEN ON EARTH! Nothing less than amazing! We were greeted by Ian and he is friendly and sweet! The room and bathroom are spacious & extremely clean. The living area has everything we need especially the pantry area stocked with snacks and tea! I’m already planning to return!

Stunning rural setting and distant sea view 'hosting' a virtual menagerie of farm animals - horses, chickens, cats, and a pig called Gertie.... Fruit, cereals, and a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available for breakfast. Well appointed and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Definitely recommend to those wanting a 'peaceful break away'.

One of those rare little pieces of Heaven stuck on earth, where time stands still and one looses themselves in serenity.

This place has a view to die for, absolutely stunning! The bedroom is all glass walls on the seaward side, so you can see it from the bed, or the chèz long if you prefer. Kung Fu is just adorable, so friendly and came right in to say hello and hang with us, very sweet.

This place is amazing. Beautiful location, spacious and well appointed accommodations, friendly hosts and an awesome dog. Loved our short stay and highly recommend this unique location. The owners have really spent the time and effort to create a special experience. One note, you will either need a car or to arrange for transport services. There are transportation services in Orewa that can be scheduled (we got around fine using Comfort Airport Shuttle).

Photos and description don’t do this place justice. The view, the fresh air, the private beach!!! All make it an absolute dream. People should know there is another apartment directly below but it made no difference to our stay. Also, there is a lovely small town close by and a fantastic national park just around the corner. Good internet and tv too!

If I could move in with Jan and Marleen I'd be the happiest person in New Zealand.

Jan and Marleen had to welcome us late that day but still took their time to make us feel comfortable. We very much enjoyed the chats we had and wished we could have talked more. Both are are very knowledgeable and kind. The room and the facilities are very good and the garden is a beauty too. Thanks and all the best!

I loved to stay at Jan and Marleen. The room is huge, quiet and clean. The house is very well located, easy to reach from Highway 1 (5 minutes). I recommend this place.

Such a wonderful stay! Our hosts were such a lovely, generous couple. We felt so welcome and at home. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. We were even given some eggs and bananas from their chickens and banana trees! Extra special touch. A lot of places to relax and read your book, whether that’s in the garden or on the deck area. Would love to stay again.

It was a really a awesome place I never been in my whole life it was more then our expectations and clean place and I suggested you want to peace in your life after a huge pressure of work on you you have to spend in this house at least two days it gave a relaxation when u wake up in morning and you saw a beautiful sun arise ❤️❤️😍😍

Gisela's unit was extremely comfortable and had beautiful views over the Hauraki Gulf. The unit was spotlessly clean and was well stocked with breakfast choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bruce and Gisela very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend their place for a stay in Auckland.

A very nice, spacious apartment (separate bedroom, fully equipped kitchen) with a view of the sea could also use the washing machine in the bathroom at Gisela! We felt very comfortable

We had an absolutely perfect 3 night stay in Gisela's beautiful apartment. It was spotlessly clean, furnished and decorated to the highest standard. A great outdoor seating area in a lovely peaceful garden with views to the ocean and beyond were also there to enjoy. The bed had lovely linen and was very comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom was also well thought through with matching towels, hand towel and face cloths, shampoo, conditioner, soap and body wash. There was also a washing machine and tub if required. The kitchen was also very well equipped if you were wanting to cook and cook books if you wanted a good recipe to follow. There were lots of brochures on Auckland and the surrounding districts, places to eat, books to read and games to play. Off street parking was also provided and path lighting to lead the way to the door in the dark. We would highly recommend Gisela's place to stay and we could see why she is a Super Host as everything really was perfect. We will definitely stay again in the future.

The accommodation is very well presented with some lovely personal touches. The kitchen is bijou, but very well equipped. The views from the main rooms are wonderful and on a clear day the islands glisten in the sunshine. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. One to remember and return to.

Beautiful, bright and peaceful retreat close to the beach and local amenities. Facing onto a gorgeous garden for reading or relaxing. The perfect destress location for individual travellers or couples!

The location and facilities are perfect. Cleanliness and views of the park from the property are fantastic. The landlord's consideration and thoughtfulness are wonderful. Restaurants, cafés and markets are nearby Because it was not at all uncomfortable. Highly recommended if you really want to relax alone is.

Wow! What an amazing host Jenny is. She gave me a really nice warm welcome and gave me a tour of her apartment. It was super clean! The bedroom where I stayed was as clean as any 5 star hotel! The water pressure of the shower was amazing and the bathroom was clean as whistle! We had some great conversations and Jenny also provided a huge continental breakfast, which went beyond my expectations. I have stayed at many Airbnbs and Jenny's place was the best value for money. She made me feel comfortable and I even booked again for a whole week next month that's how much I liked it! Ps: sorry for accidently setting off fire alarm from the steam from shower!

Jenny’s place was a little difficult to find as new development, not on my ancient sat nav. Otherwise, the place was lovely, new and spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy. Jenny is a warm and friendly host and she made me feel at home straight away. Nice bedroom (although could do with a table!) and lovely shower room on the landing. Jenny supplied towels, shower gel, cups of hot tea and light breakfast, plus a friendly chat. Would recommend.
